    Thanks for covering this subject. I was always wondering what Tuggify was. I only have a 3s Typhon and replaced the stock tires with with some Pro Line Trencher. I have noticed an improvement running over grass and stuff. Everyone seems to think that its hard on the car but so far I have had no issues. Some day I'll graduate to the 6s Typhon. They are just so nice. 👍👍

    Just wanted to say really respect that quadzilla photo you got as your icon. Mines an 88 rm250 hahaha. Takes work to restore a bike. Thanks for the video man I'm building a tlr tuned typhon this way.

    Outstanding video - the other videos on this topic are good but I really like how you explain the why’s and the how’s for this modification.

      @@michaelesterberg6639 thanks guys...that means a ton to me...there are I think 3 in the series! I love how mine runs...stock tires but wider. Never rolls over like it did before stock!!

      @@nickadams6681 thank you!!! I talk a bit much but hopefully its clear. Makes a HUGE difference in stability even with stock tires.. def. recommend. I hated the typhon before as it flipped over all the time. Not anymore...even with stockers.

    I did all that to my Typhon 6s v3 and it was fun, but very expensive to do. Well this hobby is very expensive anyways, but yeah. I spent around $100 in parts plus the tires. So yeah. Not to mention the extra upgrades that I did to it like the chassis braces and rear shock tower made out of 7075 aluminum. The Typhon 6s was my most durable 6s Arrma hands down.

      Why is truggified typhon better than a kraton?

    Do you need to gear it down to not overheat the motor? Or do the original 16T work just fine? If so, how big is the difference in motortemperature between the different setups?

    I can't even get that grub screw out holding the pin in. lol I also don't want to strip out my brand new 6s v5. For my 3s it seems all I've done is found extended wheel hex to run my Badland 2.8s.

    Excellent video what about the pinion gear? It will overheat probably if you keep the stock pinion no?

    • @DariusBarazandeh
      @DariusBarazandeh 3 года назад +1

      I run the stock tires... so no problem. Nothing I've heard of this with the bigger 2.8's either.

    I’m just now doing the same convertion.
    The MX 28 proline tires are great. I also like the Louise tires. But I Don’t know wich one is the same as the MX28 and will fit. Would it be to much trouble to help me out wich Louise tire is simular to the MX28.
    It would be A great help.

    Can't you just put some hub extenders to use the bigger tires?

    • @joseCalderon1976
      @joseCalderon1976 3 года назад

      You can but that puts a bigger strain on the bearings and suspension system.

    Same mods if just wanted to use stock granite wheels?

    • @joseCalderon1976
      @joseCalderon1976 3 года назад

      Nope. Those wouldn't work because they use a 14mm hex. The stock Typhon wheels and bigger MT truck tires are 17mm hexes.
