You scared me, I’m getting close to going cruising for the first time. You were most definitely inspirational for me. I really hope to see you out there one day
You and Chak have come a long, long, long, long way since getting the poop scared out of you and the boys sailing to Cuba. I'm excited for you and your first ocean crossing, even if we don't get coverage. Yeah, buddy.
There are many lonely hours on a sailboat at sea and at anchor. Us sailors need a calm and confident mindset. Joei, you have had a rough start and we recognize that but you need some friends that are crew and will hang with you. Your emotional mindset is not a lone sailor. Go sail with others and hsve fun til you meet a mate that will be ypur committed friend. Ask yourself a question. Am I crew or am I a Captain.
Joel, man, this is exactly the cruising lifestyle we all want. Sailing your own vessel, but taking delivery opportunities from time to time. Learning, laughing, crying, marveling at the universe. And "fixing" a sailboat which will never be fully "fixed." You're doing it. Keep it up. Keep sharing. ... And I would definitely get the AIS first thing when you get back. That'll make passages a lot more psychologically comfortable, imho. Thanks for the channel, brother.
I hope you can post regular updates on your crossing. It sounds like a great adventure, great Hands-on experiences and getting paid. Knowledge and experience is 👑. Go get it and come back. From the looks of the last few videos you've done a great job preparing Chak Matay to be able to pick up where you two left off. Joel, go and good luck on the next adventure.
Be confident in your vibe! You are successful already! We just love watching your adventures. Around the world on a nice vessel in style. Epic! Keep us tuned in.
Wow, that's so awesome! We are very excited for you! You're doing so well and glowing with a positive radiance! Be safe out there and we'll anxiously be awaiting your next upload on the crossing. ❤ ⛵️ 🏝 ⚓️
I've worked on giant yachts in boat yards on diesels and generators for years, many of the crew I become freinds with. Your journey is not unusual, get a job as crew, do some time and passages, gain experience, then "take time off between jobs" and cruise on your own time and terms. Good luck Joel!
wow a trip to Dubai. With luck you will get another delivery to bring something back from the Med or South Africa......what a great opportunity ...cheers Joel
Without seeing the video yet i must say the title must be clickbait, you would never give up, never surrender. You have a great attitude, and you would miss the squeeking of the ropes and woodwork of the boat. Last but not least a fully functional boat is a boat in a showroom, every boat is broken somewhere, just keep the dry side up!
If you like a sailingbuddy i am game, i have saved for my own boat, however few years back i had a collapsed lung, not long after this lung-cancer was discovered too, so i cant sail by myself, but i am a skilled prototype engineer (and a good painter, because my father was one), i know how to sail. i can be a good backup, source of info, and i have great humor and philosophical skills too. 😊
Ive been doing this for seven years, l did paint and sell the boat that needed everything to buy a boat where most was done, so l worked more instead...
Joel, Get your “Ordinary Seaman’s” paperwork and come to work on the tugs. 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off… Have a steady paycheck a 401k, medical, dental… Life Insurance. You can have it all…
You little phuker , you almost made me cry 😡😤 . This channel is like watching myself two years from now (yet 10 years younger than now lol) and that tugged on the strings. For real almost had a tear like substance leak out from my eyes, would have made me look like i was doing that , women thing they do when confronted with a problem or bad news.... You know the thing they do . GET THAT MONEY BRO and feed it to that wonderful ship !
Bahaha! That is a trip. Two years from now 10 years ago 🤔 Yea I’ve been known to leak a substance out of my eyes from time to time. Just glad nobody saw it…😉
A water heater? You gotta' be kidding me. You can build your own self-steering system for less than US$1,000. AIS is great but can be scary when you see all the shipping out there. Let all your troubles melt like lemon drops.
Cool, you had already mentioned the trip. Sooo....I hate phony drama setups, thumbnails, lines. All the BS drama at the start of this video just turns me right off. You were getting ready for the plan we already knew about, phonying it up didn't help you. Almost unsubed. I'll watch your trip, seems interesting, which it is all on it's own, psycho babble not needed.
Buddy ive watched you for years and its obvious you can move mountains. Stay strong and focused, youll do just fine.
You never give up. A man with no dream, is lost.
You scared me, I’m getting close to going cruising for the first time. You were most definitely inspirational for me. I really hope to see you out there one day
Not sure what the future holds, but there’s only one way to find out. Let’s go baby!
Yes! That’s what I always say, only one way 😁
Looking forward to the updates.... even if few and far between! Stay safe and you'll be a lot wiser when you return!
I hope you can feel it. Seems you are finding your groove. Stay nimble though. If your heart says to take a turn, listen. Keep swinging, brother ❤
Keep the dream alive ✨️. You can do this 💪.

More lives than a Cat and the adventure continues...with PAYOLA!!
You are lucky to be going south in the Red Sea. I went north and it was crazy. Crazy bad.
Oh my! That's one hell of a gig. Quite a lengthy trip, that's gonna be wild. 😁
Good luck on the delivery! I hope we catch up at the end of the hurricane season. I'm going to be practicing chess so watch your back my friend.
That should be an excellent delivery.

Get out there man and just go ! Lol
Yep🙏👍☺️

Do what you can, editing is hard work. and every moment a decision whether to film or not..
Thr boat does need things for you to safely single hand .Wise move to go make a few bucks .
How did you find your delivery crew opportunity?
Joel, Get your “Ordinary Seaman’s” paperwork and come to work on the tugs. 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off…
Have a steady paycheck a 401k, medical, dental… Life Insurance.
You can have it all…
Just sail go to Bali mate

You know it's hopeless when you are talking endlessly to your boat... Hope you go back to crewing with Thomas!!!
I thought that was the best part. Don't pee in his Wheaties!
