I had the opportunity on two different days to work with Karen Osborne honestly I found her to be the most interesting person I’ve worked with in many years. We were trawling for invertebrates and as we did she was describing the different animals at the separate depths they occupied. Her ability to bring them to life was astounding and the scope of her knowledge was equally as impressive. Add to that, she is as good and able a deck mate as the best I’ve worked with and I doubt there isn’t much that she couldn’t handle aboard a working boat. I hope someday to work with her again, because there aren’t many like her out there. She is doing what she was born to do, beyond any doubt.A thoroughly enjoyable personality only equaled by her enthusiasm for her science.
