Marantz needs to make a stereo amplifier and a mono amplifier version as well. Once they do that, they can easily compete against any manufacturer in the high end arena.
I'm honestly not sure why the price of amps varies so widely... I only got back into audio a couple years ago @ 30yo & all I could afford is an aiyima w/ a topping d10s (& excellent speakers I found on secondary markets... Ended up making a whole 7.2.4 HT for dirt cheap) and it blows away anything I remember back when I was a teenager.. I can't imagine how amplifiers could make my music sound much better. If I had the $ I'd be looking at speakers. I want to out together one of those DIY icehouse (or whatever they're called) amps sometime soon though.
they look like GORGEOUS Sculptures . my goodness. they ooze Quality.. the Fit & Finish is insane on these units. give me the Amp and the Streamer and i'll be the happiest man on earth. thank you for sharing.
Wow. The price makes these completely unobtainable for me, but I can appreciate the engineering and manufacturing that went into these flagship pieces. Simply stunning.
I loved the sound of my former Marantz SR6005, SR5015, MM7025 with my Focal 826W's, but both SR's ran HOT, the SR6005 could bake an egg. Meanwhile it exploded and had a bad volume control that went crazy from only a couple of weeks old. The only Marantz component that got past 8 years, is the MM7025, still working fine. I'm using the NAD M33 now with Kanta no.3's. Maybe some day I'll give a high end Marantz a try, but they better start making less expensive series as reliable and decent feeling.
Stunning ! I wonder if Model 8 / Model 9 tube amps are on the immediate horizon ? That's when I will be truly interested and it will be a HUGE success !
This seems like Marantz's answer to the Technics R1000 and the Yamaha M-5000 both of which are audiophile candy with their gorgeous level meters. The top of the M10 looks beautiful but you have to make sure it sits on top of the cabinet - it's probably a crime if you cover it and Marantz should demand of the owner that the unit's top be exposed🙂 It looks like jewelry and the difference between the gold one and the regular black chassis is the biggest I've ever seen. I have no idea why they would ever make it in anything but gold. The same can be said of all Marantz AVRs which should be sold in silver.
I'm hoping they eventually introduce a 20 series that has "trickle down" technology from the 10 series at a lower price point. There is quite a bit of room price-wise between the 10 series and the 30 series, plus a missing number just waiting to be used. 😀
@@net_newsunless you have seen the full measurements of the amp, you cannot say it is not performance based. Use a Purifi all you way, if implementation is not right, it won't be right. No you do not want to use 2 or 3 in a home theater setup that would just be a waste, Use it for a 2 channel experience but of course they want you to buy as many as you can at $15K but I thought it was $10K I was off
The point is, if you can’t afford $27,000 for the integrated amplifier and streamer, they have a really nice $1000 option in the M1 that you should consider.

Really glad to see a company take such care and pride inti quality products I always loved marantz audio
Me too. Yeah it’s expensive but so is Storm and Trinnov and nobody complains about them like they do Marantz. Weird
Marantz needs to make a stereo amplifier and a mono amplifier version as well. Once they do that, they can easily compete against any manufacturer in the high end arena.
Yeah it’s a beast and the inside is a work of art just like the outside. Really, this inside is stunning! You have to see it with the top off.
If you ever take the top off, take a photo and email it to me I’d be happy to share it michael@youthmanreviews.com

Wow this is not for everyone as the price says but that amplifier is a Audiophiles Dream
Right! They sound as good as they look.
Feel like at that price I am looking at McIntosh instead. It is beautiful though.

You’re paying for both performance and craftsmanship. These are works of art.
My Cinema 30 is front and center and staying that way. I will never hide my equipment in a rack. I like it visible especially Marantz products.
In the world of premium hifi those unit prices aren't that much of a surprise. Thank you for the upload Michael - great products made with passion
That is true. There are products much more expensive than these.
Awesome! Michael I'm jealous, stunning and beautiful 😊
Wow. I want a model 10 integrated. Beautiful equipment!
Price aside, kudos to Marantz for producing beautiful, “lifestyle” devices that perform well 👏🏾
