I tried an iPhone X a couple of years ago and I was not happy with the keyboard as well. I used SwiftKey and in android I love it. Using it on the iPhone it was dreadful. Watching your video I was hoping it would be better. I made comments in their community about it and how much better SwiftKey was but they definitely don't like anyone saying anything about android being better. It felt like a police state how quickly they jumped on me. It's a shame because I, like yourself, liked a lot about the iPhone but for me the keyboard was a deal breaker as I use it a lot for work.
Very fun and interesting video! iPhones are for users/consumers, not for people who want their phone to be a tool and to do whatever then want it, however they want it. If you don't know how to best utilise a device, Apple is surely happy to tell you and to take your money for it.
For my case, I noticed that as I get older (30+) I stopped to be the power android user as I was before, so I said that when Iphone shall adopt type C, i’m buying one. Bought the 15pro as 24mos instalment; Something I cannot do for most of flagship android in my place. I am still annoyed of many basic features that android has and this doesn’t. I guess i’m more patient now or i am used to it already. Agree with resell value, mine i can swap as 70% cost after 2years, or maybe more if posted in marketplace.
Using XR for three years now. I agree with most or even all your comments. iCloud is either almost useless or payed slope towards paying even more. Keyboard situation is even worse in some cases - there are apps that only work with the Apple keyboard - writing there is pure frustration. The swipe for go to back not working properly is also generally not ok. On the plus side Apple Pay works rather good. And security keychain and the ability to log with just face or fingerprint scan on various apps and sites is very seamless and easy. Wandering how is this on the Android front nowadays?

The iCloud part seems really sketchy especially after you spend over 1000 euros on a phone. Probably the best review of iPhone 16 I've seen.
I would add the absence of split screen feature on iOS.
