I grew up in Newport. 10 years in Nye Beach, 5 years in South Beach. It's a magical place. It is kinda expensive. Newport's housing market is similar to Portland. Newport is better than Lincoln City IMHO. Newport has a better: geographic layout, walk-ability, two lighthouses, a spectacular bridge, centralized city-center, aquarium, marine science center (that is a branch of OSU), NOAA, a better seafood industry... Lincoln City is really long and stretches on and on (the summer traffic!) breaking up any chance for a good city hub. This is due to the fact that LC is actually 5 smaller communities that joined and became LC in the 60s. Fun vid. Nice recap.

Is this true? Also, what's the average age in Newport and how does healthcare for seniors compare to Florence? Thank you.
Awesome - thanks for watching! A lot of our previous “vlog style” videos were done with a DSLR camera and this was done with a GoPro. Median age in Newport is around 45. Both Florence and Newport have hospitals, but in both areas you may have to go to Corvallis or Eugene for some services. Not sure if one is better in that regard.
How about rentals in the 1500 a month range that aren't apartments?😬 We are moving back soon and are thinking about living in our travel trailer. While rather large its not big enough for our small family long term. I know youre in the business of selling homes but never a bad idea to ask or network with those in the housing realm. My wife cleans houses and I have a landscape business so if you need help in that regard reach out to us! We want to make our dream a reality after a failed attempt during covid.
I wish we had special access to rental opportunities to provide for folks. It's really just going to be the standard stuff... Craig's List, Zillow, etc... Depending on what you need, $1500 should at least be possible though. May not be on the beach, etc. Always helpful to meet providers of housing related services. How about port orford and gold beach that's were I'm thinking about moving to in the next year or so
