Given their prominence in zoos and endangered status, I’d say that after the African leopard, the Amur subspecies is the one most likely to make it into the game.
Big cats have always been my favorite. I really hope they go in depth with variations. Snow leopards, jaguars, Bengal tigers, Siberian tigers, Chinese tigers, along with the genetic variations like white tigers and black panthers
No white tigers. Please. White tigers are inbred, they have many health problems, they do not occur naturally, it is unethical. Planet zoo should not be promoting them.
@@mooninthemist3825 for the vast majority this is the truth, however white tigers are actually naturally occurring, just extremely rare, that is why the few that exhibited the gene were inbred
@@mooninthemist3825 I am hard pressed to imagine that a video game, not only exclusive to 1 platform but almost guaranteed to even inform the player of the genetic variations of these animals will 'promote' bad genes.
I know it's probably not going to happen, but I really want a wombat in a zoo game. I don't know how Frontier is going to do DLC, but it could be cool if they release continent themed packs. Australia, Asia, North and South American, then maybe island themed. I'd totally invest in those types of DLC if they came with new animals, extended biomes, buildings each time.
32:30 I think you meant to say bovids, not bovines; the former refers to any member of the family Bovidae, so any variety of cattle, sheep, goat, or antelope, while the latter is just species of cattle.
Thank you for this series. Between this and the ones you did for JWE, I really value and appreciate your research and passion for the subjects. I've learned a lot from these! Thank you!
Great video, but snow leopards aren't one of the 'five big cats'. There are only really 4 'big cats' - the lion, leopard, jaguar and tiger. The other 'big cats' from the pantherinae family cannot roar - this includes the snow leopard, clouded leopard, and sundae clouded leopard. Although the snow leopard is in the panthera genus I think technically speaking you could say there are either 4 big cats, or 7, not 5.
But technically speaking you could say the genus of Panthera encompasses the big or most famous 5? Theres no technicality here its just cultural definitions on how we define it. Personally I've associated the Panthera genus as the most famous. I don't define 'big' if they roar or not but rather how popular they are and those 5 are definitely the most.
Ethiopia should really let more of their animals be showcased in zoos, especially in case disaster strikes wild populations of Ethiopian wolves and mountain nyala.
I give you mine Top 10 Wishlist: 1. Yeti 2. Nessie 3. Chupacabra 4. Kraken 5. Unicorn 6. Flerken 7. Godzilla 8. Niffler 9. Zouwu 10. Tiger. ...what? Have you never seen a tiger? They are real, i tell you!
Klipspringers should be in the game. It'd be great to make rocks for them to climb on for their enrichment.

I would love that
FlyingFocs me too, I’d prefer it to having the African leopard as we’ve already got both lions and cheetahs from the African savanna

Nightmullet 69 this is a possibility since zebras and giraffes will have so much uniqueness in their patterns that none will be the same

@@superelephant36 Yes, most of the ones in zoos are actually descendants from a white tiger cub captured in 1951.

Marcan There are not in zoos
They are in some zoos
Alpine Bird of prey : Golden eagle , snowy owl, Bearded vulture, griffon vultures ,
Wait I forgot it’s snowy owls are not alpine there Tundra
It would be awesome if they included chinchillas in the game.
Not to mention that the Cuvier’s Gazelle is not only darkest but the smallest gazelle species
Lets do desert next! We have camels, Grey's zebras, African spurred tortoises, etc.
Well we already have Llama, Cougar, Himalayan brown bear, Dhole, Snow leopard, Alpine ibex, Takin, Giant panda
I come from the future and the himilayan brown bear will be in comformed
