@@fennyferrister668 Lineage. To claim tribal status and rights, a person must be registered with one of the 574 federally recognized tribes. The "Moorish nation" isn't one of them and never has been.
It is so tedious to hear a Sovcit say "I don't understand" when they mean "I refuse to submit".
On the other hand, it was wonderful to see a judge remand a Sovcit for refusing to submit.
I’m disappointed that more haven’t figured out that when the sovcit won’t identify, you just dismiss them and issue a bench warrant for failure to appear.
The few times it’s been done they either magically appear in the moment or after they’re arrested.

I tried looking into this, since they nearly always play this game in some fashion or another and from what I found, Understand, came from Old English understanden and meant 'to stand between' as in to appreciate both sides and be able to mediate between.
I love Judge Simpson. He is very patient, and fair and really smart. He is kind of like a Saint.
They have this utterly incorrect thing with word origins. Many of them actually think by saying the word 'understand' is that they are saying they 'stand under the laws they don't agree with' admitting that the law is above them. And that is not the meaning of the word.
It comes from an Old English word that, if I recall correctly was German based...understandan.
~It meant: to stand in the midst of.
So if a group of men were discussing things in a meeting, and you were involved in a discussion and the conclusion of that meeting - you were 'there' 'understandan' standing in the midst of what was going on, and thus knowing the reasons for the meeting and any resolutions/actions that would come from it .
The word eventually became 'understand' and meaning changed to comprehend, or 'grasp the concept or idea'
Imagine going to jail for 1 week just because you couldn't be bothered to stand at the podium when told to. That'll show the Government!

He's not a ball-busting hammer Judge feared for ruthlessness, nor is he a push-over that let's court get out of control. He really judges each case in a fair, unbiased way, and he doesn't let sovcits use their ridiculous nonsense in his courtroom.

I've been watching LawTube, and SovCits, for over a year now, and somehow I missed the religious reasons for why any accountability is illegal. If there were any mention of religion (which would be inappropriate, of course) by the prosecutor or the court rather than the SovCit, said SovCit would have pleadings filed with a federal court by end of business that day. If that defendant has faith in any higher power, he should be ashamed of hiding behind his faith.

Same with when he reads the colloquies for self representation: "do you realize there are dangers in representing yourself, do you realize you could face these penalties if found guilty, do you realize the court will appoint you a lawyer free of charge" etc. He needs them to acknowledge that so they can't appeal like "I'm too poor to have a lawyer. If only I had one to tell me not to be such a dumbass, I wouldn't have acted so stupid". He's patiently covering bases, so he can totally shut them down.

@@mrjones2721 The issue is that a judge generally cannot force a defendant to accept a lawyer unless the defendant is determined by a psychiatric professional (or by the judge, though most judges defer to evaluations to make sure all the proper items are on the record so there's no chance of it being overturned on appeal) to be incompetent to stand trial - the ONE (and likely only) thing SovCits do get right is that there is an absolute Constitutional right to represent oneself so long as the waiver of counsel is done knowingly and willingly - the Supreme Court in 1975 determined that the 6th Amendment not only provides the right to counsel, it also provides the right to refuse counsel. It's stupid and is pretty sure to lead to a stint in the Grey Bar Hotel, but it is allowed and a protected right. In some states they do allow a lawyer to be appointed even if the defendant does not accept one, HOWEVER, the attorney is only appointed as standby counsel, available to advise the defendant but cannot argue for the defendant or be held liable for ineffective assistance of counsel, but looking through the Michigan Court Rules, I don't see that they have the ability to appoint such standby counsel except in juvenile cases.

All has to be in the rules of the court. If such things as an evaluation needs to be done then the case cannot continue until that's completed. Once he's found competent the court can continue with the case and there will be no comeback on any appeal for him saying he didn't understand as it will be recorded that he was competent.
As far as behavior is concerned, it's an ego thing, coupled with performative inflation of self worth. A person stands before a judge, they're not only being judged legally, but intellectually, they tend not to shine. It's humbling, if not humiliating. A person who's entitled/spoiled in his formative years is far more likely to be a sov-cit. Usually it's guys whose mothers cheered like mental patients when their kid cleaned his own room or got an A in a test. The sov-script allows the spoiled adult reciting it to utter complexities in court while waxing defiant. It's a weak man's power play. They make noises that imitate a contemptuous defiance of the legal process, but it's pure gibberish that only ever results in humiliation, wasted time & far more punitive prosecution. The mystery remains, tho - why are they the only ones who can't spot the counterfeit? Is their emotional need THAT strong?

@@nsahandler It works, though rarely, with some of the lazier officers. I've seen at least two instances where officers let an uninsured driver drive away. If an officer is mentally slow, you can trick them into compromising by using fast negotiations. "Ok I'll consider taking the warning since it's the only thing that'll keep me from getting towed, but I want it off my record when I bring in proof of my insurance tomorrow"...meanwhile no warning was offered. Saw an Australian cop fall for that one. I think about that cop once in a while with concern.

As for the second SovCit, The FIRST and really only definition of the word, "understand" is "perceive the intended meaning". SovCits think they are so clever when the don't recognize the simple english word "Understand". But it is also a great tell that they are SovCits.
