i've noticed on other camping vids, the chimney is actually rolled the long (so unrolled then rolled so its long)that would give it less of a weak spot to bend such as what happened with yours. Lovely video and thank you for sharing
This is just amazing I'm very glad I came across this it is very interesting thank you for your time and effort health and happiness best of luck make more videos
As someone who is homeless and needs firewood to survive I’m telling you that you are doing it wrong and putting too much effort in. Find a dead tree or dead limbs then just pull off the long branches and then put inbetween two trees to break down each limb. Once you get a fire started and a few pieces catch fire and stoke up then it’s easy to dry out and burn the rest of the wood. Think smart work easy. Don’t break down the big logs! They will burn for longer! When making a fire think about it from small to big. You start with the smaller stuff and slowly increase the size you put into the fire so eventually the logs burn for so much longer and take less effort adding to the fire. When you have many other jobs to do you want the fire to be close to effortless. Awesome vid though, just giving some points. 🙂
Found your video today and liked it,, so I subscribed ❗👍 . Hello from Indiana USA and this 62 year old lady 😊😅❤❤❤. You sure were prepared 😜. Very enjoyable video
Interesting tent/ hammock setup. A possible solution to make the tent more rigid could be collapsible poles on the inside or outside. Of course the tent would have to be modified to allow the poles to attach to it. I guess the only solution for the broken stove chimney is a spare. I saw on another video about smokeless fires is to start with the biggest logs on the bottom. Enjoyed the video.
Fire and rescue train in lightning wood stove in that way, they claim is the best and most efficient way to build a fire in a stove or just for a camp fire. I'm looking at the same twnt set up, the poles are a good idea. My stove has a solid pipe so I'm not worried about that.
I've seen hammocks in tents before - yours is exceptionally well insulated. One thing I've noticed on all of your videos using a wood stove and chimney, the hole for the chimney is always huge which lets out a lot of heat. Wouldn't it be better to measure the diameter of the chimney and cut an X accordingly?
Wow awesome seems like a lot of weight to be caring around. I hate carrying large backpacks. I always travel lite ,, but then again I’m here in the desert anyway awesome.😊🌵🌵
I do like these simple ideas presented of how to put up an emergency camping shelter...teepee & captain's tent. A minimalist approach, japanese style, with no much frills & antics. I hope I can do the same here in the Philippines under heavy rains & riddled with snakes, bugs, flies & mosquitoes. Wouldn't that be more Exciting !!!
It all depends on your sleeping bag. You can have a small tarp that only covers the hammock, with a -10 degree sleeping bag and be allright in that kind of weather (not very cold)
Something is wrong, he did not remove all the snows inside the tent. And that is why it is still very cold inside. All the comments are not accurate n not useful at all. He should learn from other first before making a film like this with so many missing things.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a hammock used in a tent. Great idea.
My right ear really enjoyed this video
😂😂
Impressed with this tent/hammock set up

Yup. That's not the proper way to make the tube chimney.
Thank you for this video. Very relaxing.
❤ the lil "tootsie warmers".
Looks like an army tent

good camping
stay warm.
Berkemah, menyenangkan, meskipun kelihatan ribet.
Wow awesome seems like a lot of weight to be caring around. I hate carrying large backpacks. I always travel lite ,, but then again I’m here in the desert anyway awesome.😊🌵🌵
Still... He was carrying ATLEAST 10lbs of excess weight, IMO. A friggin tabletop? Saw in a plastic case? Sleeping booties? It was only -5°C!

I really enjoy your adventure.
Theres no place. Like home😮😮😮
Wonderfol❤
that hammock was great. would it be too cold without the tent and stove.

Good .. Nice..
What kind of snow are you using?
I like this Forrest. Where is it?
👌🙏
If you want to the tent to heat up and become warm....you need to close the door, simple concept, close the door.
Great video 👍 what was the dinner you made 😋👍🤔 interested in making some simple Japanese meals if I can get d stuff in d UK👍
Thank you. I made gyoza/dumplings.
👍
Gyoza! Yum!
I'd get all fixed up in the hammock and then I'd have to go water the snow
My comment will probably be lost but whoever reads this.. you got this! whatever you're going through will get better
No. It did not. I have suffered from reading bad comments. Now scrolling down to this, it's even worse. NOOO... my life isn't worth living no more.
I have a question....will the chimney burn the tent a bit like just to leave a bit mark there?
The material of the part of the tent that comes into contact with the chimney is special.
Has heat protection function

Why is there snow on the ffloor of your tent?
What floor? 😂
Great video and new sub here. May I ask what mountain hardware pants those are that you are wearing
Thank you very much. Yes, I wear Mountain Hardwear winter pants.

😮😊
I see everyone using their snowshoes to flatten down the snow inside the tent. Why don’t they use the snowshoe to shovel out the snow instead?
Why are you leaving the tent open so much?
you couldn't pay me to own one of those aluminum foil chimneys

As if it was a naïve series
Good VID,,,,
