I was going with Switzerland or Liechtenstein (both in the Alps)...Andorra didn’t cross my mind.
Switzerland has no capital. Bern is only acting as one.
Also, Bern is lower below the peaks of the alps, as are Vaduz and Vienna
Andorra is literally wholly placed inside the Pyrenées, tho. It was kinda obvious.
I sure miss Alex Trebek‘s mimicking accents and sense of humour. This was before the pandemic
Got it! Will miss you Alex
RIP Mr. Trebek.
Took me a while but got this one before the buzzer
I guessed Andorra because it's between France and Spain in the Mountains.
Nailed it!
She's smart enough to get on Jeopardy and she thought Berlin is the highest capital city in Europe?
Liechtenstein is not a bad guess, but Vaduz is only about 1500 feet up.
I was pretty sure of Andorra 🇦🇩 because of its location completely in the Pyrenees.
I thought it would be San Marino. Whoops.
So did I. Andorra occurred to me as a possibility, but I thought San Marino, built on a mountaintop, would be higher. I guess not.
Yeah i got it right - but i have been to that country so it helps.
Anyone who just watched the 2021 Tour de France (specifically stage 15), should have gotten Andorra easily!
Spoiler alert!
I guessed Andorra La Vella. Dunno if i wouldve gotten it right.
I guess Andorra
0:50
I got this one!
Didn't they all used to be feudal states?
Easy: Andorra because of the Alps. But most people forget about Andorra and Tuvalu until the Olympics come along.
Because of the what?
Andorra is in the Pyrenees
Whew. That was tough
Man I loved Final Jeopardy! back in the day when the host didn't give five second explanations of the correct response, even on triple stumpers. Alex did not need to do that.
All he said was "in the mountains"
@@daynereese3888 That's what I mean. Guest hosts now have to give these long explanations. Alex didn't do that and that's what I like.
@@keithhosannah3022 What's wrong with that? Why do you prefer a *_lack_* of information or explanation? One would think that a fan of a trivia show would have a thirst for knowledge.
@@Milesco Throughout the guest host era, all the hosts would give us these long explanations, as if they were trying to "show off". This looked too fake and contrived. Final Jeopardy! is not about the host giving tidbits that last 5 seconds. During Alex's era, the camera would never pan to him during Final Jeopardy! unless there was a triple stumper (or a special or unusual moment like the GOAT tournament). If Alex gave any kind of explanation, it would be short. On some occasions, he would give a little comment/clue for the audience before the contestants' final responses were revealed. I really loved the "mystery aspect" of the final round and I think it's being lost.
Back when Final Jeopardy questions were legitimately tough!
My guess for that particular Final Jeopardy Clue presumably would have been 1 of the following 5.
1: Andorra
2: Albania
3: Lichtenstein
4: Germany
5: San Marino
Why do you do this? Why in the hell would you guess Germany over San Marino? Germany a feudal state?? What?
@@tugboat2030 also Berlin is nowhere near any mountains
Andorra still wouldn't have been correct, though. France is the correct answer.
@@tugboat2030 Yeah Germany did not even exist in feudal times!
Andorra is not a city
