  • The Aipa Big Brother Sting Longboard in HD Fusion longboard is the most advanced piece of surfing equipment I have ever surfed on. It is literally a one board quiver. Especially for older and heavier guys who still want to shred.
If you need help carrying such a huge board, you can get "The Claw" on Ebay, made in australia.

Surfing east coast USA, shop set up with 2+1 neutral set up and i love the board, how much will the Aipa Horseman Quad change the boards feel, speed and recommended conditions? By the way the board was shaped by Duke Aipa 9' so construction is a little different than yours. Thank you

I got the 9'6" version. The board is a wave catcher. Running a 2+1 set up. Good for mushy, small days.

Can’t decide between big boy and big brother. I’m a 40 year old 205 lb (not including a 5/4) intermediate, surfing a mushy New England point twice a month at best that occasionally pitches during a proper nor’easter in winter. I can catch waves and rip on my 6’8” 53L modern highline but when it’s crowded long boarders get all the waves early. I have a 9 ft foam that gets me in early but moved on from that. Does the big boy have enough paddle to get in where long boarders take off or should I go with a long board? I prefer the skate feel of surfing though… thanks!

if you are surfing a 6'8" 53 liter board, you can easily shred on the 7'8" big boy and will get you into waves early. The big brother also shreds. It will longboard and when the wave has a little power, you can shred some turns and go vertical if you stomp on the tail. They're both great.

Hey Shreeding Hippie! Im 6' 3" 270, winter surrfing with a 4/3. I just found a 10' big brother sting HD construction on marketplace for a unreal price. My question, do you think the 10' will translate to my size and weight like the 9' 0" did for you? Wondering would I be able to get the performance you are getting out of the 10' - crank some cutties, hit the lip, do some floaters?

I don't know how the 10 footer will surf for you. You can be sure though that it is looser than any other 10 foot board

what quad set up do you use on Big Brother Sting? I know on the Big Boy Sting you use MR Twins with small performer rears.
