lets summarize so you can correct:
1- sit comfortably join your hands fingers crossed and thumbs touching.
2- put your attention on your breath for 15sec
3- inhale then exhale completely with your nose. you feel a tension from navel to your throat.
4- hold as long as you can without pushing
5- inhale again, and exhale from nose 6 more times (7 in total).
6- on 8th turn you exhale from mouth.
7- the longer you hold the breath the better the benefits but let it grow slowly by practicing at least for a week.
8- share benefits felt in comments - thanks!
Thank you for summarizing

Namaste from Mauritius
Bahariya kumbhak really helps to slow down the restless mind; also brings down the heart rate.
At first it increases the heart rate because body is not used to the pause between exhaling and inhaling; later the heart becomes more efficient and hence the heart rate goes down
You are really a magical yoga master

Second round ...mouth exhale also 7 times ???
Thanks for another technique
yes, He didnt mention any about that
funny thing - I always felt that the break after exhalation is more important then Kumbhaka,I don't know why, maybe it is due to its cleansing qualities, but it goes beyond that. one important note though - never stop/hold your breath. what you do is to suspend/extend your breath, which might look or even feel like holding, but the important difference is, there is still some motion. no motion, no prana. no awareness of the motion - less prana.
Can you elaborate more on this?
@@saurabh8880 hmm, elaborate on what exactly? suspension of the breath in general or suspension after the exhalation?
I will touch on both briefly.
thing of a breath as a wave breaking upon the shore. it looks as if it stops before going back, but if you look closely enough, it is not the case. movement never stops.the momentum is never zero. Hold is zero.
now, why exhalation?
inhalation means expansion, going out, gaining energy. Exhalation means contraction, going in, going deep within yourself. Just try it and than you will understand. 10 breathing cycles with exhalation as deep as you can master, prolonged suspension on exhalation and then you will know what I'm talking about, then you will get as close to death as possible in a controlled way and as close to your true self as well.
one final though. Pranayama Sadhana is not about breathing exercises, or any exercises for that matter. there are the tools, powerful tools and they should be used, but not the main thing. Your awareness, observation, reflection is.
@@borisnahalka3027bro words seeming very interesting explain me in short my age is 17
There are definitely benefits to both inhale and exhale breath holds. Please educate yourself about the breath before saying words like "never" 👍🏼
@@borisnahalka3027I think you mean “prolonged suspension on inhalation” ?
