I love KOF but it is a shame to see characters as legendaries as Ryo and Terry doing almost nothing in the main plot.
Terry is OK (no pun intended) at least he is like the cool uncle/big brother for the KOF roster

Agreed to that! And now I realize how I feel old... Because we know those characters since our childhood whilst a character like Terry is just being in the spotlight thanks to Smash bros...

Ryo and the rest of aof team was suppose to be a secondary hero team in a cancelled story line about the flying brigands after the nest saga.

Hi, I’m ironmugen. I made this Mugen fan game all alone (just few Sff picks around). If I had the patience and the time, I would have done more art of fighting characters for this game, and not just John Crawley.

Hi I’m Ironmugen. Since Yuri likes to copy moves - she copies Akuma’s Shungokusatsu in KOF - I wanted to make a joke out of it and make her copy an art of fighting boss move.

This would be the only canon crossover since AOF and FF are in the same continuity and KOF is an alternate continuity.

Amazing Mugen, it's like looking at an alternate timeline in which KoF never happened and instead this was SNK's crossover game
Well actually KOF is actually an alternate universe for SNK. Cuz AOF and FF are canon. The FF timeline goes like this:
AOF 1-3
FF
FF2
FF3
RB:FF
MOTW
That’s it.
RB2 and other FF games are just dream match games. Except FF: Wild Ambition. Cuz that is actually a remake of FF1. So technically that is canon but more of a extended version of FF1.
KOF was originally supposed to be a dream match game but it’s confirmed by SNK to be an alternate universe. Cuz the canon of AOF and FF are not within the KOF timeline. Plus the AOF and FF characters in KOF are a bit different from their original counterparts. And things are different with them in each different canon.

Its the anime move Senpuuken, which is basically Tung's Lariat without the steroids

It would be nice to see Rock and Butt since are both students of the main protagonist
Garou is still part of the Fatal Fury series of games, and follows the FF storyline. Geese is dead, and Kain is looking to fill in Geese's old spot.
Also, since Rock and Marco Rodriguez/Knushwood Butt (different name between JP and US releases) are mentioned, Kim Dong Hwan + Kim Jae Hoon (Kim Kaphwan's sons) would also make sense, as well as Hokutomaru (Shiranui martial arts practitioner; I think he was at least a student of Andy).
Definitely will check this game out!

Chonshu and Chonrei are planned to be in the sequel as bosses.
Laurent is like a signature character : he represents my brother.
