Every Marine is a rifleman, but every SEAL is a new york times best selling author.
Every Marine a Rifleman. The biggest lie I ever heard
Ppl think countries are afraid of the 12 badass operators. In reality, it's the 2000 marines locked and loaded 24/7/365
That the US can put anywhere on earth in 48 hrs
Every marine a rifleman: that’s a lie
What about the Seal that really killed Bin Laden...
Well, it’s true not every marine is an active “rifleman” holding that MOS but every marine has to qualify with that rifle, and every Marines cutting score is affected by that badge that he wears on his or her uniform. The idea is even if you are a cook and we need some bodies-You’ve shot a rifle once or twice that is all that is meant by that. Unless that is no longer true, and has changed in the last 30 years.
Damn Axel supposedly surviving this whole time is crushing. He was the real "survivor" in this scenario. Guy was a badass.
This fact is gut wrenching , his family must be livid
When I heard that part I literally said "aww fuck" loud enough that people in my office asked me what happened. If a total stranger feels that, now imagine what Axe's family feels hearing that. What a totally crushing thing to hear.

@@rossauce12No it isn’t, it is his own company, has nothing to do with BRCC
They were all heroes. Not just Axel. The Marcus Lutrell story of him covering his ears was told years ago. It's not a new development in this scenario. He had absolutely no way to help himself let alone climb up a mountain and try to assist his brothers in arms. Nobody can judge him if you were not in his situation. Point the fi ger at a man that had the balls to go into hostile territory with only 3 other team members to scout out the target and eliminate if possible. Quit judging and start supporting

Exactly, Jesse Ventura tells everyone he was a navy seal, however, he never attended buds training. Ventura, is a laughable, lying, freak show.

Marine first always, MOS doesn’t matter, except if you are not a Grunt, POG. lol just kidding a little.
when did Army back it?
Political class trying to devide the seal teams people wake up or were all DEAD!!!
Oh don't worry they will be turning on marines next.
Some interesting quotes if anyone is curious:
From Army Ranger Nicholas Moore:
"The ODA and Ranger medics took a look at Marcus and assessed his injuries. He had cuts, bumps and bruises. He even had a bullet wound - through his butt! Marcus was sore from having falling down the mountain in his panic, but he was able to move slowly under his own power... Some asked what Marcus was like. The consensus was that he was ungrateful and the most important thing to him seemingly was that he would never live down the day he was rescued by Rangers. We couldn’t help but have questions about the lone survivor of the lost SEAL team, Marcus Luttrell. We had been frustrated by his inability to remember clear details which would have aided the search for his lost comrades. We also questioned the accuracy of his claims for having been caught up in such a large firefight. Intelligence reports pre-insertion had indicated an enemy force of 12-15 enemy fighters but nowhere near the numbers Luttrell would later describe which amounted to a force of 200 fighters. Certainly, we found no forensic evidence of such a large- scale fight over the two-week period we stayed in the area. We did find a lot of 7.62mm WARSAW ammo for AKs and PKMs in a couple of locations, indicating support by fire, but only a handful of 5.56 NATO brass."
Army Ranger Tony Brooks:
"The body of Matthew Axelson would be recovered on July 10, four days after I had left the mountain. It is thought that he may have survived and evaded for a period of time longer than originally reported... What we have learned and all but confirmed on the ground is that the Shah fighting force was likely in the 8-12 men range. Video evidence and the minimal amount of 7.62mm brass found at the scene helped the determination”
From Mathew Cole:
"The SEALs’ target, a local insurgent named Ahmad Shah, had been alerted by the unmistakable noise of a twin-rotor helicopter flying over a steep and narrow canyon. Shah grabbed his small force, as few as seven but no more than ten, and quietly stalked up the ridgeline in the early morning hours as the SEALs settled into a covered observation post... The public could be forgiven for believing that the Navy had certified Luttrell’s account. Indeed, Naval Special Warfare Command said next to nothing, their silence a tacit confirmation of Luttrell’s story. The men from Red Squadron and the rest of SEAL Team 6, however, knew different. “It was very clear that it was bullshit,” said the former Red operator who helped search for Luttrell in the Korengal Valley. Some of the Red Squadron operators would refuse to shake Luttrell’s hand in the years afterward... In the aftermath of Naval Special Warfare’s deadliest day, Team 6 conducted an internal examination of what went wrong on Red Wings. After several weeks, their conclusion was straightforward: nearly everything."
From Mohammed Gulab and Marines in a Newsweek interview:
"Gulab maintains the SEALs were far from the stealthy, superhuman warriors described in Lone Survivor. They didn't die because they spared civilians, he says; they died because they were easily tracked, quickly outmaneuvered and thoroughly outgunned. The militants, like many others in the area, heard the helicopter drop the Americans on the mountain, Gulab claims. The next morning, they began searching for the SEAL's distinctive footprints. The way Gulab heard it from fellow villagers, when the militants finally found them, the Americans were deliberating about what to do with the goat herders. The insurgents held back. After Luttrell and company freed the locals, the gunmen waited for the right moment to strike.
The battle, Gulab claims, was short-lived. He wasn't on the mountain with Luttrell but says everyone in the village could hear the gunfire. Gulab scoffs at the estimate by Naval Special Warfare Command that 35 Taliban died in the battle. (A Navy spokesman declined to comment on the matter.) But the Afghan claims the villagers and American military personnel who combed the mountain for the bodies of the dead SEALs never found any enemy corpses. (Andrew MacMannis, a former Marine Colonel who helped draw up the mission and was on scene during the search and recovery effort for the dead SEALs and other military personnel, says there were no reports of any enemy casualties."
"[Luttrell's claims] are exaggerated nonsense," says Patrick Kinser, a former Marine infantry officer who participated in Operation Red Wings and read the former SEAL's after action report. "I've been at the location where he was ambushed multiple times. I've had Marines wounded there. I've been in enough firefights to know that when shit hits the fan, it's hard to know how many people are shooting at you. [But] there weren't 35 enemy fighters in all of the Korengal Valley [that day]."
From Ed Darack who was embedded with 2/3rd Marines:
"I immediately ordered Lone Survivor, thinking that the book would provide much more detail than the Post article did. I also contacted all of the members of 2/3 who played roles in Red Wings, asking them if they'd been contacted about providing after action reports or interviews for Lone Survivor. None had. I read the book, thinking that I could possibly use information in it as source material for VICTORY POINT. Information in Lone Survivor, however strayed so substantially from Luttrell's after action report, and so much general information in it was so inaccurate that I could not use it as a source. For instance, the book describes "hundreds" of Taliban, when in Luttrell's after action report, he stated 20 to 35. While analysis of intelligence later revealed a number somewhere in the range of 8 to 10...A few weeks after its release, I learned that Lone Survivor was written in its entirety by Patrick Robinson (a British writer who primarily pens military fiction titles, many of which portray U.S. Navy SEALs), based on unrecorded interviews of Marcus Luttrell by Robinson. The writing was done while Luttrell was subsequently deployed to Iraq. I also read in this article, written by Patrick Robinson himself, that Naval Special Warfare chose him to be the ghost writer, and this choice had been made just weeks after Operation Red Wings had drawn to a close."
Also From Ed Darack in the book Victory Point:
"First, Wood assumed that their reconnaissance and surveillance team would insert by foot, departing from one of the villages in the Pech Valley, such as Watapor, which lay just twelve hours distant for a strong team like Ronin (traveling through the mountains, not on established roads or large trails). But, he learned, they would insert by helicopter, fastroping onto a spot just over a mile from NAIs 2, 3, and 4 on the saddle between Sawtalo Sar and its sister peak just to its south, Gatigal Sar, certainly alerting Shah and his men of the close presence of American forces, Wood thought. The size of the recon team also bothered Wood. NAVSOF planners chose to insert just four men for phase one. The OpsO would also learn that the four had never operated in the Korangal and Sawtalo Sar area. From Kinser’s briefs, Wood knew that each small nook of the Hindu Kush held its own unique challenges, from the standpoints of terrain, weather, and the locals-and the challenges of the Korangal area revealed themselves to be of deadly serious proportions. Wood felt that the best chances of success came with a team of six, as he originally planned with Eggers and Team Ronin. Comms posed another issue; when asked about their communications gear, Tom learned that they would in fact not be carrying a 117, but an MBITR with a “Sat Fill” allowing the small five-watt radio (as opposed to the 117’s twenty watts) to utilize
- SATCOM with encryption. As a backup, the recon team would use an Iridium satellite phone, not a piece of comm gear Tom would approve for any of 2/3’s operations, particularly after hearing Kinser’s experiences with the unit at Camp Blessing, just eight air miles from Sawtalo Sar. Also related to potential communications problems, NAVSOF chose to command their phases of Red Wings from their COC in Bagram. While the SEALs would place liaisons at the JAF COC housing the Maine command-to ensure no “blue on blue” (fratricide) incidents, and to help coordinate any rescue attempt, should one be needed-Wood regarded this as an absolute, and potentially disastrous split of Red Wings’ command and control, not only a bifurcation of the employment of C2, but a physical separation of the two command elements."
"We need to launch the QRF right fucking now!” an exasperated Tom Wood barked to Rob Scott. “We can’t. We don’t have the authority,” the executive officer answered what Wood already knew. “The react order is in the hands of SOE” As the SEAL liaisons rushed to make a series of desperate calls to Bagram and continued attempts to raise the recon team by radio and Iridium, Capuzzi and his Marines of the QRF waited anxiously near a wooden guard shack at the east end of the PRT airstrip. Wood, Long, and Scott burned with frustration while the four men on the ground fought as desperately aind valiantly as any U.S. military unit ever had in the history of American warfare."
"Forty-five minutes after the hard-compromise call, the Marines couldn’t believe that the order to extract the team hadn’t yet been issued. “By now, we could have birds in the air, eyes on the four SEALs, and grids of Shah and his men’s positions-and then have Apaches run close air support, and get the team the fuck outta there,” the OpsO raged. But the Marines could only stand by, hamstrung by the obscenely convoluted command structure. At a time when every second counted, the Marines in the COC felt helpless."
Why haven’t you just looked at his medical procedures after being rescued? Then you have factual information to go off of
@@Lockshow19 Not sure what that has to do with my comment.

Hi, I’m a woman in her 20s and I’m training to become a U.S. Navy SEAL.
What advice would you give for women that want to be SEALs? If you had to go to BUD/S again, how would you prepare differently? What books or workout programs would you recommend?
Most female SEAL candidates struggle with carrying the boats and logs, doing pull ups, having grip strength and completing the “Dirty Name” on the obstacle course. Also, a lot of female SEAL candidates break their legs or develop stress fractures.
A woman made it to day 4 of BUD/S first phase recently but she quit on that day. That’s the farthest a woman has made it. Her BUD/S classmates told me that her class hated her and ran her out from under the boat because she was a boat ducker. Nine women have entered the SEAL pipeline since 2016.
I think it impossible to become SEALs as a women. I recommend joining support team. Like intel officer or EOD. You will be supporting SEALs and maybe other SOF units. You can also join Delta support as women. Former Delta said there are and were women in delta as a assaulter. And these, days there are pretty a lot of leaked pics of women delta operator.@@Anonymous18817
I get your point but that’s just a tactic used to bait someone into lying. People can have a hard time remembering anything when questioned, especially if it relates to a traumatic event.

The Chapman debacle is an absolute disgrace. Chapman was left for dead---there is no question about that. And then the Navy brass betrayed him again by lying about the sequence of events to promote their own SO for the Medal of Honor at the expense of Chapman's legacy. Sickening.
Slabinski doesn’t deserve the MOH and should give it back.
Yep, there are many, many good medal of honor recipients out there. The Navy going out of its way to cover up two gaffes by awarding medal of honors dishonors them.
It's not so easy has the story makes it out to be. Imagine being in that dark of night. The FOG of war is heavy. Chapman no doubt was a hero, but I doubt that whatever the seals have done would the outcome be any different.
Chapman, the AF CCT yeah? He got the Medina complex named after him postmortem, everyone going through AF basic now knows his name, and they better learn his story if they know what's good for him
What you MIGHT start to learn is that the special ops guys in the AIR FORCE are the ones with the real courage
As a experienced veteran of a Long Range Surveillance Detachment with real world missions under my belt I have said from the first time I saw “Lone Survivor” it was a start to finish tutorial of how to not conduct a surveillance mission. This is disturbing info to hear.
I was in a LRS Unit myself and yeah. None of this shit adds up.
Not to mention who the fook planned this mission?
4 Man insert, fast roping during the Day in a Valley?
LRS Dets have 6 Man Teams. Only 4 is extremely low amount of Guys. Suicide
Why didn't they enact their E&E as soon as they were seen by the Goat Herder? Mission is over with at that point. GTFO of there.
Seems like the Seals were sitting around trying to drum up Dumb Cool Guy sht to do in the AO.
They should have took a Marine Infantry Platoon with them to set up a second OP for QRF.
If the 4 Man team is Comprised, you have a Marine Platoon a couple clicks away to respond
Also WTF were they doing???
The a massive factor in Recon is having Coms, apparently they couldn't get a signal? That's why Murphy ran out into the Open to get on the Sat Phone?
That isn't how you set up a Surveillance Mission.
You set up a Hide sight as a Coms Relay for the Surveillance sight.
What exactly were they doing? Did they think they were gonna sneak in at the top of a Mountain like some Ninjas and hope to have Coms?
@@LordDirus007in one of the taliban videos they show the hide site and a lean-to…so how long do those take to construct? Were they there longer than they said?
I was on that Marine QRF for the SEALs and we were told to stand down after we were prepped and ready to go in favor of the SEALs. You need to be acclimated to that elevation (which we were) and I never to this day understood why they didn't send us in first. We knew that area like the back of our hands. Instead my platoon was tasked to do a VCP at the entrance of the valley before eventually asking us to push up a few days later
Bro, the same happened on the Jessica Lynch rescue. The Doc approached our unit with the info. Later we were told the black helos you see, you don't see. It has to be SpecOps propaganda bullshit on the backs of warriors. We had the hospital cordoned and Marines died. It's all bullshit bro, I honestly think its dick swinging. The Army didn't want Leathernecks rescuing a soldier, that's my honest opinion. Semper
Sorry brother but i'm not American, what is VCP? What does it mean? I know it's something operational, but i can't understand what...
@lionheartpt4555 it's a vehicle check point near the base of the mountain. We did that for 2-3 days before they asked us to push up the mountain to the crash site.
I hear you man. My personal experience and opinion, the higher ups( also the Special operation command) wanted the GB and Ranger to get the spot light on that rescue mission. You know how officers and senior NCO write themselves up for awards 👀
@@erickgutierrez6743 oh,Vehicle check point,i got you brother, thank you for responding and clarifying it to me,i appreciate you man.
The fact they didn't let you guys push up is actually suspicious, from where i'm standing it looked like a mission that from the very begining was not well planed, and when stuff went sideways the fact they didn't let you guys do your thing is just absurd to say the least.
The SEAL brand is getting old. When Frogman Tactical is talking about beating up a UFC champion, you know they have lost their minds.

He's not living with guilt because he keeps benefitting off of their deaths.

They didn't talk about it. And they certainly wouldn't have hung someone they served with out to dry. They were better men in more ways than one, and America is and will continue to pay the price for the lack of such men.
Taliban heard their chopper fly in. They found the fast rope and tracked the Seal team to their OP.
Taliban watched them deal with the GOAT hurders, they continued to track them, when the time was right? Taliban ambushed them.
They had no chance, they didn't know the terrain, they were trying to get lifted out, couldn't make comms checks on the move, then bam attacked.

Thank you again for setting the record straight, before there’s no one left to set it straight.
There were two videos made of the ambush by the enemy fighters. I’ve seen one of the videos where they loot Murphy and Deitz’s bodies. Luttrell lied to cover up the fact that he abandoned his teammates on the battlefield. The recon phase of the mission was a total failure in planning in execution

Absolutely amazing interview and show…..thanks for all your hard work to give us this information.
My Uncle was on the Teams and enlisted in the early 90's. He never talked about what he did but my aunt told me he was one of the guys who went in to get Marcus. I was hanging out with him last Thanksgiving at his house and brought up Delta because I got all fanned out like a lot of people do lol. He just casually told me, "oh yea, I was playing guitar with a Delta guy a few days ago." I won't say his name, but he was and still is against putting their business out there and I always respected that.
I respect him and never met him. That is the way it should be.
Delta is tier 1 that's why. They go by many different names "the unit" is what I know them as, but, they won't even mention that they are actually a tier 1 ODA, and they usually have a fake cover. when I mean cover, it's a cover job that they do, and what they tell their friends and family. So they could be anyone on post from working in the motor pool, or the duty sgt at some barracks, until they get a pager text, phone text, or call for a mission. then they will let their family know that they will be training out in the field for the next few days or week, but in reality they are heading into get briefed for a mission, or grabbing all of their prepacked kits for doing a missions in a certain environment. However, when they do leave, or aren't active with the group, that's when they usually will say they used to be delta. Also usually every 6months or atleast twice a year, most retired delta/SF guys will all gather together, and hangout for the day. My cousin showed me lots of pictures, awards, and medals he got from serving 80s until 2000. During desert storm, their DCU's just had sewed on name plates, but it wasn't their names, and they didn't have unit patches. He retired from delta as E-9 CSM, he did say "the early 80's to 90s" they were busy, and he did lots of jumps out of japan, lol.
all the pictures that he has from the 90's when he was a E7 with all the delta command, I can see all of their faces, because they retired after the gulf war, and you can't really identify them as delta. they all looked like regular army guys, but other pictures that my cousin has in his office, all of the faces and certain things are completely blacked out to protect the identities of the younger guys that was under him as a CSM, and if they weren't blacked out, they were blurred out completely to hide tattoos, and/or anything that will give away identity/location of operation.
Just a FYI, your uncle will not talk about any mission that hasn't been declassified, and he probably won't even speak to you about any operations, because you wouldn't understand or will ask too many questions, lol. I will tell any civilian or family member, if they want to know what combat is like, or how was it working with SF group 3 amphibious out in mindinao, etc, i'll either just say something short and quick, or tell them to watch a podcast or documentary with real footage of declassified operations. If they want to join a branch to become part of their special ops group, I'll tell them if they are physically and intelligent enough to try their luck, but i'll let them know that it's a lonely life, and it's very hard to not get a divorce, because they will constantly be gone, and when they are at home, they aren't really at home. However what is the reason for them wanting to try out to become one? if its for the clout or want to be a badass, then i'll tell them that they won't ever make it, because, they are joining for all the wrong reasons, and most people that want to join, it's because they always wanted to be one, or they wanted to test themselves to see if they can actually make it.

What I find baffling is how 4 super-trained Seal can stumble upon a young shepherd in daylight at the very beginning of their mission. During my training, if there was one thing you did not do on a recon mission, it was move around, make noise, even piss in daylight, let alone run into boy-shepherds associated with insurgents. Then you find out it was Luttrell's very first mission ... Then you read that maybe they abandoned the fast ropes on the ground and villagers found them ...
I can answer that, Marcus has admitted numerous times unwittingly that they stopped at a campfire, Dietz was hiding inside a burned out tree trunk before the goat herders showed up and stumbled upon them
Many of us in the Marine Corps SpecOps community questioned Luttrell's version of events. Thanks for the discussion.

Eric Deming's revelations about the Lone Survivor story hit like a freight train, forcing us to grapple with the uncomfortable truth behind the hero narratives we've held dear. This episode isn't just an eye-opener-it's a call to reexamine everything we thought we knew about the complexity of valor and the weight of choices made in the heart of battle. And with Chris Kyle, it raises poignant questions about the line between being a hero and becoming a legend in one's own mind. It's a stark, raw look at the human side of heroism and the tangled web of reality and myth. An absolute must-watch. Wow, just wow

Im a Navy Veteran and I will say what others will not say. Do not try. War is not made for women, period. It's not just your physical abilities that are lacking it is how men and women interact together. I have seen incredible comraderie of a team get shattered over women. Your very presence will destabilize the cohesion of a unit. It has less to do about your physical capacity. But instead of how the team is changed by your presence. Seek another rate/MOS if you must join the military. I mean this with the upmost respect.

Seeing this podcast from you guys has been an experience like no other… I was a rescue swimmer and logistics specialist in the Navy who originally entered wanting to become a SEAL, and was dropped from trying to hide the fact that I had SIPE (which now that I’m older and more mature know it was a very stupid thing because of the fact that I was playing with fire). Because on one side I want to hate on you guys because I feel the men that I have looked up to as gods of Mount Olympus are being torn down 😢. Yet, I’m also incredibly thankful for what you all are doing because it’s started to bring down this blind fold that I had for so long where I regarded these men as not just heroes but as the closest things to gods, and so it’s very painful to hear these truths. And so at the end of the day I may feel a since of overwhelming sadness while also feeling a great deal of gratitude because there are a lot of holes in these stories that I just wanted to turn a blind eye to. Yet, if you guys aren’t doing this than who would? And I’d still be living the lie of thinking that someone is this perfect example of true heroism… So, while it’s painful at the end of the day the truth is the truth regardless of how I or others may feel… So, keep up the good work as painful as it may be, and god bless you all for taking up this burdensome responsibility which not many would have the balls to do including me so thank you for making me a better man by taking off this blindfold as painful as it may be… You guys are truly on a level of bravery unlike no other so keep it up fellas!

I saw the Lone Survivor movie when it came out and hated it. It was an absurd Hollywood embellishment of a book that itself was already being suspected of being a bunch of lies. It’s good to see people finally bringing the truth to light.
I watched it at the hotel night before MEPS. Couldn’t watch the movie. Even as someone who had no military experience at the time all of the decisions made didn’t seem like decisions top tier American military would make.
Or the 100+ insurgents that came out of nowhere but the recee team didn’t see them on infil? Fishy
The best way to look at the movie is to treat as a fictional war movie about ops in Afghan.
Looking at it in that way, the 'Hollywood' input isn't as bad as it is no different than any other war movie depicting fictional events really.

I’m from NH and had friends working for Perry’s Super PAC and they asked me (who previously interned for a congressional campaign in NH) if I could drive Marcus and a few other SEALs for day visiting rallies. From morning to evening, I drove Marcus and these former SEALs (one of which was Medal of Honor recipient and former Navy Seal, Vietnam Vet Michael Thornton).
My one memory from that day was how much of an asshole Marcus was. I remember missing a turn and him yelling from the back seat “get your head out of your ass or else I pull it out for you.” Thornton on the other hand, sat in the front seat with me the whole time, asked about my life, thanked me for driving them all at each stop, and even tried to tip me.
Every time I’d try to talk to Marcus, he’d ignore me. Even after I shook his hand and thanked him for his service, he looked annoyed and didn’t even look me in the eye as he half assed shook my hand.
I have the utmost respect for service members and come from a long line of Army veterans: a grandfather who joined the Army during WW2 when he was of age, another grandfather who served in the Korean War, a father who joined the Army in Vietnam and eventually flew Blackhawks in Iraq, and a brother who is currently serving in the Army.
Service members deserve respect. Especially those who have put their lives on the line. But to walk around like your shit doesn’t stink and treat people who appreciate your service like shit is so disheartening.
legendary podcast. you guys changed my mind about so many people I considered heroes. Keep going!!!
Two hours just flew by. So many great minds with so much to say about topics they know a ton about. Good work out there
My son was "the gunner" (left door gunner/crew chief) on the second MH47 and it was he who saw what he told me was an RPG round fly up and hit the other '47. Probably not being familiar with what an SA7 trail would look like would certainly explain why he told me it was an RPG round. Also, he said they flew around for a while but did not mention landing on a hill top. He specifically said the gunners were not given a weapons free order because of the risk of hitting the SEAL team. He told me that they did have Apache helicopter support but the Apache trailed behind because the Chinooks were faster. The Taliban video verifies that an Apache was in that flight and trailed behind the 47's. His best friend and roommate, Kip Jacoby, was a crew chief on that other chopper. Question: is there any video available to the public showing the Pred video mentioned that shows Luttrell running? Thank you for this very informative video.
Eric Deming is a brave hero for having the cajones for coming out and speaking about these things where great Americans got killed along with innocents than didn't deserve to die. You can't do things like that and it not have a negative effect down the line. So kudos to him!
What dawned on me was that Marcus named his son Axe. It wasn't a tribute, it was out of guilt.
Ha, When I saw movie, watched you be stuff with him talking, I new something about that was wrong
Why would you name your son that just to guilt yourself even more? Makes no sense.
How does a man live with this lie?
He must justify it with the work he’s now doing.
What dawned on me was the fact this guy got so many details of Marcus's story wrong. He is literally quoting Luttrell's own words wrong...how do you mess up time and time again of trying to quote Marcus, he can't even quote Marcus' own account properly.
Survivor guilt.
For the Gold Star Families, that officer has to have some kind of civil legal exposure. He may have criminal exposure if he lied in any official statements/reports/records.
😮 this podcast just rocked my entire perspective
Very good interview
I hope this is only part 1. Great podcast!
What angers me the most is, Axe most likely died of dehydration ( id rather be shot to death than die like that) and he left his supposed friend up there to die like that. Marcus is a certified Bastard. The hero dies only once, but a coward dies a thousand deaths
We can't judge him, but the fact he was either forced to say all that shit after the fact (which doesn't surprise me) knowing he made millions off of hollywood and selling books from Dietz Axel and Murphy, and the now gold star families, lying to their faces has a heavy fucking toll on your soul, as a Christian yes cowardice is a sin, and I doubt a day goes by he wish he died up there with them. hell, they might of won the firefight.
We don't have to judge him, he's fellow seals are judging him.
Not defending Marcus Lutrell but Axelson was shot numerous times and blown up- he did not die of dehydration.
What would you do?
As I said before, Axelson was shot and killed, he didn't die from dehydration. And to call anyone a coward who has been in a fight that you haven't is extremely ironic considering you have no Clue how you'd react to slabs of fucking Metal cracking over your skull and into your body.
I am happy I bumped into this. I read Operation Red Wings and told all my fiends and family about it too. I was so impressed about Marcus and I am not even military. To find out the story is a bullshit made my heart drop. What a scumbag. It also makes me appreciate Jesse Ventura even more now. Marcus slammed Ventura and called him a coward and a liar. I knew the whole time Ventura was the Truther but never knew how low this went..
Finally! Thank you Eric. Stay strong brother.
I heard this story from multiple cadre while in the Q, even one of them being on the ODA Recce team for that rescue mission. I've also heard it from other SEALs. I think a lot of people know of the boots on ground details. To hear it again from somebody from the SEAL community on an open platform like youtube is pretty wild. This is a big case study, and lessons have been learned from operation red wings
what happened to command ? i just know you lose that many assests and lives your ass in done every bein in command again
Thanks to Eric Deming for clearing up the BS and finally exposing the truth.
He’s a jealous POS, Jocko is a highly respected man within the Teams, and this guy is jealous, talking shit because he wants recognition so badly. I can’t imagine how Axel’s family now feels due to the bullshit this man spews.
I heard about Luttrell running way back and didn't know what to make of it at the time. I never heard that any of his teammates may have still been alive for that long. After the recent allegations of steroids and coke in SEALs, I kept thinking back to Chris Kyle being such an odd character with tall tales. It makes sense he may have had enablers and some of his sniping might not have been on the up and up.
The Navy SEAL “Program”!has run its course. Keep the guys, keep the equipment, keep SOME OF the TTP’s, but the “Brand” needs to go away. True warriors know it ain’t about a name, or a pin. It’s time for our “shadow warriors” to slowly fade back into the shadows. Let the program operate in anonymity once again. Secrecy was a main pillar to this program. The program has run its course. It’s time to reinvent and reclaim the shadows again.
Well put 🤜🏽🤛🏼💯💯💯
Totally agree! Imagine how the BUDS training goes now..."who wants to write a book?" Me sir! Aye aye sir! ---all in unison answer! LOL
You sir are 100% correct. Unfortunately this to many want to have the fame
You said it twice, maybe three times in same paragraph might work better bro.
I’m not so sure it has run it’s course, but more so that the wholeness of the military today is getting rid of all the war fighters
Finally!! somebody with the balls to come outwith this. I am former Navy, “not NSW”, and I could not believe that the country bought this story, hook, line and sinker. I’ve told friends and coworkers that his story did not make any sense and I thought it was bullshit and they acted like I was some kind of communist,.. lol.
I was used to working with, around, and against SEALs on deployment and while doing OPFOR in the 1990s-2000, so I wasn't surprised at all to hear they got compromised and rolled-up, because that's what always happened in training. I was disappointed in how bad their TTPs were doing Recon, how loud they were, their IADs being silly, but they had the cool gear from LBT and VA Beach US Blackhawk kit.
Right , the story was incredible without all the lies , they just had to go above and beyond to make it a reality in there minds.
I feel that Mr Marcus would have saved his brothers if he had the opportunity to do so ! Military brothers don’t leave brothers behind !
That being said , the higher ups was on save our ass mode & failed the COA operation miserably !
The government lies so much , we can only believe what our eyes see , not what our ears heard !
My phone 📱 ends in 7174 lol
@@Anonymous18817 Nobody wants a female on an actual SEAL Platoon, since the job is harder than BUDS. BUDS is designed to bridge the large gap between civilian performance and a deployable SEAL Platoon, which does work-ups that are more difficult than BUDS, especially the Combat Swimmer block, and that’s before they do Land Warfare and SUTs.
It’s just not a job that is friendly to weak people who have inherent challenges with upper body strength, twitchy muscle fiber density and attenuation with the nervous system, or enduring extreme amounts of stress over extended periods of time.
Really strong men already have to exert themselves to keep up with the training and OPTEMPO of SOF units, especially those with a maritime focus.
PODCAST of the Freakin Year. Tellin the Truth ain’t Hatin !!!!! From Rob O’Neil to this Keep doing ya thing bro we definitely appreciate you and ya staff !!!!!
