It all comes down to the dreaded “for the price” disclaimer. Overall, it’s not a bad scope (for the price). I have the SH 4-16x50mm Gen2 and it works but I do see all the “sours” mentioned here. In a one-piece mount that spring housing just keeps me from getting the scope perfectly vertical. I may try rings instead. Or not, it’s off so little that a quick hit with a grinder should make it work without damaging the integrity of the mount. I see what he’s saying about the 8 mil per turn problem but I’m not precision shooting, I adjust aim with the reticle so I’m not bothered by it. I’d like to see this next to the 6-24x Nikon Black scope I got my son right before they stopped producing it or the same focal length Hardline Pro offering from Crimson Trace (I have the distinct impression CT is building their scopes on the old Nikon plans - the 3-12x Hardline is a physical duplicate to my Nikon MTactical but with slightly better glass). I’d be happy if this were true, Nikon’s Philippean made scopes weren’t the best in the world but there was something about that big, bright sight picture that made me happy and I got along with very well. Anyway, my only disagreement with the “sweets” is that the sight picture seems a little washed out. Maybe it was just a bright day when I set it up. Thanks! Very good review!
