Hopefully the work Inland did stays done. A couple years ago I bought an RV from someone that religiously had them do all his work and had paid through the nose for it. I'm a retired fifty year mechanic with more certs than I can carry. The work they did was either wrong, sloppy, missing parts, never done or just totally incorrect. I've seen the receipts from the work they had done and have had to re-do all of their work. Stupid stuff - I crossed five states to initially see the vehicle. I knew it had a few issues but also knew they wouldn't be big deals. #1 - the engine didn't want to start, grunt, grunt, drag and just about the time you thought it would quit spinning it would finally start. He showed me the receipts for batteries, cables, etc. I had him take it back in to check it again and he showed me the receipt where they said the starter was O.K. It wasn't. When I got home I tossed a new starter on it and now it's fine. They replaced every single part in the front suspension with expensive parts to cure sloppy handling but never addressed the true issue in the rear suspension. Same with electronic engine controls, receipts for multiple replacements of the same parts and different parts (a.k.a. 'shot-gunning' a repair when you don't know what you're doing) costing him thousands of dollars, fixed in twenty minutes by repairing a loose connection at a sensor that had been caused by rough handling. But the customer still thinks they hung the moon...
Carl that’s a lot to go thru. Good thing you are so talented and were able to fix it all. We are really at the mercy of whatever tech works on our Coach. Thanks for sharing. 💕Zack & Linda
Appreciate your post. So far that has not been an issue on our CAT C13. We had our unit in service for 3 months for various repairs the major one being 3 AC/HP's and reattaching the roof. We had rivets come loose and repair facility found inside ceiling panels molded due to AC condensate drain tubes stopping up. Lots of repair required. Other repair's also. That is not uncommon in a 18 year old unit. Love your Prevost. We love our Wanderlodge. Thanks for your videos.
So good hearing from you! You guys are dealing with a lot too. That’s how this goes.. one day at a time. Hope you get fixed quickly and we can meet you out exploring!!💕Zack & Linda
Glad to see you are seeing some lights at the end of the tunnel and it’s not a train😊 We spent the night in ours this past Sunday forth first time in over 6 months. It felt so good. We have been in the shop @ Nasheville Prevost and @ Nasheville Coach all week getting things in order. We are making our way to Florida😊 See you guys soon❤
Jason that’s so exciting!! You guys sure have been thru a lot and we have felt you pain! Can’t wait to meet you guys in West Palm!! God’s blessings to you all! Your family is precious!💕Zack & Linda
Thanks for the video great nice to know information. I could do this work my self but know what you have stated on your video makes me understand the issues, and yes I can could do this myself. Love your motorhome we are first time owner ourselves . So many things to learn about and understand as well. God be with you and your lovely wife on your trips. Please keep the videos coming.
Jeff it’s so good hearing from you!! You are super talented to have these kind of repair skills. We are learning each step and can’t wait to get back on the road, hopefully this week to Florida!! Thanks for watching and God’s blessings 💕Zack & Linda
So good hearing from you Tim!! Thanks for watching! We are being realistic with maintenance so all understand what it takes to keep a Prevost going. We do love it and you will likely love a Prevost too. Happy adventures 💕Zack & Linda
I hear that loud pop when using my slides on my Prevost. I have asked about it and was told to never grease these holes so I have not done anything. After viewing your video I immediately ordered both products and will use them. I understand with the silicone base that you will not get dirt or sand in the holes which I was warned against but even with that advice I will make sure they are clean and lubed with the silicone base product. Hopefully this will do away with the loud pop. Thanks for the advice.
Gerald it’s so good to hear from you. We had never heard of this before either. We will be doing the same. We appreciate you watching and letting us know. 💕Zack & Linda
Nice real world experience video. it is unfortunate the difficulties you have run into but having older equipment can sometimes be a challenge. Traveled for decades in yachts that were older and always something to fix. Got very tiresome so when we changed to a motor coach, we refused to go used and bought new. Not a Prevost but still new. Worked through some initial warranty issues and so far so go. Hopefully, you will be back on the road soon.
Clay so good hearing from you and your experience. You are right there is always something when you buy an older coach, especially with the complicated systems on a Prevost. We appreciate you watching!! Happy adventures! 💕Zack & Linda
Hey Zach and Linda, this is Mark and Gail and I met you at Marathon. I would check Freight liner as they carry Detroit 60 parts. Just a thought, and I enjoyed you video.
Mark so good hearing from you. We are praying for Gail and hope she’s recovering. Thanks for the tip. We will check k them out!! Sending hugs to you both!🙏💕Zack & Linda
Alot of advertising is going on here!!! Usually, customers are not allowed when units are in the garage for insurance purposes. We generally steered rv away as it takes so much time to wrap the rv with plastic, cleaning grease , removing panels inside the rv for access, removing boots and coveralls etc. The garage always loose money on any jobs. Hate to say it but no quoted job, just straight time, as long as it takes and the customers always 90% will bitch about the bill. No problem at the beginning, begging to have them work on it, but look out at pay time. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with the process, I worked in the heavy truck Volvo, mack, cat and International units for 15 years. You usually occupy a stall waylongerd than any company truck. FYI, please don't self diagnose issues and stay away mechanics when they are working on it. They hate it and will take twice the time, plus they are put in danger when poking around the bus. Acidently starting the engine when their fingers are in there is dangerous. As a shop foreman, i would never let anyone around the unit while work was being done. Im looking to buy a prevost soon and expecting the issues.. it's good to know mechanics..IMOO. So safe driving be careful out there.
Thanks again for yet another great video. On those slide pins, is that something the owner can lube themselves or it has to be done at the dealer level?
I'm with you Linda... looking at the Detroit Engine with the valves exposed is a tad overwhelming! I usually like to watch RV Repairs, but this one feels overwhelming. Maybe I just don't want to think about my Jake Break being stuck in either the On or Off position. Y'all take care out there!!! Thinking of you!!! ~Big C in the DP 📢 ::: Air Horn 📢 ::: ::: Air Breaks! ::: 🚌🚌🚌
I have the transmission retarder on my H3-45 and it has always worked wonderfully I have the lever on the steering column that you can set the level of retard. My Prevost has had a few issues nothing major I have had it for several years takes a little time to get them zeroed in. And I had done quite a few updates new TV’s new hardwood floors new faucets etc etc. Anyway enjoy the bus, there really is nothing that compares to a Prevost,
Duane, good hearing from you!! We do look forward to all the issues being resolved. We love our Prevost and fingers crossed, we’re back on the road this next week heading to West Palm Prevost show. Thanks for watching! We appreciate you!💕Zack & Linda
So good hearing from you! Our Coach is going thru a season of catching up on past maintenance. We are hoping to hit the road next week. Fingers crossed!! Happy travels 💕Zack & Linda
How did you decide which facility would do the different things that needed to be done? One of the things I like about Marathon is they have the 3 facilities so one is never too far. Glad you’re getting everything dialed in.
Hi there Barry!! Brandon at Legacy Coach is advising us for where to go for what issue. Inland is cheaper in engine work. Calibrating the tanks is unique to Marathon. So it depends on the issue. Hope you are doing well!❤️Zack & Linda
Hi guys. I just heard of the Prevost show in WPB. Is this open to the public? Will there be coaches there to tour that are for sale? Thanks, Barbie and Ken
Ken great question! Yes go to Prevost-stuff.com for details. It’s open to the public and is the largest Prevost show in US. It’s at the state fairgrounds in West Palm Beach. Hope to meet you there!❤️Zack & Linda
We have waited a few days for a part one time. All the other repairs we had parts available within a day typically. Great question. Good hearing from you. 💕Zack & Linda
Seems these issues are known problems that can occur over time. They should be a required service items listed for periotic inspection and maintenance or replacement!
Rick so good hearing from you and we appreciate your perspective. Yes older coaches have a lot to consider before buying. Working thru on problem leads to another. Happy travels 💕Zack & Linda
I am not familiar with the hitch attachment on the H3….our coach is still in the shop, hopefully out by Monday, so it not available to phtotgraph the attachment to the frame. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. Ugh 😣

Jake brake repair seems like a simple repair on a Detroit. Did they give you a reason why parts are a week out especially in a populated Texas area?
So good to hear from you! We have an older coach so they had to get them shipped in from the manufacturer. Good question!! Happy travels❤️Zack & Linda
