Arcane Flame - Acrylic Pouring Paint Kiss Fire Technique - Easy Pour Painting

- In this Video i show you how to create a beautiful Fire / Flame with the Acrylic Pouring Paint Kiss Technique. Fluid Art is an art form that even beginners can learn very easily and have a lot of fun with.

THE PREPARATION:
First of all you have to mix your paints, of course. You can find my recipe for the paints in this video further down in the description. For the flame I wanted to have at least 3 shades in the picture, if possible more. Therefore I decided to use 2 shades of red, one orange and one yellow. These are mixed and then stacked on top of each other in a larger cup. The cup is held at an angle so that the colours do not mix and run out one after the other. To get the flame effect, you have to work from dark to light, so first the red colours, then orange and at the top there is yellow.
Then you mix a 2nd cup with black paint. You will need more of this, because you have to prime the canvas with black paint before you pour over it.
MIXTURE OF PAINT:
30% Paint
50% Pouring Medium (Artist Junior - Vinyl Adhesive)
20% Distilled Water
THE POURING PROCESS:
After you have completely covered the canvas with black paint, you take your two big cups and put them together. Now you tilt them out at the same time so that the colours of the two cups merge.
It looks as if the colours are kissing, that's where the name of this technique comes from :) Now you slowly move both cups over your canvas at the same time. At the beginning you have to stay a little bit longer at one spot, because we need more paint for the flame there and the motive should be wider than at the end. For the mica effect you see at the end you have to hold the cup with fire colours over the cup with black colour. This will create the "threads" you can see in my video.
This Technique is the result of many "tilt and try" and originaly inspired by the Feather Paintings of Olga Soby from "Smart Art Materials & Techniques".

Woooow! Can I ask you said for mica affect hold flame Cup over black but the flame Cup is under? Also what size canvas did you use? Paints? And how do you know how much paint to use without wasting? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks.
oh thats a mispell, ill change that :) I use a german brand called "Lukas Künstlerfarben". Canvas was 30x24 cm :) I measure the amount of paint by the number of cups i have. This is pure experience over time :)

Danke dir :) Schwer zu sagen, das war ja eigentlich nicht so geplant. Ursprünglich sollte das mal eine Feder werden. Wichtig ist denke ich, dass das Kissen entsprechend dick ist, damit man die Fäden bekommt. Geschwenkt wurde das Bild nämlich nicht, das streckt sich quasi von alleine :)
@@IAMOYO Aha OK... vielleicht hilft dir das: wenn es eine Feder werden soll muss die schwarze (!) Farbe führen (nicht umgekehrt)... also deine Becher darfst du versetzen...😊 Viel Erfolg und weiterhin viel Spaß...
What is artist junior - vinyl adhesive? Never heard of that PM...
hi @krittenhs it think its comparable with Elmers Glue. Its a Vinyl Glue you can buy in Germany and the UK. Its very cheap and super nice to work with :)
Wont that crack theres alot of paint on there
i neved hat problems with cracks with my mixtures of water, paint and glue :)
