How was Paris France 🇫🇷🗼 And is it a beautiful country? I would like to know I never been to Paris, France or France at all.
Future Paris ruclips.net/video/_-Z9dLVhN6I/видео.html
I love that you guys cover logistics first and not just talk about things to do or see. There's tons of resources on the latter, but the former is not covered nearly as much when it's just as important if not more so.
+James Alarie Thanks! Yeah that was import to us, you can't enjoy the sites if you don't know how to get there!
Travel Interview
hopefully you find it fun to watch

You should keep doing videos, your a natural, not forced at all.
My wife and I recently visited Paris and we watched this video probably 10x before we hopped the pond leaving from fort lauderdale, FL to Orly in Paris and I just wanted to leave you a HUGE Thank You for making this, it sincerely helped stream line our vacation/honeymoon. The editing, camera work and monologues are always on point. Please Keep the Videos Coming!!!
Hey guys... one thing every visitor SHOULD know: the 10-cahier ticket for the metro can be split and used by multiple people ;)
+Sarah Saint-Maxent now THAT is a great tip!
+Sarah Saint-Maxent thanks , i will be coming soon
+Sarah Saint-Maxent THANK YOU for the heads up!
Sarah Saint-Maxent great idea but I going alone 😥
I am going in april, those those work for and hour and a half or two hours? Because I've seen different info about it and it is so important because my friend cannot walk long distances!
Lamborghini scene...HILARIOUS
Hahaha it really was, sorry for him he just try do it for us
Finally, a new vid guide! No fuss, straight-forward.. and quirky. Instant like.
+Cho Vittorio Iago Orlanes thank you so much!
As someone who travels to Paris for the first time, this video was really helpful. Thank you so much!
I wish I discovered your video before my trip to Paris. You are right, Parisians are friendly. I'm a New Yorker who's lived in many cities and I understand why someone from a small town would find Parisians off putting, but they simply don't have the time to chat with you like your local clerk in a grocery store. Parisians are very nice and helpful. No need to fear them.
Some really great tips here on how to get around etc. I totally agree with your views on the stereotype of Parisians. I'm a Parisian and I'm not that way. I've meet nothing but lovely helpful people here in my travels and tours. The French like everyone in the world are like butter in your hand when you are polite to them. All you need are just a few words to start and your set. Great tips.
I was there some years ago and i agree walking is the best. What I and my wife did was pick out an arrondisment or two to visit and used the Seine as our means of transport by purchasing a three day ticket for the boats that will stop at different destinations along the river. Then when we became tired we would go to a store , buy some cheese, fruit, ice cream, or wine and wait for the next boat to take us to the next destination after a ride or two up or down the river.Incidentally Berthillion was the first place we went. Incredible!
Listen to this wonderful man. He is spot on in everything he says.
Just came back from Paris and, I found the people very nice and friendly. If you greet them with a “bonjour”, thank them with, “merci”, and say goodby with “au revoir”, you will find Parisians appreciate that your respecting their language. I encountered only one Parisian who didn’t speak English and, he made sure I got to someone who could.
My visit to Paris was a chance of a lifetime. Two friends and I backpacked and took trains from Frankfurt, thru Germany and Austria with five days in Switzerland and our final five days in Paris. I agree with all you say. Soak it in, make yourself “at home”, being polite and speaking as much French as you can. People were friendly, food was delicious, sights were exciting and memorable, and it was a life-changing experience for me. 🌹
Just got back from Paris and we were very thankful we watched your Paris travel guide before we left! 6 months on, there's still no contactless payment option on the underground (but it is good value - about 3 times cheaper than London's underground!).
A great tip to avoid exhausting lines at popular attractions and museums is to purchase a visitor's pass available at most sites and many hotels. It comes in different versions to accommodate the length of your stay (it used to be available as a single day, a 3-day, and a 5-day pass option, but that might have changed since I was last in Paris in 2010) and helps fast track you at such wildly busy places as the Louvre. All you end up paying is the price of the pass and the entry fee for the place where you purchase it or first use it. Just saving literally hours to get into the Louvre or the Arc de Triomphe or the Musee d'Orsay is worth the price. It's like getting a Fast Pass at Disney World--if you've had one of those, you know how convenient it is to skip the wait. That leaves you more time to walk around, visit the many remarkable parks and gardens, settle for uninterrupted hours in cafes with friends and watch the world go by, or shop, shop, shop! Thanks for this easy/breezy and charming introduction to the most beautiful city in the world.
A must for any visitor is a boat ride on the seine. Bateaux Mouches is a great choice and night time is absolutely gorgeous. About a one hour trip. A MUST! Enjoyed your video. I miss Paris. Au Revoir
Once my wife and I decide on the next city we want to travel to, your videos of each city are always the first thing we check out...Literally, it's become our thing. Paris is next up for us.
As always, you did an amazing job. I'm noticing more comedy in this one and am liking it.
Not sure if you have picked a month yet to travel to Paris but if you go in July be prepared because it will be SUPER HOT.
My wife and I went to Paris this past summer. The city was SO nice and a lot of fun but it was very warm during the day.
Daniel Claggett we're going in November :)
It's probably going to be quite the opposite when we go.
"That girlfriend you never should have had, that mind altering meal you really couldn't afford, that after-party you had no business attending, that my friends, is Paris"........Brilliant as always! I live in Paris and Alex is spot on with everything. Bra-vo.
Best Paris travel guide video I've seen so far.... a lot of good info but also very funny! love the "clingon" part.
Thanks Krisia! You'd be amazed how many people don't get clingon thing.
My wife and I visited Paris this past july. I LOVE the city minus one thing, traffic was insane during our stay. It did not keep us from exploring the city but keep it in mind when planning your day. Like he said in the video, the city is VERY walkable. Our first evening in the city my wife and I walked down to the Louve and found a quite ice cream shop.
I also recommend learning a bit of french. Most of the people we talked to knew a little bit of english but one person I talked did not know any english so out entire conversation was in french.
Totally agree with you on the metro tickets. I asked for a multi day pass, I got individual paper tickets. Surprising for such a large, advanced city. And the doors not opening, also surprising.
Thank you for including the ways to get from the airport to the City Centre. Great job and great video.
This is such an informative, entertaining, and well edited video. Glad to finally find a video on Paris that is not just another poorly produced personal vlog.
So glad to see you are back! Love the show!
+Keep Your Daydream thanks so much!
Would love to hear your story of how your channel started. Want to come on the Podcast?? LMK...your invited!! :) keepyourdaydream.com
2:45. Thank you for bringing this point up and you are completely accurate - most people in Paris are very hopeful, they have some fine polished manners and I feel, are possibly one of the friendliest city in Europe , considering the very large Paris population and the fact that the city is constantly on fast forward, on the move, pretty much everywhere; you're right, people are very busy , moving from A to B. But regardless, thanks for raising this up for the benefit of travellers who are visiting. I believe and feel that Paris is the most beautiful city in the world and I'm not alone ! Cheers !
I just traveled to Paris just a few months ago and it was great. I love the restaurants.
+Danny Overland Such a wonderful city.
+Danny Overland You lucked out
Best travel video in the history of travel videos. Super informative and hilarious.
Merci beaucoup! I am traveling to Paris and the rest of France alone next year. I've been studying French for a year now and I'm completely in love with the culture and language. I just hope my French won't be too cringy for natives
Trust me, your french will be fine :). I went over to Paris this past summer. I know a bit of french to get by and the local were fine.
Many of the locals knew enough english to understand my wife and I if I flubbed up from french.
I've been to Paris and enjoyed it, but after watching your video I feel I need to go back. Great Job! Looking forward to season 2.
+JuraFresh Thanks so much! We're just back from filming episode 2 of season 2 - it will be a great one!
I don't know why but I come to re-watch this video every week. I know its the same thing every time but it just makes me feel like I'm there. Also, are you guys doing Rome anytime soon?
One of the most honest and informative travel video I've ever watched!
Most of our meals came from cooking bfrekfast at our Airbandb, then stopping at a Franprix or Monoprix (the local grocery stores) for lunch items, and taken to a park for picnic meals...bread, cheese, fruit, sardines, etc. and ate out dinner.
one piece of etiquette that can help a lot when you talk to a stranger is to start your conversation with this sentence:
"Bonjour, excusez-moi." or "Hello, please excuse me".
It's the traditionally polite way and the best way to show you're not disrespecting people in France.
PS: Once you actually know people or at least their name, "salut", "hi" in french, is enough.
Coming home from Paris i felt sad ( i cried for 1 hour ) i check out videos, lists, basically i research about Paris because it feels like i will go there , i also listen to french music and close my eyes imagining i was eating in the Café Du Trocadero, oh god i just miss Paris so much.
Love how real this host is lol, very relatable, unlike some who try to act more "professional" and such. I trust the advice of this dude much more than others
Thanks,Attaché! Your Paris guide was fantastically helpful for my recent trip to France!
I have visited in Paris twice. What a awesome city.
Extremely helpful info! I got across your channel during my Incheon layover. I thought CDG can't be that bad. 13 hours after, I understood why it's the most loathed airport in Europe.
you're so fun to watch :)) i love your humor. and your transition music cracks me up because it sounds like an old suspense/thriller soundtrack.
+Jam Paguntalan haha thanks! I don't think we've *quite* nailed the opening music but it makes people smile.
i went to paris last july. it was an amazing experience that hopefully one day in the future ill get to experience again. My tips for travelers who are going for the first time are: watch out for pick pockets. take the metro everywhere because it saves you alot of walking. if youre traveling to the palace of versailles arrive EARLY. Youll avoid the long lines there. Same for the louvre.(You could also take the metro to the louvre). MOST hotels, the rooms are on the smallish side(just saying).
you deserve way more views and subs. just wait they will come if you keep making these great videos. well layed out, the right amount of humor, and giving information that doesnt feel like a textbook. awesome
I've watched this video twice, once before my trip to Paris, once after. I`d say this video is pretty useful :)
My friends from USA , best period to visit Paris is August ...very cool no stress ...
Quite possibly the only touristy thing I would say: Don't go up the Eiffel Tower; pick Tour Montparnasse instead. You get to see the majesty of Paris plus Tour Eiffel. The ticket is cheaper and there are hardly any lines.
GREAT tip, thanks!
Also everything around Trocadéro/bottom of the Eiffel tower is filled with pickpockets + souvenir dealers who will try to rip you off or steal from you. You get an awesome view of the Tower from the Trocadéro but an equally good one from Pont de Bir Hakeim or from the Champ de Mars/Ecole Militaire will way less inconvenience, less tourists.
Also the Trocadéro area is residential and a waste of time if you're visiting, while the other bank has more to offer.
the only downside of your comment is that the Eiffel tower has a better river view :)
halfthefiber I'm going up both towers next week during both day and night.
David, you know it takes an average of 2-4 hours of queue to go up the Eiffel tower :P?
You're video is pretty good. I've been researching for my Asian trips to Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo so based off your knowledge of Paris, which is pretty spot on BTW, I have faith in what you said about those cities! Well done.
I like the way he presented the travel guide,, funny, short n sweet.
The city that I love!.. once day will be my wish to visit and start my French common ground speaker..
Great video not sure why some people in the comments want to focus on some same negatives. After the Paris attacks my wife and I booked a trip to Paris as a show of support for the great wonderful city.
I suppose some people in the comments sections are trolls, other are simply hateful cretins who dislike everybody note perfectly similar to themselves (be they blacks, arabs or simply french) . So they feel entitled to write falacious comments.
iconic beauty of paris city
Love paris! Just came back from my first visit. Surprisingly, every attraction I went to had only a 5-15 min wait, besides the Eiffel Tower (30 mins on a FRI before noon). While the lines may seem long at times, they sure move quick! My top tips are (1) Do NOT trust any "taxi driver" who tries to give you a ride in the airport; the real honest taxis are outside the building and can only be hailed if you wait on the official taxi line. The rate to Paris is also fixed, so look that up and don't get ripped off. (2) Often the tourist crowds clear up towards closing time (ie: Chateau Versailles & Paris Opera), so if there's too many people in your photos, come back at the end to get a nice clear shot. (Except the Louvre. That place only gets busier!)
Fantastic tips, thanks!
For the tickets: if you are going to be in Paris for (mostly) the same calendar week and will be making more than 16 trips on the Métro, the Navigo is cheaper than either 16 tickets in the center of things (individual and carnet) or daily Mobilis tickets or the multi-day Paris Visite. And if you need one of the airports, that number of trips gets cut even more. It’s perfect for tourists but was never designed for them (it’s a commuter card) so it gets scant attention on the official tourist site.
We did some research on Paris before visiting this city earlier this month, and we were warned by other visitors of pickpockets and sham taxi drivers, especially after alighting at Gare du Nord from the Eurostar train after arriving from London.
So we carried all money, bank cards, return train tickets, and passports, in our waist money belts worn under our clothing. From that vantage, it is nigh impossible for the thief to get at our valuables without us being aware of any of them having a feel round.
Result: An enjoyable break enhanced with our minds at peace.
Obrigada Frank E.Blasi pela dica, pretendo ir a Paris e tomarei os cuidados que informou!
Translation into English is required. Thanks.
"Thank you Frank E Blasi, I plan to go to Paris and I will take the precautions you suggested!"
typical entitled anglophone...
Frank E. Blasi what type of belt did you purchase? That is a fantastic idea!
I'm leaving to Paris from America in two days!!! Super helpful
Very comprehensive and useful guide to Paris. Love Paris. Will be there April for the fourth time from Australia.
You are adorably hilarious!!! 😂
So excited to go! Thank you for the tips and honestly, I already know I'm not going to want to leave.
+abientot It's one of my favourite cities in the world.
This & The Layover are the bible for traveling Paris 🤘🏻
I just spent a week in Paris on my own, and this video was a great help in terms of preparing myself. Thanks!
+Kate D I'm so glad to hear that!
love your style alex, thanks for doing this, this is your first video I watched and I know I will watch more, hope you'd continue doing this
Hey Guys, I think it would be helpful if you could also include a short segment about how to get a sim card with Data. It is always confusing but definitely necessary because roaming doesn't help.
Thanks =)
+Adam Siew that's a great point. We rented a mobile wifi hotspot in Dubai and Tokyo. We would have been screwed without it.
Travel Interview
hopefully you find it fun to watch
ruclips.net/video/66LBnuIXPRY/видео.html
Lots of hotels offer the phones free of use unlimited data. Great point!
Definitely a plus one for how to get data / sim / connect to the world for Google maps etc. Do it do it do it!!
can't wait to go to Paris! I'm going in less than 3 weeks!
+Elliot Smith what's with the Arabs you racist!
+Leen Assiry They are making the city filthy. sorry, did i trigger you?
+Elliot Smith How do you know?! Did you see 'them' yourself or are you one of those people who have gotten their brains washed by the media?! An advice I can offer to people like you is to stop with those stereotypical judgements and learn how love and respect.
+Elliot Smith i'm french and that's not real
I be going there in about 5 months :)
Wow I’ve watched lots of travel videos on RUclips, this one is the best.
If you get hungry when restaurants are closed between lunch and dinner (usually between 3-6 or 7pm), grab some street food! I went to France when I was in high school and their street food culture is amazing. If you're an American and have been to a hipster restaurant in your city, those incredibly high priced French appetizers that you paid $12-15 for are probably just a few euros in a French city.
This is a tip - top Paris guide video
No guide can surpass this Paris guide
Truly enjoyed your video, it was a great presentation , wish this was around in 2007 when I first went to Paris, had 7 additional trips since then.
Ah thanks for enlightening us to the ways of the the lovely Paris. Always of interest to see take. We'll be visiting to do a little filming on Friday so your films have helped to orientate us. Look forward to seeing more from you.
I found your channel by chance, and i have to say you guys got your show spot on..its informative..fun,,with a sense of adventure thank you!
Thanks a lot! How DID you find us? I'm always curious to know how people stumble upon us.
One word (Serendipity)..i always like to research before i travel with so many travel bloggers out there,Attache tells it without sugar coating(honest and fair) MY favourite quote is..“The man who goes alone can start today; but he who travels with another must wait till that other is ready.” ( Henry David Thoreau) What a great time we live in were we can get on a plane and almost go anywhere we wish! problem is i am a dreamer and a romantic,i believe it takes a special kind of person to go alone in the wilderness and absorb the beauty of nature, thanks to Ibn Battuta .Marco polo ..Christopher Columbus..Xuanzang..Captain James Cook..Charles Darwin.etc.and for the Millennials..ATTACHE is a good start!
dude, every information you shared was very much helpful for my first time trip to Paris ..thank you so much !!
You are refreshing! And funny. Great content! Loved this video!
Thank you for this video. It's got a lot of good info for my first trip to Paris. I'm going to have to rewatch to catch everything.
Great videos guys, I really like your work and love the presentation. It's funny, informative and easy to watch. I first saw your Barcelona one and that was really handy. Thanks for all your awesome tips!
+Arty Miss Thanks! We have so much fun doing it.
I cant wait to go back to Paris. Especially to have a nice dinner and sweets from Laduree!
Really enjoyed your Paris video. Looking forward to seeing more from you guys/gals. Informative and entertaining. I'll be back in Paris in 7 months.
+Timothy Brush thanks so much! Have you had a chance to watch our other vids?
Watched the London one. A nice presentation, not stale or just covering the basics.
I like your videos. I live in Paris and I think that the most attractive feature of this city and country in general is it's history and culture which makes some famous landmarks such as Chateau de Versailles and it's gardens are worth visiting. The CDG airport is not that bad, but the public transportation to get to both airports sucks.
I'm Interested in Thailand. Can you do a travel guide for Bangkok?
cheers
One of the places to visit frequently...
u does the best travel guide
natural , impressive presentation
honestly
Can't wait for season 2!
+ChrisQuartz IT BEGINS!
Attaché :D
Attaché Check out South Korea, My home town.
You should go to The Basque Country. It is in Spain and France. The culture is amazing and the food is the best youll have. There is a ton of history, food, culture, and dance.
Wonderful country ❤️❤️
Paris i'm in love
Great video, great advice.
Thank you!
Wonderful video..Now you made me want to visit Paris ..And honestly you are the only one on youtube that makes videos with such a great quality, humor, and informations..But I have one question is it good to visit Paris in January..??
+καποσ κατιτι thank you so much! Paris is great all year round but it will be a little cold in January.
I love your different approach to city guide and topics you choose to highlight. What do you think of adding brief notes about visitor SIM card and mobile data situation in each city for foreign travelers?.
Great guide! Can't wait to shop in Paris!
I live in Paris and watched the video out of curiosity, it's very good ! People can be rude and the subway is not the best, sorry about that fellow travellers. Hope you'll enjoy the city, I really enjoyed the video, made me look at it with a fresh eye :)
+Mathieu Augé thank you very much, I really appreciate that. Paris remains one of my favourite cities.
Unilingual english speakers can be rude without knowing .This is because they often think that it is granted to be served in english .A little introduction in the native language will sometimes avoid you some rude attitudes.
Going to Paris this summer. This video is very helpful. Thank you!
I live in Paris. Your little film was very good.
No McDonalds taste test?
Really enjoyed visiting Paris for the first time earlier this year. My tip: Go to the Louvre early. Super early. The queues are mind-bogglingly huge. Hit up the gorgeous Greek and Roman sculpture sections (Venus di Milo, anyone?) and skip the tiny Mona Lisa, which will invariably be behind a crowd 10 people thick swinging selfie sticks around.
+LordGrimmie Dammit, hoping no one would notice!
Great tip re: the Louvre!
Those people with selfie sticks in front of the Mona Lisa were driving me insane!
you should go to the Mona Lisa but instead of looking at it you should turn around to see the painting opposite from it. its called Wedding at Cana by Paolo Verones and it is MASSIVE and amazing.
LordGrimmie i
No, you should go to the Mona Lisa.
Wow! I can't believe i just discovered this channel! Awesome! Hope to see more videos!
+Captain Yang Thanks so much! Be sure to subscribe!
Thanks for making me laugh and reduce my cortisol level while I try to figure out my solo travel trip to Paris!
Last spot was killer
Well...my trip to Paris is exactly 30 days from today...and I don't know what to do any more..! Excellent guide, even though I'll probably never use it
did you not hear what happened in Paris!
...
+888 Losers Of course I heard what happened...hence what I said at the end of the comment
Navigo pass is really the best!
Thank you for finally clarifying the transportation (paper ticket) situation for me!
we are going to paris for 4 weeks May 2016 great tips on your video .thank you
+shosh sharet awesome, enjoy!
hi i really like the way you made your videp about Paris, i m gone share it on my facebook page to share it with my friends in usa . thx
I agree i find Parisians quite nice , & we go everywhere
Video yang sangat keren..

Kota paris yang sangat maju...dan makmur..
Saya sangat suka video ini...the best
This is SO useful! I would have been trying to figure this out all myself. Great job
And yes, when we were there, it was Sunday too and shops are open. :)
