I came home drunk from a friends house and while waiting for another friend to get to my place i decided to give this boss battle a try and ended up beating him in like 8 attempts (which is very good for me) the next day i woke up and i was so happy that drunk me took care of this boss battle for me. 😂
I now know what I must do.

Playing elden ring drunk is a genuine buff. When the game came out I beat maliketh like 10 shots deep and I don’t even remember doing it

Playing elden ring drunk actually kind of works i remembered beating Melania in 10 attemps in whist a but drunk and sobered up the moment i realized i can finally dodge waterfowl consistently.
Christ...5 hours and still stuck here
I can’t even use my mimic, AND Mesmer randomly glitches into thin air and sneak attacks me randomly. Every time I fight him my shit glitches up

That grab move is a 100% a one shot for me. And my vigor is pumped wayyyyyy up. Guess that’s the difference between new game7 and what you’re on.

tbh this boss is weird, it almost like ignores the mimic completely. I was surprised that the mimic got killed in this video, when I fight Messmer, he attacks me almost exclusively. Mimic is beating the shit out of him but as soon as I get just a bit close to him he immediately switches his attention to me.
@@Zpicismrad yeah I only tried mimic a couple times on my second play through, seems to barely help at all in the dlc especially
For me this is the hardest boss fromsoft has ever made. And I’ve platinumed every game.

More bullshit than Malenia (imho).
Its the first boss im stuck for a very lobg time … i did all the bosses on first few tries, but this one killed me like 30 times alrdeady .

Defeated this wannabe Malenia 2.0. i used dryleaf equipped with whirlwind blood. Incantation: Swam of Flies. Talisman: lord of blood, Millicent's prosthetic, dragoncrest greatshield, and shard of Alexander (shattered stone helps, too). Thanks for the guide.

My summon is so smart! Instead of attacking when the boss is right in front of him, he boosts! Thank you mimic tear!

I made it to the second phase with the Black Knife Tiche, she died not long after. I don't think my build is good enough to use the mimic tear.
2 hours still not getting better, he kept spamming delayed attacks. Probably over 50 tries now.
You can dodge every move he has it's just difficult
@@oliverwilliam6931finally after 5 something hours managed to get him. I learned his moves in only few tries but it is hard to dodge them consistently. Especially in 2nd phase where those snakes just ruin you.
Reminds me alot of the Orphan fight in Bloodborne. Just a game of memorization and tight timing windows.
I beat the orphan on the third attempt by staggering him

seriously, I'm trying to figure that out, I have more hp than everyone I've watched and I'm getting 2 shot
How do you dodge his grab? It one shots me and you can’t dodge into it or to either side because he’ll grab you. It seems the only chance you have is to luckily be far enough away when he starts the animation.

The boss looks like a cake walk when you are not fighting him in your day 1 character that's already in NG+3 💀

From Soft always does this to me. They get my confidence up, I just beat Rellana in 4 tries, think I’m hot shit and get absolutely humbled by this beast of a boss. I was trying to get strategies other than summons though.
That’s hilarious because I struggled with Rellana and had to use the greatshield boys to draw her aggro but Mesmer iv’e had an easier time once I learned his patterns. Rellana felt like her combos would just never end at all.
@@NoSyrupLeft I felt the same thing about Messmer, it seemed like there was never an attack window.
My advice to anyone struggling on this fight is to roll forward on them fast attacks then dodge the spikes then second phase just dodge and wait for ur opportunity to strike after the snake attacks

Ahh I figured it out after maybe 20-30 attempts. The key to it is exactly what I thought it was. Just get good. Fight the boss, get use to the attacks and you’ll end up winning
Bros mimic tear has so much health normally mine just dies in the first phase
Probably should not be making guides if you’re this bad at the game. Didn’t even learn the moveset at all. Just spammed roll away until they aggro’d your mimic. This is pretty much the same strategy for any boss using mimic tear so no need to make a guide on it. You literally got hit by every attack in his arsenal and didn’t showcase how to dodge anything 😂

Too bad I was on new game +5 when this dlc came out this guy was one shotting me with a lot of his attacks and 2 shotting me with the light attacks still don’t really know how you beat him thank god I made a strength bleed build tho took about 55 tries. Vigor 58 strength 80 arcane 60

True I just want advice on how to best dodge roll each attack, people already know they can use mimic tear and win they don’t need a guide for that.
Idk guys, i cant win even with mimic … never had so much problems woth the boss like with this one . Getting desperate
@@TheCroCroDil you have to trade and dodge, he has openings during his combos. it took me a while but once you learn his movesets its just a matter of time oh and make sure you have at least a 7 on skibidi fragments

So the strat is to have mimic tear do half of the fighting for you to skip the first phase and face tank everything else with a dodge here and there. Gotcha… The video literally cheesed the two hardest attacks of the fight.
