Had a Judo teacher show me osoto gari variation with a palm strike to the face. As law enforcement, I've actually used it probably 5 times in real situations, and it's worked GREAT! Also, I'm a BJJ guy who wrestled from 8-18 years old, so I don't have much judo experience, but i LOVE LOVE this takedown.
Palm strike to the face?? That's sounds interesting can you explain how that works sir?
This was a very good video about the pitfalls in the Osoto Gari, thank you very much for this!!!
Excellent video explaining brilliantly many technical details, thanks a lot!
Thank you sensei, this is really helpful.
Many thanks for this video.
Good job!
Great details, especially to strike back of their knee (not the calf as I was wrongly taught).
Osoto gari is throwing technique that most gym teach to beginner but this technique is not easy.
Yeah I'm trying to work more judo into my overall wrestling jiujitsu game, applying the throws properly live is much more difficult
I did 1.5 years of japanese ju jitsu. This was one of the most frustrating things I did. And I did it horribly.
Maybe, if I knew what Nakano said in this video, it'd have been easier.
Thank you. 👍
Perfect sir!
Great instructionals..!!!!
Thanks for your comment!

Wow I do all three of these LOL
One of my sensei showed me to do Osoto Gari with the #3 mistake. He said to stop the leg there. However, my other sensei showed us Osoto Gari with the sweeping leg. Why did we learn two different ways, and is #3 really wrong?
Thanks for your comment!
Could you tell me where to find the poster with "mind" on it? The one with the person in seiza
