- A long one in the making, I tackle a classic and underrated game with Kingdom Under Fire Crusaders. This game is about your troops more so than you, so let's see if we can make it through the crusade as the forces of good without losing a single soldier. WE CAST CURATIO!

Playing this game as a kid, I couldn't get my guys away from the bug demons the first time you encounter them and wiped. I took all spearmen the next time, and left them to die while tieing up the enemy. That worked but felt like a jerk move, so next time I took all cavalry because they can move through enemy units. That's how I figured out they disrupt the demons enough that you can just kill them all on the next eacape level.

It is nice seeing someone gush about their enjoyment of NPC allies, mostly because I completely do not understand it.
I always shy away from summoning allies, in part because it doesn't feel right endangering them, and in part because I don't enjoy outsourcing my beatings. those come from the heart, and it just doesn't feel right sending it out with someone else.
Omg you should do a deathless run of overlord: Raising Hell and Overlord II! Raising Hell is especially difficult on legendary because the minions can go in awkward places, and enemies have higher health and damage (quite a few units attacks now blow minions to bits instead of just killing them). The last boss of the main campaign and the expansion are also hell even on normal. I have never managed to done it with almost 800 hours between the two games, and i challenge you to prove yourself the best evil commander in the land!
Keep up the amazing content, and I’ll happily give tips where I can. Fully leveled up Red minions, or just all reds, on a marker are busted, small slugs only do poison damage and so greens are immune to them, and if you feel especially masochistic don’t use sacrifices in n your armor (meaning smaller horde). Thats an interesting idea! Sounds like a helluva challenge with all the instakill attacks enemies can do on you. I might look into doing overlord content at some point though they are solid ass games!
Could also do only browns or only blues runs, looking at other potential runs along those lines. Kingdom under fire archers only or warcraft archers only etc. Thanks for watching btw!
Restricting yourself to one minion type, *or* deathless right? Doing both sounds suicidal even with all my hours and love of the game. No matter what, I look forward to whatever content you make, and can’t wait to see what you do next!

I absolutely loved this game; the only thing I ever truly wished for, was the ability to replay missions for extra xp and gold, or some other method to grind for them.
Eh you could do it with Cheat Engine? Basicaly reload a save and use CE to add what you got from the mission "back".

Instant like Admiral. Just came one day in my Suggestion Feed, watched it, cause i only heared about Kingdom under Fire via Mandalore and i love it. Also that Rant at the Start is so true, about the Warriors Series, so why not make a Challange about it? A Pacifist Run in one of those Warriors Games? You cannot kill anyone, your NPCs do all the Job and you can only Heal or Buff them (if possible). Unless there is a Mandatory Kill that you have to do, evreything else is Handled by the NPC. That could be Fun^^

@@Admiral_Iddy Or a remaster or a remake or anything really :-) KoF definitely is one of those games that have spirit to them. It does what it does and it does it well enough to be memorable :-) Also I agree with you on topic of AI allies - it is always cool when player has allies that are competent and useful and can actually DO something that is not a set piece. Allied troops may not be enough to turn the tide of battle on their own most of the time, but they sure do help and they MATTER almost as much as player's own troops. KoF definitely captures feel of player being part of battle that has stuff happening without player.

@@ryancampbell454 if thats the final lucretia mission I just scouted with dirigible and cavalry to find them pesky ballistas, spam heal and pray you dont take too many hits haha there is a LOT of RNG in deathless my usual loadout for DE is Hero, orc hcav, archer, cav archer and dirigible or mammoth depending
do you intend to do kuf heroes?
While I believe deathless heroes would be impossible due to the way they changed the damage algorithm to damage over time, I DO intend to try maybe some other runs like archers only or no using your hero etc.. there WILL be more KUF but it might be a while

I have most of the footage, although a lot was unusable I might end up streaming it again to get more footage but it might be a while haha I am backed up with stuff I wanna do and the KUF content while some of my favourite stuff just doesnt get the views to warrant my attention right now. maybe controversial opinion, but archers shouldnt be able to learn curatio or have access to the heal tree. they're already strong as hell, as a unit, way too OP even.
Also one time I managed to kill all those level 100 enemies on Stormdeen as Gerald. Just got a paladin officer and taught him that heal spell that he can use mid-combat. Healing can be so cheesy in this game.
I think they tried to fix that in the... Not so great sequal... By making specific spellcaster mage units, kind of devalues paladins who are supposed to be healers.
Managed to beat the stormdeen army? Wow i thought there was an invisible wall to prevent you from trying! Do you get a mountain of experience?

absolutely! When doing deathless though I was always paranoid about needing lots of heals quickly so I often stockpiled. I usually end up with more than enough money to kit the boys out though :)
