If you look for the real luxury bus around java traveling... you can try Rosalia Indah.. they really have wonderful luxury bus.. you can ask for business class or sleeper class... there will be no other people can go inside the bus beside the passengers of the bus.. it's a lot convenient for us.. 😉

That's not luxury type of bus in indonesia but it's kinda like middle class or we often call it executive class. You should try highest class of indonesian bus which is "Sleeper class"
If you have a lot of time, when you arrived in pontianak, then go to putussibau. You are able to use perintis bus from pontianak to putussibau. The prices is $20-25. And the journey will take 15 hours

Indonesian Intercity Buses: More facilities and services than by Train, but oftenly seen bus crews aren't fluent or even poor in verbal or written 2 way communication between them and bus passengers, and it oftenly seen on some old bus operators who they established more than 20 years ago, and old bus operators just only sold the Legendary Name not sold the Hospitality, they oftenly driving Bus with reckless besides playing the traditional dance music (local citizen called as koplo music). But otherwise the new bus operators offers more convenient services to all passengers and they have well educated and communicative bus crews. The other one like Railway Train commonly have well educated, well trained train attendant and officer, so it maybe a reason why intercity train prices far expensive than intercity buses. 😂
nice to see ur video about my country. for the next one you should book bus with details of "non stop" so the buss would not be stop anywhere accept ur destination and the hours would not be that hurtfull, and the most comfortable bus ride u can take at the night. and this bus you choose are not the best of the premiums, u can give extra 5-10$ and get a really nice one. cheers!

Small tips, if you in Jakarta use public transportation like transjakarta, MRT. More cheap and not too tired 😊
For the far trip (long distance trip), like from Yogya to Jakarta, better You use Train.
Train is more comfortable.
