Wow, too crazy. I was just on Fits website before seeing this! I’m 34 & your channel has inspired me to get back into BMX. For the past month I’ve been debating building a custom Fit/S&M or going with one of the Fit completes. The guys down at Empire helped explain modern BMX geometry to me & I’ve decided I want to go with a dirt jumping setup
@@Brant_Moore I actually built up a 26” ATF a few months ago & they were explaining everything then. Last night I pulled the trigger on a blue rambler frame (thanks for the code) it’s gonna take a little time before I can save up for all the parts. But in the end i think it will be worth it
This series is rad. I'm going through a similar process with a 2004 fit pro complete. I realize you're letting the users vote, but could you include some rationale in these upgrades? I can't for the life of me figure out why the chromoly 3 piece 165mm crank was replaced with a chromoly 3 piece 165mm crank before the forks/bars upgraded the hi tensile steel. It would also be cool to see how each upgrade effects the weight of the bike. I guess it might be a bit late for that now, though, but to know that the new bars shaved a half pound would be a cool progression to see it lighten up over time. Keep up the good work!
How about an overall "maintenance check up" type of video? The things you should check before riding every time and the things are an every month kinda thing?? A lot of younger riders will benefit from a how to and what to do to maintain their bike all riding season.
I have it! Haha It kinda covers everything every time so it’s less checking things in different intervals than just getting in the habit of just making sure the whole bike is always good
Looks like all the big stuff has been upgraded (the frame is always one of the last things to upgrade), so maybe the rims? These are single wall rims, right?
They indeed are single wall but they've held up super well all things considered!! I had to true the rear one but it still wasn't that bad and ended up perfectly true again.

Personally I’d do the stem next. Especially with so many Fit/ S&m options. Possibly shredneck as a FL option or a Hango or Enduro as a TL.

You can't cut dugan bars , and have brakes .
He didn't realize that that was against the law.
@@x88868 , I was going to cut my brown dugans, but I put the lever on first, then I just switched back to my cut Credence bars. He can get AME grips .
