Awesome phone. The Nubia is made by ZTE. I had a ZTE phone 2 years ago, and it was one of the nicest phones i ever had. Only reason i got rid of it was the poor battery life, it only had a 2700 mAh battery. Nice review Michael.👍
Thanks Glen! In fact I also used to have a Nubia phone - Z5S Mini. Liked it so much, but the main reason to switch was the battery too. This one handles battery life nuch better.
So I purchased the Global version of the Nubia RedMagic 6 Pro 256Gb back in April & overall I like the phone, but at least in my case, there are some negatives. One big one is that my phone has no wifi calling setting & at least at my house I get no service (my old phone gets signal even without wifi) this is on Mint/T-mobile. Every time I try to access the accessibility settings it just crashes & pushes me back to the main settings page(some apps require accessibility access to work properly, like my sleep tracking app), trying to use Themes also does this. Also, several apps & games don't properly scale to the screen size but it's not too bad.
I also purchased all of the accessories for this & have some issues, the screen protector wasn't the best quality & it looks like it has micro-scratches all over it. the pro handle controller (& the built-in triggers on the phone)only works with apps that are in landscape/horizontal orientation.) & it's not like a normal controller, it lets you assign commands on the screen to buttons. Also, the case included with the controller is SUPER tight & hard to remove (I think it could easily damage the phone). The cooler fan is only useful if you use it on the phone with no case on. It does work well though, even better if you put it over the built-in fan vents (turn off the internal fans if you do this). Also the phone doesn't have enough of the bands needed for Verizon.
@@TechMishka Good news, today 06/29/21 I got a system update for my phone & I'm happy to say that the update fixed Wifi calling, & themes. Accessibility(in Settings>Advanced settings>Accessibility function) still crashes back to the main settings screen though. I'm just glad I don't have to switch my sim card back & forth everytime I leave & get home.
It is really the best value for a gaming phone. Top tier specs for $200 less than the competitor, Asus Rog 5. I ordered one. My first ever gaming phone purchase! Cannot wait until I get my hands on it.
Just got one of these to see what these gaming phones are like. Things I like, the screen, the haptics, and the price. Things I don't like, the keyboard doesn't have a margin at the bottom, the app optimization is obviously poor since this is not a popular device, and there seems to be some odd touch responses sometimes.
Thanks for sharing about your experience, Matthew! Let's hope to see it getting better and better in the coming months. Which is the device that you used previously?
@@TechMishka I own multiple just because... reasons, I own an LG V60, and a Galaxy S21. The optimization for both of those devices is way better obviously simply because more people purchase and own those, so it benefits app developers more to optimize apps for those customers. I like the look and feel of this device though
Thank you so much! I want to do this as long as I have fun and it brings some value to all of you, the awesome people that watch the content. Cheers! 😎
Nice review, I ordered the pro version. Im in the US and its getting really hard to buy chinese phones here, nubia supports almost all of the common us bands.
That's great to hear! I was thinking yesterday - ZTE (the mother-brand) used to have issues with the US government but now it's Huawei that lost access to google. So good to see Nubia being active with nice phones.
Hello i just want to ask , i see people commenting their old variant Nubia phone that it has no update features? is the nubia redmagic 6 have supporting update features? i want to buy the Global version?
I have received two of them so far, and I very much hope they will continue doing it. If you need to be sure that updates will be present - I believe Asus and Xiaomi are better at that.
If you can get the Asus at the same price - there's not much of thinking, especially if software support is your priority. 4GB RAM can be a lot, but most games won't need more than 6-7, so you should be fine.
Dont really use the camera made the best choice by buying redmagic 6 pro .. for camera is use seprate pocket camera gimbals. Everything has a solution 😁
Hey Ali, thanks for the comment. Perhaps it wasn't very clear from the video - but I do like the camera performance quite a lot. It may not be up to par with the market leaders in some ways, but is pretty good about what it does. So glad to hear that you enjoy the phone. Keep rockin'!
Useless headphone jack(placement), non existent software support as well as non existent customer support. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM RED MAGIC. THESE REVIEWS ARE PAID ( REVIEWERS ARE LYING TO US AND GETTING PAID)
Hey Miss Clasher, thank you for your comment. I may have to disappoint you, but the review is not paid at all, and there have been two updates I already received. If you have concerns about support - better get the phone from Amazon; Their customer service is pretty good.

Great review bro, getting one on Friday can’t wait
Lol mine is also coming on friday(RM6 pro). I'm quite anxious

Sounds like a lot of hours of gaming are coming! 👍
Getting one soon. Thanks for detailed review. I don't know if is only me, but I love the fan noise
Did u get it?

Yeah, pretty decent performance.

Hey, just little bit of misconception right there, the pro version for global version actually starting at $699 instead of $729!
It’s $599 for me
Oh, thanks for the correction!

Can you please ask the question in English? Google translate doesn't return anything meaningful.
@@TechMishka if I buy red magic 6 from Saudi and come to India so it will work properly or not?
Thinking about getting the Chinese model and flashing the global rom on it. 17min charge time all day
If that's easy to be done - then great!

Asus rog5 or red magic 6 for gaming plz help me!!????
Both are excellent phones. The end of the video covers exactly this topic.
I hope i get one someday
Fingers crossed!
is it normal to get warm during gaming?
Yeah, of course. This is why it's equipped with a real fan.
Yooo, who's that pro-gamer there :D
Looks like he knows what he's doin! 🦄
Red magic 6 is coming to India?
I think so.
U.S. T-Mobile user of RedMagic 6 Pro any issues on 4G &5G and day to day use (texting, calling, and browsing). Response will be appreciated.
I'm also interested in this
I can get rog 5 with same price of red magic 6 ,but with 8Gb ram ( 12 with red magic 6 ) ..
Both with 128Gb hard memory ,
Which one you prefer ?

Bro can you tell us when 90fps (PUBG) available in this device....?
Not sure about this, mate.
I just sold my Rog phone 3 for $600. Now i am thinking about getting this phone second hand for $450.
Looks interesting 🤔
Yup! Really great value pack for that price.
Im looking for a perfect device for pubg mobile. I can sacrifice camera performance.
When you're a gamer, the camera doesn't matter as much. So this is understandable
This is the best gaming phone for the price you pay. So it should be good.
Everyone says that but don't buy..Becouse of poor software support...i wonder redmagic 3 still has support??i read about that tons of article
I don't think Nubia are great about supporting software. But I didn't notice any issues or bugs that are too annoying.

599 for the non-pro edition. Up to 750 for the pro. It's shown in the video too.
IOS or Android?
It's Android smartphone, of course.

okay

Hm, I don't think Asus will design something that weak. Perhaps it's about a few units only.
