I am 65 years old and have been wearing a natural since 7th grade. I have been using lusters S curl no drip activator moisturizer for years on my natural and NOTHING else. I used the gel, but prefer the spray. Walmart, dollar general, family dollar all sell it! The moisture helps to grow natural hair, because African American natural hair NEEDS moisture. Love the way my natural look and feel!!!

When I first cut off my perm and became natural, there were no products available for women like there are now. I was 19 at the time and everyone was still weaving and perming. Texturizers and jerhi juice will never go out of style they would make a serious come back if they take out the harsh ingredients. I love her energy 👑

I use the " Luster's S curl no drip Activator Moisturizer" on my 4c afro and my hair be so soft and detangled. Sometimes those old school products be working magic on natural hair.

@@sarsbrooks4813 not everyone uses grease. I actually found out as an adult that hair grease was smothering my hair. Once i stopped using grease my hair started growing. I do however use moisturizers

My husband told me to get curl activator and I side eyed the mess out of him. "I don't have a damn jheri curl" but ma'am your review has me convinced he is right and now I have to test this for myself. I'll give him props if it works for me😂😂
I am relaxed. I tried this as a recommendation from another relaxed youtuber. It moisturizes SO well. I have the spray kind, in the blue and white bottle.
People have misunderstood what Jeri curl you have put perm in your hair then add this gel after the perm but that’s one of the first products for natural hair

I understand where you are coming from, when I was in middle school, I'm 35 years old now, but my grandmother had me wearing my natural hair, I had what is considered spiral curls. She would use the curl activator to keep my curls in place and moisturized, however I was bullied so terrible for it that I would not spray my hair leading to it breaking off. A girl actually spat mucus in my hair as I was asleep on the bus to mimic my curl products.
This product is actually an ole school product utilized back in the day for Scurls.

I've been using Luster's S Curl No Drip Curl Activator Moisturizer for over 10 years. The products are not meant to hold anything. They are formulated to attract moisture to the hair, hense the Glycerin. As we know, moisture is a MUST for our hair. Also, the "No Drip" product will help to detangle the hair like a dream with minimum breakage/fallout. TFS
TashasCraftCorner so we can use it as a basic moisturizer? In between wash and gos my hair tends to dry up. I use water to bring it back to life, but wondering if a little activator would also help
I've been using s curl moisturizer for years also
Water should not be used as a moisturizer externally. When you put water on your body you have to use lotion to get rid of the dryness. Same goes for your hair it will dry your hair out that's why some of us need hair milk or some type of glycerin. I did a porosity test to help find what works for my hair.

Sheena Dixon so what should we use. My hair tends to get dry when I wash it. I alternate between using Shea butter or Shea moisture style and curl milk right out of the shower, on damp hair... but I notice that it makes my hair feel like it’s not moisturized once it’s fully dry. I don’t have a fro, I’m a male with a fade. I’m just trying to figure out how to keep my hair/scalp moisturized everyday.
