Interesting that I think I can explain _some_ of this simply, using Computer Science.
A Quartanary Bit _could_ be represented using a single Binary Bit; there are the two currently know possibilities '0' and '1', but there are also TWO more _hidden_ Bits.
Prior to setting the Bit Register to it's current state it held a value of '0' or '1', the _mechanism_ that sets the Register can record that value and set the Register to it's current state, an additional Bit is available, what the next Value will be (an unknown).
Unlike Quantum Mechanics the Bits do not have a _communication_ Path with each other unless instead of setting the Register you XOR the Register, thus PARTIALLY preserving the prior value (and partly being _confused_ about the _Current_ Value, as it has been effected (XOR'd) with the prior Value), and similarly the FUTURE Value can be either Set or XOR'd thus either partially preserving (and communicating the past Value) or only holding the _TRUE_ (non-historically effected) current Value.
A means to _wire_ those three Bits together so they act in a like manner to what is described in the being of the Video is beyond _my_ ability to explain.

i am a novice in optics, this is like Greek and Latin to me.
