Hello all, apologies for uploading this video a second time, but I'm trying something out as the original version was demonetised thanks to the lovely people at FOX. They've staked their claim on the movie footage that I was using under "Fair Use" to illustrate and put into context what I'd built in this instalment. So, you can now see two versions!

Dont worry, people are partition to fire Susan Wojokaki (idk how how spell it) from CEO of RUclips, copyright WILL be fixed eventually. I like the model and it is nice to something other than a TARDIS or Police Box, (as much as I like them). Any chance you might attempt the mothership from Close Encounters?

Yeah, I'm not worried. Having both versions up have just proved my point; RUclips does avoid recommending videos with a strike on them and I can understand why - there's nothing in it for them in terms of ad revenue. This version however IS being recommended. I'll let the pair run and see how they compare over the weeks and months.
Well, I'm glad that you like the model and it gives me the chance to do something other than TARDISes - as much as they are my favourite element from the show, though I have grown somewhat tired of doing them. There are other things I'd like to do, I did look at the ship that you mentioned, but decent reference for it is hard to come by, but the other issue with large projects like this is where to store them once done. This is something I'm looking into for future builds. For now though, smaller stuff is the order of the day.

@@PBProps Yeah, Tardises can get a bit tedious, doesnt matter how you make them, hand made or computer generated. I have heard plans and references are very scarce for the mothership, my dad is currently attempting to build it from random parts you find around the house, its about 95% complete, there is a little wiring to do for lights an then it's done, you can find it on Facebook, I'll send you link to the group if I can.
If you want something smaller, but still detailed, why not try something similar to Chernobyl, I've seen a few models of the actual site but never something inspired.

I think I'm going to try a few experimental videos to test out what may or may not be popular to work out if there's some kind of pattern to it. At the moment, it's an uphill struggle to find a wider audience. The reach just isn't there right now. Maybe I'm just that boring. Who knows?

@@PBProps That's fair, it's difficult to find the right audience, and no way are you boring, I've researched your building the 8th doctord tardis over and over again. Your great

Fascinating stuff ...the genesis of a model.

Thanks again. I'll have to try and do more stuff like this.

Great work! That gadget in the Cantina is a 'Droid detector - which is why Wuher, the barman, shouts at Luke. 'Droids are not allowed in the Cantina, as some give off ultrasonic interference, which can be heard by some alien races, like the Gotal and H'Nemthians , and is irritating and blocks their telepathic abilities. Or so I've been told.

That's interesting, I didn't know that. Thanks for the information. Who'd have thought that a bit of set dressing would have been given so much thought.

@@PBProps - The action figure of Wuher, the barman, came with a Droid Detector accessory.

Wow, I didn't know they even did a figure of Wuher. I have a bag load of the original 1970's figures - I'll have to dig that out when I next go to my folks' place and see what I do have.

This is great, I'd love to see some dioramas for the 5" doctor who range. Like the unit lab or some sort of alien base, I'm sure it would look awesome!

Thanks. I've always thought about the various dioramas that I could do and actually started one, then abandoned it. I should do something about that really.

It is. Pity that it's a bit hit and miss with no sense of discretion. But that's what you get with automated function.
