Those drop riffles work better than any other type of sluice bed that I have ever used. They somehow manage to nearly get it all! I wish that I would have been introduced to them a long time ago. After 3 years of using them, there is no turning back to any other current designs available. They are one of the best kept secrets out there for hobbiest prospectors due to their price, ease of use and ability to hike great distances. Not needing a gas pump, gas, oil, heavy hoses to tag along makes a big difference. I don't have any financial stakes in their production or sales, so I can honestly speak from 30+ years of prospecting. Don't buy one if you don't believe me.

Did you ever try sinking your sluice beneath the surface of the stream and just shoveling into it from the stream bed where there would be a low pressure zone?
