- So Yeah, The First Two levels of the Game can be quite difficult because you don't have a lot of resources but as it goes on, it gets a little easier, just a little.
Despite the difficulty spike, the game is easily one of the greatest games to be ever made, there's just something about Rapture that makes the game one of my favourites even years after I first played it.

Not gonna lie my first playthrough was on survivor difficulty without vita chambers and I can tell you its painful but extremely satisfying.

Thanks 🇮🇪 Yeah the platinum can be quite difficult at first but by the end you’ll have no problems but I do recommend deleting the save files from the game once you’re done if you’re going to the play the second one or do a cleanup run, there’s a nasty glitch in the game which won’t allow you to save, it tends to happen on the survivor trophy because you end up saving a lot, I was very luck in that the glitch came when I had completed the first game but it did mean I had to do the remaining trophies for the first one in one sitting before I deleted the saves to play the second one☹️ I hope this helps when you’re playing the game 😁 It can be really annoying if the glitch happens but remember once you have the survivor trophy you can change the difficulty to easy and fly through everything and always save before you exit the game, you’ll basically get a message saying it can’t save and if you get that, once you leave you won’t be able to load the save and would have to start a new game
@@7VemesisGames Thanks for the heads up, I have experienced plenty of crashes and glitches already and issues with saving, I'm literally saving every 5 mins now got stung a few times having to start back at the level on my hard playthrough, I just need the 2 trophies for finishing on hard and survivor without dying and using the vita chambers, tip toeing through the early levels 😅 cheers for the reply have yourself a good weekend 👍

I had a fun time doing this other day, though I was annoyed when I forgot to save after getting more than half way through Hephaestus.

i just recently beat remastered on suvivor difficulty feels great when you see the achievement numbers of how many haven't done it tbh.
And i struggle to kill anything in normal mode

It’s not really that hard in hindsight. It’s just the first two levels can be difficult because you have no Adam. As for what happens, it basically means you don’t get to use the Vita chambers so you have to load your last save if you die. So basically just save regularly and you’ll be fine.

It’s hard at the start but I think the difficulty actually begins to even out as you go on, when I fought the big daddy for the first time it took about forever 😂 but near the end you have so much tonics and plasmids that you can reliably beat him first or second try if you’re careful
Think I’ve already died about 50+ times. I only just reached the market area
My advice would be to save the little sisters so you can use hypnotise big daddy, you’ll still have to kill the first big daddy yourself and deal with the little sister but after that, there should be at least two walking around, so you can use the free one to fight the one with the little sister, and you get a nice bodyguard for regular enemies
I am playing the game for the first time, without vita, on survivor any tips
Get Wrench Jockey at medical pavilion and then the upgrades for it later in the game, use the wrench on the average enemy and save as much ammo for the tougher enemies like the big daddies, the shotgun tended to be my weapon of choice for them so I upgraded that one first.
Save the little sister’s, you’ll get more Adam in the long run thanks to the gifts from Tenenbaum along with hypnotise big daddy which can be a life saver after you’ve dealt with the first little sister as you can often find a second big daddy without a little sister who you can use to fight the one that has her. Hacking everything will also help deal with enemies and save first aid kits
I know taking photos can be a chore, but the advantages make it worth, you’ll get extra damage and some good perks, you can research security as well but only before they’ve been hacked so use the camera first.
Save the game as much as possible so you’re not restarting too far away, remember the only checkpoints you have are your saves so you could lose a lot of progress if you’re not careful.
I’ve wrote a bit of an essay here 😅 but I hope they help you get through the game, if you’re stuck on anything in particular, feel free to ask! Enjoy the game, it will get easier the more you go along, the wrench is definitely the best weapon in the game, so I really do recommend upgrading that one with tonics and such as it is the most effective weapon against splicers.

if you use telekinesis and use dead bodies as weapons its op it one shots most normal enemies like thuggish and leadhead splicers and 2 or 3 shots but dont try it on big daddies it just pisses them off and you get your ass handed to you best part is it uses like no eve its really effective and it saves alot of ammo
If you want to get out of a combat situation, I would use the decoy dummy plasmid. Enemies who throw projectiles, I’d throw their grenades back at them. To defeat Big Daddy’s, Electric Gel and Bombs is the way. If you don’t have neither at the time, use telekinesis and throw nearby gas barrels at them. They take a ton of damage. Good tonics to have are armored shell #2 and Chameleon to sustain damage and become invisible when you need to evade a little. Friend Big Daddy is also a great plasmid to gain fire support in large splicer groups. I’d also hack ever camera, turret, and weapon you stumble across so you have further assistance. Honestly, the game gives you a lot to use and many players utilize these benefits in many ways. That’s what makes Bioshock so groundbreaking, especially for 2007.
