I'm a foster mom to three children that I have severe PDSD on top of other things and it has been chaos I'm a new foster mom so I've only been doing it for about a year with foster children other than my nephew I've had my nephew for 3 years now we're going through the adoption process but long story short I started taking these classes so that I could become a better mom and calm down the chaos I have to tell you that your lessons are godsent ever since I started watching your videos and doing these classes My house is gone from chaos to come lots of love lots of fun and a lot less stress on my side I love the phrase I love you too much to argue it has made a huge impact and then on top of that letting them know that I trust them enough to do what they need to do and that I'm not going to fight with them has shown them that I believe in them and that they're very capable of doing what they need too....

Thank you for video. I have a 4 years old who just started school and oh boy we started to picking up on some tantrum and yelling. Anyways I definitely have more confidence in handling the situation. And I will order the book asap. Thank you!

We usually use timeouts but I am going to give this a try instead. It sounds like it will put her back in the driving seat of her behavior instead of the timer.

@ppisak Do you have the book Love and Logic Magic for Early Childhood? If so, page 75 explains that "...behavior usually starts to fade out rather rapidly-as long as parents don't interact with a child while he or she is in the room. The best way to make this technique backfire is to use too many words." Please call us at 800-338-4065 if you have additional questions.

I am very impressed as to how love and logic works! I have a 28 month old which I do use the uh-oh song, but she does call to me when she is in time out and I tell her, 'you can come out when you're nice and sweet' or she will whimper here and there for her 2 minutes after she has cried.....is it alright that I talk to her while she is in her room and tell her 'you can come out when you are nice and sweet for two minutes' or am I not to talk to her at all? Thanks

Is the uh oh song meant for age 2 and up? I have gotten different parenting books saying different things about “time outs” aka what the uh oh song is

The uh-oh song is meant for kids small enough to transport safely. It is all about changing their location to solve a problem & very different from time out. i you call 800.338.4065, a real person will answer and help clarify.

Love and logic is about as much of a joke as 1-2-3 magic. I've tried them all..
