Reminds me of my relationship with my father. We had a great relationship and I loved him so much. As my mother became abusive I saw him as ‘good cop’ and when we were together I felt free from my mother. That one girl that covered As The World Caves In got 100M views. I saw 'cover' in the title and looked up the original. There I found Matt. This guy has talent and soul. Even in my sidebar I'm seeing covers of his songs (including this one) that have many times more views, even being covers. That tells me that true musicians see the soul behind Matt and try to capitalize on it. There's something special about finding the golden nuggets of music from unknown artists that's just pure soul. That's why Matt reminds me of Jon Bellion - a name you've likely never heard. And that's the point. Jon Bellion wrote Memories for Maroon 5, Holy for Justin Bieber and Graveyard for Halsey. He could have released the songs himself and gotten famous but didn't. He kept the music sacred and let other artists, artists whom prioritize the industry over the music, and made them famous because of it. This Matt Maltese guy reminds me of him for that reason.
