I studied it in high school music class. Travelled to Saratoga Springs in upstate New York to hear it performed live outdoors. Vivid memories of it to this day.
Truly intriguing to imagine that this has been played in vienna in 1943/44. Maybe in some twist of fate this is a musical representation of those times and the powers behind them. Irony of fate. The magical music of time, that was the moving force behind everyone, without them knowing or hearing.

One of the greatest suites of music ever composed. Thrilling, moving, uplifting and tender all in the same instant. Until you understand that it was specifically designed around themes selected to meet the endorsement of the Nazi board of the Reich Chamber of Culture at its premier in 1937. To what extent, if any, can Art be free of the circumstances around its creation? Conflicting.

Sang it, love it. Most of this recording is awesome except 'Ego Sum Abbas'. It was missing the anvil/metal clang to puncuate the ends of phrases. It was the way I first heard it, and I just don't enjoy symphonies that do not include it.
I’ve been listening to Carmina Burana since the 60s when I lived at home when I was a kid
My parents thought I was a weird kid, this made me happy. Since the 80´s... after that came punk and wave 😲
How many schools did you burn down? : ))
I’m an adult not even 20 and Ive been listening to this for a year or so, it’s enjoyable at any age
Me too and when i was 14 i realized what It was for me 🖤

Vez em quando os homens fazem uma perfeição. Essa é uma delas. Magnífico! Carmina Burana é perfeita !
Wimbledon Choral are performing this with other choirs in the RAH 29 October it’ll be great fun to sing!
it would be nice if described wich orchestra, year, conductor....
A superb performance!
A Lot of people saying they would like to do small arrangement, if that was possible, this wouldn't be a masterpiece...

Чудесная и волнующая музыка. Час - за одно мгновение!

My limbs were broken at the Royal Albert Hall during a performance of The Carmina Burana.
A fitting crescendo.

That sounds like one fun mosh pit.
i feel like there is a backstory to this one
I’d forgotten how ‘dancey’ it is, you want to leap around with tambourines and big skirts! Wonderful

This is the best performance & recording of this I have ever heard
Too bad we don't know who did this great performance. They deserve credit and it's just crazy to post something without giving the artists credit.

The stage should be bathed in a deep red light for any performance of this composition.

Why is there carmina burana in between my ads
44:00 Circa mea pectora.. kinda my favourite choir Part, would be better if the men would be more liquid, or like, faster in that part
my better half describes this as sounding like the end of the world has come.
Soloists?
So who’s performing
Philadelphia Orchestra, Eugene Ormany
Ormandy and not Ormany
Formidable bellísima no me canso de oír el canto la orquesta y acompañamiento con los instrumentos de percusión
Carl Orff - Carmina Burana
