One day people will wake up to how good these cars are and prices will rise very quickly over something like a 3 year period, but let's enjoy them now and keep it to ourselves
Are they that good? Heard bout issues with plastic chain tensioners and bad ecus, that s never good news.
@@mihailhidler5400 I think so , I also have a Triumph Stag and it also had engine issues, but once sorted you have a great car.
One of the best looking cars on the roads today, Love jaguars.. A thing of beauty, Well done that man 👍
Perfect spec apart from no cruise control
Cruise control really should have been standard equipment given this is effectively the flagship saloon vehicle from Jaguar at the time. For whatever reason Jaguar made it an optional extra.
@@Biggles i have a 1999 in pacific blue with asteroid wheels.criuse but no heated seats.the options jaguar offered were strange.i only recently realised it starts off in 2nd gear.unless sport button is on
That‘s the perfect spec. Congrats!
Thanks!
Beautiful example - thx. Does this unit have the CATS suspension system?
Delighted to see an XJR without the sunroof - I need the interior height - I'm back in the hunt for one of my own ;)
Thank you very much! Yes this example does have the CATS suspension. It drives very well indeed and is nice and stable at speed!
gorgeous. looks good with that wheel size and meaty tires. i hate the oversized wheels with “rubber band” tires. what size are the wheels and what’s your suspension set up?
Thanks! The wheels are special 18 inch BBS "Milan" split rims, which were an option for this car at the time. I think they enhance the appearance of the car quite a lot over the standard "Penta" wheels. The tyres are 255/40/18, which seem to suit the chassis well without compromising on comfort. The suspension setup on this car is completely standard. I don't think they benefit from major modification beyond polybushes in certain areas.
