Thank you for the video! I am taking the class in August and cannot wait I also appreciate what you said at the end about getting a mentor my loctician is my mentor and I am so happy! And I've been looking at those earrings all video.
Thank you, Solange 🥺 I really appreciate that! Soo, I would look on the Sisterlocks website to find names of trained consultants then cross reference it with their social media to see if you like their work, personality, etc.
Hi, Meemee! You don’t need one, my OPINION is it’s great to have one after taking the class because it’s a lot of information given in a short amount of time without any follow up. People who don’t have mentors take twice as long to get certified and usually don’t do as neat of work. Just my opinion once again.
@@locsbykayla Thank you for the response. I believe in your opinion because everyone is saying the same thing. I just wanted more info to help me justify paying $100’s more for a mentor.
@@MeeMeesArtyParty I had one and was certified in 6 months. Others in my area haven’t and still haven’t been certified. it’s been 5 years since I took the class and not one trainee since that time has been certified. Just a little perspective. You can still make money as a trainee but you will make a lot more if you become certified
Hi Kayla, what are your thoughts on the sisterlock count/number? I have had my sister locks for a month. I have high density hair but a small head lol. I only have 288 locs. Is this normal?
Hi, Ashley Great question! You can have between 200-800 locks to be considered Sisterlocks soo I never count the number. For me it’s more about it the person who did them is Certified, if they used the Sisterlocks tool to install them and if you have the proper grid.

Dope and quality content. I’m considering becoming a sister lock consultant, I’m also in school for a cosmetology. Just subscribed!
Yes. Fanta is absolutely AMAZING!!! She used to be a Sisterlocks ™︎ Consultant.
I think I saw that somewhere as well. She hasn’t disclosed why she stopped being one but, I love and support her work regardless🥰
I think she was coming up with her own techniques. She is bomb!
@@lisawillis4881 Yes, she has created Tinylocs
Thank you for this information. I am documenting my journey on RUclips and I am also a Sisterlocks Trainee. Thanks for sharing!!
"Kay-liens" or "K-liens" is a cute name for your followers ❤
Omg, I LOVE that!!!! ✨ thank you, Lisa ☺️
Thank you for sharing. You are a wealth of information! How does one find a mentor?

Curious, why do Sisterlocks trainees need a mentor even after paying $1500 for a training class? I’ve just finished the trainee class.
