Blasphemous blade with offhand milos sword is S tier combo. The shriek buff stacks with everything as its a weapon buff so i start off the fight with shriek then go at it dual wielding hitting L2 whenever i need to heal
I was having trouble with malenia and was changing up my build and made an int, strength, and dex build with decent vig and end, and heavy armor. I used zamor ice storm to proc frost to cause slowness then used the modified moveset with this to just relentlessly push, turned the fight from agonizing to adrenaline inducing. I also used the greatshield talisman, but i also used the veridian +2, lord of bloods exhaultation, and the ritual shield talisman. Tank the damage, slow em down, get aggressive, its fun.
Yea dude, this is one of those weapons that you can hit trade with even against some of the tougher enemies. That hyperarmor on the charged attack is deadly!
I know it may seem bland, but have you considered a moonveil run video? I'm heavily considering using it on my next run, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it :).
I have said a while ago that I didn't want to use Rivers of Blood or Moonveil for a video, since I didn't have any ideas with them that intrigued me. However, I may reconsider of there's some DLC content that compliments either of those weapons. Before I made videos, I actually used Moonveil on my 12th, 40th, 41st, and 49th playthru of the game, according to my game journal. I used Moonveil with the Carian Regal Scepter and Snow Witch Hat in run 41. Pop on Shard of Alexander, Carian Filigree Crest, Graven Mass Talisman, and Green Turtle Talisman. Use Ranni's Dark Moon and Adula's Moonblade to keep on frostbite, and you'll have great DPS! After writing that all out, the build does sound fun to try again! 🤣
@@the_jersey_side Makes complete sense! I want to use moonveil because the katana moveset is one of the few that makes me feel like a competent warrior, is useful, and the weapon itself looks sick. Are the talismans you mentioned good if I want to be boring and mostly stick solely to the moonveil?
@amcname8789 If you want stick to only Moonveil, swap out Graven Mass Talisman. You can do Dragoncrest Greatshield for more defense, or Millicent’s Prosthesis for Dex and successive attack power!

Could you mind telling me a decent stat spread for this kind of build including Loretta's greatbow and a couple other int skills, but still focusing on the moonveil? I like the base moveset, so I don't want to completely forsake Dex. I'm at level 154 on this character if that helps. Also, I hope I'm not sounding annoying or anything, that's not my intention. Thank you for the help you've given me already, and I always look forward to your vids. :)
@amcname8789 You're all good man! Loretta’s greatbow is great for super long range, but it does take quite a while to use, so maybe you can throw on stars of ruin. It's not the most efficient spell but you can cast it while moving and it has good range. (Although it may have a higher int requirement) Carian Piercer is great for more medium range fights, especially against NPCs because of the knockback. Carian Slicer is super fast and good for super close range and is even faster that your R1s. Those few should be a good strating point!

I use the scorpion stinger to start the fight, then sword of Milo to end it 😭🤣Get that Rot and blood build up!
