Ott, can you do more videos where you are teaching us as you fish. When you were talking about the area to fish alone the steep bank it made so much sense. 🐟🎣
This style of video is great! I think we learn as much from hearing you teach someone on the boat as they do! Do more of these, very helpful! Good luck this season!
Ott, you certainly are a thorough teacher, and what a great opportunity for Daniel to learn from his own boat on boat positioning , I’ve fished a Shad Rap for decades, and I am so glad to watch your cold water techniques and I have a collection of the OG Slims, and Tiny’s, Thank you 🙏
Ott your one of my favorite fisherman actually you are my favorite. I love how you always put God first, and how humble you are. I think it's awesome how you help people and show them things that will make them be a better fisherman. Your an AWESOME PERSON. We need alot more people like you in this world. Thanks for always being so kind to your fans and just everyone in general. God bless you sir and your family.
What is your fav colors and sizes of shadrapp do you use on our lakes such as norris douglas and Cherokee if you dont mind saying thanks for all the videos
Ott that’s the same Tiny color I was able to find in the store! Thanks for posting this. I learned a little something about how deep to setup based off the running depth of the bait. 👊 +2 👊
Just checked out your church, Lyons Creek Baptist Church on RUclips. Watched last Sunday's message, The Good Shepard. I enjoyed the message very much and subscribed. During the service I happened to notice you and your family seating on the front row. I enjoy your videos and hope you will do more videos where you fish and teach.
I enjoy watching these videos just as much as watching B.A.S.S live. I grew up on the St. Johns river down in central FL and moved here just a few years ago. These videos are very informative to learn from. I am lost in water over 5 ft deep lol.
Ott, I really enjoyed this video! I think we all would love more like this where you take Daniel out and teach different styles throughout the year. As always, brother, keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see you out this season!
Ott, nice video....watching and listening to you explain what you are doing fishing these Tennessee lakes was good info for me to use when I go to center hill and dale hollow.
Love this style of video. Hearing your thoughts as you find em. 7:37 call your shot was nice! My dad pretty much always has a shad rap tied on. Probably caught hundreds of fish on them over the years in all conditions.
I'm new to the shad rap at 40 yr old ott ,this has kinda give me a different view on it I'll pick it up make a few cast then put it down I think I need to lock it in my hand and learn it thanks for the tips man..
It's funny I've fished that first point you started the video with multiple times and never got a bite... Also never threw the Shadrap until recently. It's amazing how the right bait/presentation for the conditions that day makes such a difference. Great video!
When water temps are that cold I really like to use my rod to slowly drag the Shad rap across the bottom. You can really detect the bites better I think when using the rod to slowly move the crankbait across the bottom. Shad rap is definitely one of my favorites to catch bass in cold water. Silent and tight wobble really shines in winter time
I remember that exact point in your opening on Douglas. I caught two massive drum chasing bait on a jerkbait. Thought I had some trophy bass. Dang drum.
My brother has absolutely whipped my butt with a shad rap before. I threw everything and the kitchen sink and he was just chunking and winding an SR-4 and catching em. lol. Since then, I've got a little collection of them and lost the ego about throwing a little crank bait on a spinning rod. I flat out works sometimes when the fish are finnicky.
Great instructional video!!!👊🏻 I have the Shad Raps but really didn't know the proper way to fish them. Thaks for teaching me the proper way!!👍🏻 In the video you said something about the depth dive of the bait +2, kind of lost what you meant by that. Could you explain it ? Thak you!!!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!!!
Just waiting for you to ask me to go to Douglas with you too…. I know you start the new tournament year before long and very willing to wait until you have the time. I don’t know where the bass are but do know where the craps are.
Hey Otter! Man I got a question I have always wanted to ask you and is probably gonna be a tough one lol but what size Shad rap is your favorite for the spring?? Thanks for another awesome video!
Hey ott do you find that fish hit the shad rap more when it’s not bumping bottom. Last year was the first time I used the shad rap and most of the fish hit when it wasn’t hitting bottom and almost at the boat

Lucky kid getting to go out and learn about Jesus and fishin! Great stuff Ott!
What a great video. The co angler was a great audience surrogate. And the single lure lesson was primo.

Daniel is the man!! Took him over to the Holston last year I believe it was in the kayaks, kid crushed them on a crank, broke his PB twice I believe!!
Awesome video Ott! Lot's of good tips through out and amazing how the shad rap puts the fish in the boat
perfect day to throw shad raps. thumbs up
Enjoyed the video Ott!! My favorite cold 🥶 water crankbait.
Great video, appreciate the educational aspect of it 👍
Great video. Love that you are sharing your fishing knowledge and your faith with young people.
I'm new to the shad rap at 40 yr old ott ,this has kinda give me a different view on it I'll pick it up make a few cast then put it down I think I need to lock it in my hand and learn it thanks for the tips man..
Great content. Usually people who are the best at their crafts have a hard time teaching it. Not the case with you man!
Great video 📹 👍 thanks for sharing 👍
Great video! The shad rap is one of my favorites. I have been catching them on a #5 around here.

This is a super helpful format! Loving these on the water lesson type videos.

Great day of fishing. Shad rap and tiny doing the job.
Very good video. Even a seasoned pro like me learned something!!! Ha kidding of course. But still learned something for sure. Keep up the work.
Great video, thanks a ton Ott!

Been bass fishing for bout a year, and this was amazing! I learned a ton, seriously!!! Thanks

Teaching lil Daniel the trick to the home pond! Absolutely can’t beat a shad rap in the winter-march on the TN chain. Especially on ole dougie!
Hey Otter! Man I got a question I have always wanted to ask you and is probably gonna be a tough one lol but what size Shad rap is your favorite for the spring?? Thanks for another awesome video!
The 6 is my favorite. Casts the best and gets to about 6’.
How is Douglas fishing now after the flood came thru?
My friends live on that lake. Im from Michigan. Me and my boy want to come fish that place. Been there a coiple times but never fished it
What color is the Shad rap you were throwing with the dots in the back? It looked tan or cream colored.
cant go wrong with shad rap. OG slim is the shit too. Thanks Ott
Hey ott do you find that fish hit the shad rap more when it’s not bumping bottom. Last year was the first time I used the shad rap and most of the fish hit when it wasn’t hitting bottom and almost at the boat
Awesome why to learn on the water school with one of the best God bless i appreciate that you give time to others (FISHING SCHOOL) 🙏
@OttDefoe What's your line setup for the shad rap?
What's your favorite size shad rap for Douglas and Cherokee in Spring??? 5,6, or 7
Do you guys prefer Douglas over Cherokee? I have fished them both around April /May and did better at Cherokee.
What was he using before he switched to a shad rap 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Do you use the line clips on your crank baits for a quick change or does it give better action?
Only have to be 15? In Tennessee?
Line size ? Rod? Snap or direct tie?
Any tips on fishing water temps between 35-39?
Slow jerk bait fishing. Very small twitches. Blade baits and damiki rigging too
@@OttDeFoeFishing thank you
What size line do you like using? Do you prefer the #5 or #6 sharp rap?
I am hoping to retire to this lake....it's always been our home away from home!!
Anybody else notice how low the lake was? The docks were WAY up on the shore.
Winter draw down.
If I had to pick 1 lure to fish and 1 only it would be a shad rap. Probably a #7.
Tenn?
Yes
That kid is very lucky
Rapala quality is terrible these days. I cant tell you how many bills on baits that have cracked , sheared off or just plain came off.
You know he just put in a 1k order for raps on Bass Pro 😂😂😂
Yeah they probably like his color more not that he’s just out fishing because he’s one of the top two or three fisherman in the world lol
A man will find every excuse in the world to explain why you're catching them and he ain't won't he? 🤣🤣
Your the greatest and keep the videos coming and may God bless
Thank you!
