I really like what M2 racing and Scorched RC are doing in the world of arc as as a whole but the parts that Arthur makes have never let me down. I’ve had M2C parts fail. I’ve had Scorched parts fail. I’ve had Hot Racing parts fail (not even in the same league). So far the parts I got from Kimberly (Basherqueen) have been absolutely amazing. It’s a shame she didn’t get the recognition and sales value to continue her parts. I’ve been buying parts from Vitavon since the maxx v1 came out and I’ve yet to have a failure. In my humble opinion I think Arthur Tsang makes the the most comprehensive upgrade kits for our most common bashers
Hey buddy , Ive got to say i have been so impressed with my Vitavon Parts . Ive tried a few other brands and also love them to . Very happy with how my trucks have turned out . Stay awesome Chris :)
Hey Chris, I have all those Vitavon upgrades on my Notorious. That motor mount needs a bit of work or you can’t get the motor out without removing a ton of crap! I took my dremmel and remove that been that runs down the side, the one that stops the motor from being removed, and now motors go in and out NO PROBLEM
I just built my TLR with all Vitavon and M2C I don’t care about weight either… I did cut that block bar out of the motor mount side so I can get my motor out without having to remove everything. I did the vitavon bell crank system and the front bulkhead too. I know, there is no place for the little front body piece to screw too. But a small drill hole and it goes
Chris ,I use a solid Rectangular piece of wood for a work stand .Had the one you have there and I couldn't stand it.Everytime I went to pick up the car by the chassis the stand would come with it 😮.It's only good for gently spinning ya trucks round to admire them.Keep well.✌️
Hey Jonny buddy , totally agree with you total pain in the backside to be honest with you . Yeah I’m going to have to work something out , I’ve seen the Traxxas stand and that looks big robust and stable . I’m good thanks my friend , busy busy busy as usual lol 😂 Hope that your well dude Chris 🤙💪🤘🚀👍
For my work stand I came across a speaker stand. Pyle dual speaker stand It came in a pair. It could hold up to 80lbs. Of course it’s a standing work bench which is convenient for taller guys and adjustable as well as mobile.
Hey Chris, absolutely fantastic video. Really well delivered and very easy for someone completing the upgrades to follow. Parts are very nice and super high quality. You are a blessed man to be spoiled with such things of beauty. A couple of things. Firstly I noticed you didn’t put the plastic washers back into the new hubs. Assuming you don’t need those with the new hubs? Secondly setting up the mesh. I noticed you held the pinion and rocked the spur gear. I recently researched setting up the mesh as I had been told many ways and things to do. Such as using paper etc. all of which didn’t sit well with me. For one there are many different thicknesses of paper. This made me question the mesh methods I had been told. So yes holding the pinion and rocking the sour gear. If you can hear it move even a tiny bit this is set correctly. What I didn’t see you do was turn the pinion and check it all the way round. I did last time I setup mine on my Typhon and noticed that it was actually tighter at some points than others. My suggestion is to set off the tightest point and that’s as good as you can do. Just thought I would mention it. Probably perfectly symmetrical in that amazing mount but certainly wasn’t on the stock setup when I did mine. Really enjoyed the video and watching you work. You can tell you have worked on the cars for some time, like a skilled surgeon ha ha. Last point, I have a very similar stand and I have found the best stand you can get are 2 x MT wheels. The MT8 stock ones are exceptionally good for working on cars 😂😂😂 Stay safe Chris and watch out for the post Tuesday/Wednesday this week, should get your Titanium upper pins for the Typhon.
Hey buddy Thanks for watching , Ok so the plastic washers were already fitted on the parts i put back on the TLR , But thanks for noticing bud . Its funny with Mesh setting , Especially on the 1/8th scales and larger you get used to the feel and sound of the pinion and spur rocking against each other . Ha ha thanks for the kind words about watching me wrenching buddy , Yeah ive been doing it a while now between this side of the hobby ( bashing ) then racing years ago . its like muscle memory ! And quite honestly i love working on them thats half the battle hey ! Wow looking forward to trying them out buddy and showing the world how tough your hinge pins are :) Stay awesome JP buddy . Chris :)
I had the same problem with the mesh on my kraton, it had a very tight spot going around. Once I took it apart and reset it, it was perfect all the way around. I think it had something to do with the motor mount plate being twisted ever so slightly. But you may try to readjust it to see if it fixes itself lol
That transmission case with the just bash it chassis would make a sealed center differential so no rocks or anything would get it. As much as I wanted to do this myself I ended up doing something different to keep the weight down.
@@ChriswithaCrc I ended up getting ADU motor mount and chassis, just because it's still strong but weighs a lot less than the JBIRC chassis and vitavon motor mount. Can't say much about it's durability yet though, it just got here (it's on a Kraton).
Glad you enjoyed Thanks for the feedback as well , im keeping changing up the videos buddy so you guys can see what's going on . Happy fathers day dude Chris :)
@@ChriswithaCrc and the best part is i managed to squeeze the stock 23t servo horn on a 9imod 35kg 25t servo…haha. Just used the included hex screw and started crankin. Sucked it right on. Just a little fyi.
Hey buddy , I hope that your ok , Man i was talking about you the other day to one of my good friend that i go bashing with funny enough and the wheel nut you spotted is now still on my EXB v2 . Awesome work Gonzo buddy ! Yeah the traxxas stand it looking like its a win for me to be honest yes expensive compared to others but a solid piece of kit . Time to purchase one i think as this stand just is not cutting it at all with my bigger trucks . Stay awesome buddy Chris :)
@@ChriswithaCrc Machete? Is it faster than the Super Baja Rey? I'm not sure the non American name of the rig that is the Redcat Machete for us. Speaking of Redcat do you have a Vigilante or plans to get one? It's one of my favorite rigs already. I'm looking at the 5th scale Chimera now. Trying to find of anyone has converted one to electric and how it worked out if so.
Hot racing buddy is your best bet . Or do the Kimbourgh servo saver upgrade like I did on two of the videos in my Arrma 4s playlist . Hope this helps bud , Chris 🤙🚀💪🤩
Treal, makes GREAT 7075 Parts as well, and little more affordable. 7075 is 7075, and made in China, well, is made in China. Im sure anyone here knows, you can OVER do the Aluminum on a RC, Unless, you are a Shelf Queen person.
Hey dude , yep your right some awesome parts out there for these buggies . haven't tried treal yet myself . But yep keep the weight down is a good idea keeps them nimble unless your bashing them hard. Stay awesome Chris :)

Any way you could do a video on how to properly clean the kraton 2.5 mine needs a good clean but I'm not sure how to go about doing it
Hey buddy , Sure can do that or just RCs in general .
Stay awesome , Ill get it done asap

👍
Thanks for watching the video buddy ;)

You getting a SBR 2.0 or SCX6? Not many 1/6 options out there. I love both. Is there other ones I'm missing out on?
Hey buddy nope thats not either of them .
Think faster !

I would love to try the Vigilante but unfortunately here in the UK there is not Redcat Dealers ! This really pisses me off .
So did ya just go up on your shock weight or change springs since doing this last work?
Hey buddy all i did was add some preload to the springs and it was golden .
Could you recommend a good servo servo saver upgrade for the arrma kraton 4s I would like it to handle like a race truck
Hot racing buddy is your best bet . Or do the Kimbourgh servo saver upgrade like I did on two of the videos in my Arrma 4s playlist .
