I have a few galen leather products and love them. They've held up well over the years. From pen cases to folio covers, all have been good quality.

Great review. Personally I never been a fan of metal zipper teeth, aluminum nor brass. They leave scratch on my nails so I'm so afraid they damage my pens as well. I think plastic or polymer zipper teeth are very durables as well.

I have a Galen Leather A5 Folio and Medic Bag; love 'em both but I wish they were a little larger.
The website says in the zippered one the tray is lined with something velvety but the case is only leather so the soft interior must just be the suede side of the leather. Idk. Ymmv.
The question is if the colored cases will FADE like the desk cover did????
The zipper case looks nice. :) The other case doesn't look very practical.

Overrated pen cases, they use simple paper cardboard and glue it with outer layer thin leather stitching is all over the place. Overrated and overpriced mediocre quality product.
At least these are better the Pilot Pensemble leather roll I had that have faded colours now years later
