As a retired Editor who worked in Hollywood for decades...I commend you on your beautiful videography. It was very cinematic. I don't know how you had time to enjoy Istanbul.

Thank you so much! It really means a lot when someone acknowledges the amount of work that goes into these videos, especially from someone that was/is in the industry.
We were grateful to have two days in Istanbul, which made it a bit easier to spend time just exploring vs. filming. However, we sure are glad to have this footage to reflect back on and enjoy all over again! 😊

Another great video, thanks! Question. Does the Riviera have Starlink installed yet? If so, what king of speeds are you getting? Thanks!

I'm not entirely sure if Starlink was active when we were on the ship in November 2023, but it is now active on both Riviera and Marina. We felt the wifi was a lot better than our previous Oceania cruises, but it also depends if you are at sea or in port and how many people are using it at the time. They allow two log-ins per stateroom (such as a laptop and cell phone). I'm sure as you know, you can upgrade your wifi on the ship. We didn't feel we needed to as it was plenty for what we used it for.
      Thank you for watching!

Did you have to show your passport at the security point at the port?

No, Oceania actually gave us a piece of paper to keep with our ship card that we showed security if they asked (in Turkey). We never needed our passports off the ship. :)

Disappointed in the Izmir footage. It's a beautiful city...would like to see that.

@frankmisaege3520 We take these videos while visiting ports for a mere couple of hours while also trying to enjoy the ports at the same time. In Izmir we were searching for a dentist almost the entire time because I had a cracked tooth and my mom lost a cap. Remember, these videos are made for fun and it's not our job. Please be kind.

@@genelleandmike No worries. I've been to Izmir a number of times while in the USAF. Always liked it...friendly open port city with lots of good restaurants in a beautiful setting.
