    I don't know what's more beautiful. The mini, or how effortlessly you seemed to paint it. Just at face value, this technique seems right up my alley.
    Personally, I'd go with a more pale blue for the body, to differentiate it from the joints and the carapace. The claws could probably also use something to stand out a bit, but I'm not sure what I'd want to do with them off the top of my head.

      Thanks! I agree with your thoughts. I'm going to revisit this scheme soon and test out a few things. Hopefully I can polish it up!

      @@MattsHobbyHour have a question, I'm painting my psychophage and was wondering if you'd paint the fleshy bit on the back a different colour?

      @@nixxy1983 that's a good question! I'm not sure. I might try blending some Magos Purple near the end of the tail, similar to how I did on my Hive Fleet Kraken video. I think it might require some planning/lore based on their environment. Do you have any ideas?

    Thanks for your well explained techniques. I'm newer to the hobby, and seeing how you've used contrast paints in this and your Death Guard videos has been helpful. I'm looking forward to future videos.

    These guides are absolutely spectacular. As a somewhat new painter your videos have helped me immensely. Are you planning on releasing any other Tyranid schemes? I've just ordered my first 'Nid box and set my sights on the Typhon scheme, would love to see your take on it.

    I thought that the apoth white and the aether blue was an excellent color for the skin and would have made for an excellent contrast against the blue

      @MattsHobbyHour  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks! Yeah maybe I should have just left the skin at the first stage and skipped the blue shade. good idea!

    I like the overall choice of blue and the scheme does seem fast. It's a little too monochrome for how I would paint my armies. However, I like your idea of having a darker accent color to break things up a bit more along with white highlights on the skin. I feel like the face and rhino horn on his nose would benefit from being brighter or having an accent color to draw the eye. Overall, it's a very unique paint scheme and I really liked the ice details on the claws and carapace. Might even be able to amp up the ice effect? Thanks for the video Mr. Matt. Very entertaining as always.

    Nicely done love the look of the carapace . Been working on ice themed nids as well using pylar glacier for the flesh, white carapace. I wonder how pylar would look with this to complement the dark carapace and make the luxion purple pop out more .

    Love this scheme, how would you paint the brain of a neurotyrant in this scheme?

    • @MattsHobbyHour
      @MattsHobbyHour  2 месяца назад

      The scheme really lacks a dark value, so I'd probably lean towards a really dark blue or purple. What do you think? Thanks for watching!
