This man got the sentence that was handed down to him by a jury. I feel no remorse for this. He took an innocent life and he lost his. Taxpayers shouldn't have to pay to support criminals for their existence. That makes their crime a punishment to us.

The death penalty should be a constitutional law, it should apply to the whole country. That way criminals in states ungoverned by Democrats would not go unpunished.

Anyone who has the nerve to not only attack but KILL. a law enforcement agent, would have a second nature to violate myself, my family, friends or any other innocent person. So tell me lady. Explain when a criminal kills someone who goes to see a judge and then gets released. That criminal continues to kill other people. It happens in California, Chicago and New York.
The best way to avoid the death penalty is to not do the crime. The death penalty should be a deterrent to not commit certain crimes, so if you do the crime, you should pay the price.
If there's no doubt he committed the crime I'm for the death penalty.

Mr. Johnson murdered officer McEntee execution style. The officer was on his hands and knees. The officer was not threatening Mr. Johnson. Mr. Johnson blamed police officers for his 12 year old brother's death who had a seizure earlier that day. Attorneys for Johnson are not arguing his innocence. They requested a stay of execution claiming Johnson was given the death sentence because he was black and the victim was white. Yet, the prosecutor who prosecuted Mr. Johnson back in 2005 also recommended the death penalty when the victims were black. He didn't recommend the death penalty for Mr. Johnson because he was black or because of systemic racism. Both the Missouri Supreme Court and U.S. Supreme Court denied Mr. Johnson's stay of execution. Also, very recently the state of Missouri executed a white man for murdering and robbing an elderly couple back in 1996. Congresswoman Cori, you can't claim systemic racism every time a black person does something wrong. Where does personal responsibility come in? Mr. Johnson murdered a police officer execution style. You need to pick your battles better. With that said, I'm not a fan of the death penalty. If a person rehabilitates while in prison, shows attrition, and rids his/her heart of evil, perhaps they deserve a second chance to live. I realize the person who was murdered doesn't get a second chance at life, but life in prison is not much of a life. In some murder convictions, maybe a 30 or 40 year prison sentence is punishment enough for a person who has rehabilitated and shown both contrition and attrition. Congresswoman Cori, you got my attention when you were talking against the death penalty, but lost me when you started with the very tired argument of systemic racism.
I believe that in cases of murder rape and killing a child the death sentence is proper and without a doubt the best way to stop the criminals and you say rehabilitation works look up the data about repeat offenders when released from prison early 80 percent reoffend killing over and over and a prisoner in prison asked for it they people in prison deserve far LESS than they get free medical free food free education workout rooms air conditioning heat dental all Free do YOU get all of this for free I think not

•Jorge Avila-Torrez: serial killer responsible for three murders, two of whom were children
•Joseph Ebron: murdered two people before even turning 18. While serving a life sentence in a high-security federal prison, he murdered another inmate and received the death penalty.
•Dylann Roof: terrorist who murdered nine Black people at a church in order to start a race war
•Kaboni Savage: ordered the murders of the family of a criminal associate-turned-informant. The murders were ordered from a high-security federal prison. He committed six additional murders too.
•Dzhokhar Tsarnaev
•Alejandro Umaña: MS-13 member responsible for five murders
Listen I'm not saying they should kill this man because I don't know the details of the case, but it sounds very odd to me. That people are in a hurry to usher babies off to their deaths but stand up for men who commit brutal acts of violence.
What is it about thou shalt not kill did this guy not get? But that's just the problem nowadays isn't it? We aren't allowed to know those commandments are we?

I am not for any death penalty for 1 They have put to many innocent people on death row But I also against abortion except when child and mother's life are at risk. I don't think anyone is qualified to take another person life wether in the womb or out of the womb or any other time unless it's in self defense or to protect your family or protecting someone else's life. But I also believe that cop killers if they prove beyond a shadow of a doubt. Should get automatic life in prison without parole. Unless proven otherwise.
