Great overview! Like that you are not afraid to voice critisism. Lovely design. Much better than Marantz’s last gen. winged front design language. But why no love for multi channel SACD? At very least put HDMI out on your players to transport native DSD to compatible Marantz processors.
Purifi modules at $16k is nuts... you can buy the most powerful an expensive purifi module yourself for less than $1k. Paying additional $15k for a pretty case is not my cup of tea.
They are going deep into hi end gear field like mid tier class d jeff rowland or ab/a class Gryphon. So if you can choose, would you pick it over that stuff? I don't think so.
Does the Link 10 has a HT (Home theater) pass trough? Can i connect the front left and right preout from the receiver to the Link 10 to use my front speakers in a surround setup?
As long as HEOS does not support Qubuz, the streamer is not of interest. A major drawback, since most competing brands do support Qobuz. For HEOS, it is promised for years now but nothing happened. BTW, I love my SA-10 SACD player.
You could buy 11 Emotiva Class A/B amps that put out 300 watts RMS at 8 ohms into two channels for the price of one of these Marantz 10s. Somehow I doubt there would be a significant sonic difference.
Same to be honest, I had one of their early AV receivers, the optical inputs failed out the blue one day, then the coaxial inputs about a month later. Went to an Onkyo - that also blew up one Christmas eve! Been with Yamaha since 2017 and never looked back and it’s now driving 5.1 4ohm speakers beautifully. Im just hoping that Yamaha don’t cease their interests in multichannel AVR’s…. Fingers crossed they launch updated 32/384 PCM multichannel with internal Streamer soon - then it will be time to upgrade for sure.
@@XavierWoodsofIndianapolis I had a surge protector and voltage regulator on the entire component stack. And no other components suffered any issues. Same mains equipment is still in use today so i can only assume i was very unlucky. Its just a shame because is leaves a feeling of fear when parting with a good amount of money for the brands. Once bitten, twice shy.
😣Marantz Company Already sold to Greedy USA New York Stock Exchange Share holder. Very Greedy & force Marantz to mark up Marantz brand at Sky High Price again. is coming very very Soon😥
I'm not saying these aren't good, or even great. And some people will buy them. But one of the reasons they are making these is to sell their other products. It helps salespeople say something like "this tech is trickled down to their more affordable products. So all the R&D wasn't only for these reference models!" It is a trick of the trade to make customers think they are getting more bang for their buck. You hear it all the time.

Thanks! Fair points there!
Looks great 👍 but Why class D at this price level ? Any advantages over class A/B When you compare similar priced class A/B amps
Same opinion here... purifi modules are super affordable top notch technology. Marantz trying to sell them at $16k is pure non-sense.
These new products from Marantz look stunning. I really like the idea that Marantz went with Purifi amps. They offer exceptional performance.
Yes, they are a big step up!

@@net_newsthe additional 15k is for the Marantz name.
The amp does look beautiful though.
@@net_news the pm10 was a big step down over the previous models
This are not replacement for the PM10 and SACD10, this are $15K, $12K, I hope Marantz release a Model 20 a "lower price" of this.
That would be nice to see.
I love marantz sound,i still use nr1711 with Dali Opticon 2 mk2 series 5.0 set up🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice!! That's a great setup!

Very good question. It will most likely come down to personal preference.
In this home acoustic is missing in home theatre or it not required ?
Not sure what you mean this is on the new Marantz components
What a beautiful amp!!
They are truly works of art!
@@AudioAdvice But did you hear them?

It does not appear to have that feature, sorry
Well done!
Thanks!!

We sure wish HEOS has Qobuz. Have you used it recently? It's been updated to be a lot better.
@@AudioAdvice I am a Qobuz subscriber and therefore cannot us HEOS.
Price out of my league.. How much better is it than the PM-10 which is more my price range?
Good review. Are Marantz ever going to make a stand alone streamer to replace the NA6006 (or which I own but has been around for years).
Not that we know of right now
Does the Link have MQA compatibility?
omg These are some big bois!
Sure are!!
Looking forward to listening to them
Hope you enjoy!
Very informative.
Thanks!
Does it 'only' have ARC and not eARC?
The Link 10 has ARC, the preamp 10 has eARC. Thanks for watching
Mmm what speakers to pair with these units
There are a lot of choices. Please reach out to our team at www.audioadvice.com to discuss which is best for you.
the pm10 was a big step down over the previous models
That gear looks absolutely amazing. Looking forward to hearing them someday soon on a reference level speaker system.
We hope you enjoy!
Gorgeous but priced in the stratosphere.. Hope they come out with the Model 8 or Model 9 tubes instead.
Yes, they are top of the line and priced like it. That would be a great option in the future!
$15k wow
Yes, they are not cheap!

Why does this channel need vice in the title?
?
Miami?
Too bad that only make them for rich people only. I feel so left out.
The great thing is that this tech will trickle down to their more affordable products. So all the R&D wasn't only for these reference models!
This is so true. They could not finance the R&D without audiophiles with bigger means. And everybody benefits down the line 🎉
They range from 9k-15k. 😂 They look nice though.🥴
Yes, they definitely aren't cheap!
They look huge or are you really small
Haha, no they are huge!
Model 10 + Link 10n = preamp redundancy 1x (67 kg)
Conclusion: We need a Model 10n.
An all in one would be cool!
More of an add than a review. No measurements, nothing.
The title does say “Overview”…
I had 3 Marantz receivers all die within 3 years. To me, they have a reputation for being unreliable.
Interesting. We don't hear about too many problems with them.. You should let Marantz know about your problems to see if they can help at all.

I have an NR1200 stereo receiver still going strong after 3 years.
$15k for a class D amplifier 😂. Like all of their other recent products, this one is a miss.

Masimo owns Marantz.

Is it bad that the R&D is used for more affordable units? It does make them create better products at a lower price down the line.
What people refuse to believe
Is that there are so many rich people now. This money they are charging for these ...to the rich it's not much.
