That's what we do with bananas and sapota...why not for mango ..but people don't sell such unripe ones in fruit shops...The ones in vegetable shop won't ripen for some reason...so they should start selling such mangoes first ..

Hi I'm a fruit vendor. Whatever you said is true. That sinking part, spoilt mangoes can be found by sinking artificially ripened mango which is hard still. If it floats there is high possibility of that mango being spoilt inside (personal experience)

I buy raw mangoes and leave it on a news paper. It will ripe One by one for a week. It smells awesome and tastes good. மக்களுக்கு அவசரம். அதனால் தான் கல் வைத்து பழுக்க வைக்கிறார்கள். ஒரு வாழைப்பழம் கூட உண்ண முடியவில்லை. மருந்து அடித்து பழுக்க வைக்கப் படுகிறது.

Also end customers buy only almost ripened mangoes,would u buy a raw mango and wait for 8 to 10 days for it to ripen and then eat??
If u are willing to ripen it by using grass then u can go to koyambedu market at 11 o clock in morning and u will se that is when these people will be putting carbide satchet into mango boxes. U can take a box before they put carbide in it. Tnis is the only way
