  • I fixed the Remote Control for my 2009 Malibu by improving the conductivity of the buttons when they touch the circuit board. Take a look at how I did it ... solution will likely work for many kinds of cars/remotes.

OMG!!! I can't tell you how I jumped for joy when this worked. Saved me $145+tax!!!! I used a tiny piece of foil and doubled sided tape in each slot.
    Thank you so much!!!

Damn! I was skeptical, but this worked!
Only the "PANIC" horn button worked, so I tried 15 different reprogramming techniques and a new battery, and no change. Then I tried this fix on all the buttons that didn't work, and presto! It works better than ever.
    Thanks, man!

It works!! I used duct tape then a few dots of aluminum foil just to boost it. Used same hole punch as you. Awesome!!! Thanks so much for this fix.

Thanks for the video! I found using a soft toothbrush to clean the contacts works well also, although it may very well be temporary

I can't wait to try this. I've looked at my circuit board extensively and can't find any flaws. I licked the battery - yup! That works! Haha. This must be the only thing left.

Didn't work for me. Lock button worked, horn worked but won't unlock same as before, must be the circuitry. Darn it
