We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for you are doing really great job, i always return to this clip
Wow! What a novel way to present a 'story' in song, music and graphic drawing/erasing on whiteboard for a good cause. Simple, yet very effective. Great effort people!
I've seen other renditions, but keep coming back to 3xperience this troupe's soulful version. Reminds me of my 1960's high school idealism, where (all boys school) we prevailed on school administration to allow us to run school dances, mixed gender, to garner more resources to help the underprivileged in our society. Win-Win, FUN plus FUNding for a great cause. Encore!

I was searching this song to watch again because it is one of favorites and ran across this and wow. Just wow. chills all over. AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!!!!!
Her name is Catherine Kennedy and I believe some of her music can be found on RUclips and Spotify. When we were making the arrangement for this song we knew right away that she was the perfect choice to be our singer :)
@@JamieHammerDK Unfortunately due to the camera quality you can't see what is on the whiteboard at all, but essentially each of us were drawing a piece of a house as we entered the stage and then the singer erased it all at the end.
@@rachelmoore5210 what a rude reply to a viewer clearly of another country and language. I was going to leave a nice comment for the arrangement and performance of this piece, and I stumble upon this from the producer herself. "What?" -- rude.
Unfortunately this video isn't the best quality especially for sound. The singing was the only thing that was properly mic'd. Just a school project for second year music undergrads, we did our best at the time :)

Love your team's version.

Yes absolutely amazing
No words can describe how heavenly this cover is. They gave their all.
I would have loved to say something profound but alas - I'm lost for words. Simply stunningly beautiful.

Your voice is incredible
Rock139 I'm on violin and was one of the arrangers! All the beautiful singing credit goes to Catherine Kennedy :)
What an incredible arrangement. Bravo
Whoever sang, those falsetto phrases were spectacular.
I love the flute. It just adds so much to the arrangement and brings out the juxtaposition of innocence and death
Very pretty. Her voice is incredible, and all the musicians played very well.
beautiful!
lyrics To Build a Home (The Cinematic Orchestra)
There is a house built out of stone
Wooden floors, walls and window sills
Tables and chairs worn by all of the dust
This is a place where I don't feel alone
This is a place where I feel at home
'Cause, I built a home
For you
For me
Until it disappeared
From me
From you
And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust
Out in the garden where we planted the seeds
There is a tree as old as me
Branches were sewn by the color of green
Ground had arose and passed it's knees
By the cracks of the skin I climbed to the top
I climbed the tree to see the world
When the gusts came around to blow me down
I held on as tightly as you held onto me
I held on as tightly as you held onto me
And, I built a home
For you
For me
Until it disappeared
From me
From you
And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust

What was on the bulletin board? Nicely done!
As we came onto the stage each of us drew different sections of a house, and then the singer erased the whole drawing at the end

Sjush fluit, power probeerslag. What kind met die witbord?
What?
He's not a fan of the flute and asks about the whiteboard, propably refering to the writing on it.

You all better have gotten a fucking A!!!!
LOL we sure as hell did!
The gain on the ending bell is too high
Perfect minus the flute
Its the mikes and accoustics fr the floor..it affected how sharp it was..
But pretty astounding nonetheless!!
