Love the videos with you and the kids. Almost gets me teared up a little because I remember all the times me and my dad fished together. He passed away in 2016. God knows what I'd give to fish with him one more time.
Came across this and was so pleased to see someone fishing in my backyard. Born and raised in this river and 5 minutes from where you put in the boat. Sunday kayak fishing for us and always glad for me people to enjoy our little piece of heaven. Thanks for sharing and glad to have anyone who wants to come fish here and I'll probably sell you some snacks and drinks before you start lol
Grew up fishing this river. When belly boats were first introduced many years ago I bought 2 and fished from N.C. down to Allen's bridge below the Greene Co. Dam for 30 years. Miss this river a lot.
Man that looks like a great place to go wade fishing. I grew up in South Eastern Kentucky and fished the Cumberland River, it's got some really big smallies in it, I've seen many fish over 5 come out of it and a few over 6. We also use to wade the Clinch River it use to be loaded with big smallies, been probably 25 years since I fished it. Thanks for being back some great memories! Semper Fi from an old Marine
Ott love watching all your videos especially the jet boat videos in the different rivers. I kayak some rivers here in WV and watching you go through shoals that a kayak would drag in is insane. I'm learning new ideas and techniques from you on river fishing. I love using kayak to get to shoals and get out and wade them. It's awesome to see the kids out enjoying the fishing and excitement of running that boat. Me and couple buddies come fish Chickamauga couple times a year. Wishing you the best and hope you win every tournament. Be safe
Wow, what a beautiful setting; it looked like you two had an amazing time. The production quality of this video was outstanding; probably as good as I have seen on your channel. Loved that split-screen! It's always nice to see you fishing with your family; I think you should consider doing a future video on how to introduce a young person to fishing. Thanks so much for sharing this with us, Ott.
This is awesome. I'm glad you and your son can go out and have such a great time together. Exploring new water is always fun. Making memories is just as important as catching the fish. Tight Lines!
That's awesome you and your young'n fishing together! Me and dad fished together on the Nolichucky back when I was about ur boys age. That was the one thing me and Dad enjoyed together, all the way up till he passed . Me and my buds use float tubes to fish the Chucky now. Got a tunnel hull, I also fish Kingsport. Got an extra tube if'n u would want to go, give me a holler.
Ott, you’re a blessed man. My son does not enjoy bass fishing with me. He says it’s boring. I have got him hooked on Salmon fishing but we only do that once a year in NY. Enjoy your videos.
Lots of jet boats on the lower end from the Greenville dam down, we see 6-8 together just riding up and down the river. Fishing has really gone downhill over he last 40 years. Back in the day we caught so many big 4-5lb SM we would quit because our arms were tired, now we're lucky to catch 1 17-18" a day with most being around 12"
Ott, I would have loved to have had my dad go fishing with me but never happened. However my oldest brother would take me to some small city lakes when I was a kid. Loved this video. Did the eagle ever get his meal? Great camera work! God bless you and your family. 🙏🎣
Had to laugh when you told Parker to watch for snakes. Use to wade the North Fork of the Holston above the split at Kingsport. Nothing like being in waist deep water & watching a big snake float by about 2ft away. 🐍 🏃 Surprised you didn't get a hit from one of the Chuckey's muskies. Thanks for sharing. 🙏 🇺🇸
I would like to see you break down south Holston, it's one river that normally always produces nice smallies. Or come to boone and catch some monster striper. Awesome video love seeing places I grew up fishing and how others fish them.
It’s cool seeing you fish basically my back yard. I was just fishing there last week. Maybe try even farther up the nolichuckey and put in at the erwin highway bridge. It’s got some nice shoals and they just put the boat launch in the past two years so not a ton of people fish it.
That boat is 🔥 Ott! Need to tell tracker to make there grizzly’s more bass boat ready. Change the interiors for rod lockers and storage and make a 19-20ft model be game over!
Im a river fisherman my brother inlaw fishes with your cousin. Id love to see you fish the new river. You could put your boat in above bealsby dam and fish the water between Galax and fries va. I work with Abraham at volvo a friend of yours
@@OttDeFoeFishing Yep there are some biggins here with a couple of small lakes off the main river that have an abundance of shad. The river itself is deep with slow moving current. Tied if not better than Beech Creek for toads. 👍
Hay there is red hoarse yellow sucker and hog sucker and some others but them three are fantastic eating they are Bonny but if scored and properly cooked right one won’t have any bones if you all are interested if you want to take like a Christmas Vacation to southern MO we can go and gig them
If you will send me the address, and name, of the organization you made the donation to, plus the amount of your donation, I'll match it. As proof that I came through, I would be glad to send the money directly to you, or ask the organization to notify you of my donation. Oh, by the way.....I'm an avid fan.

Ott you are a blessed man and cool father! You son genuinely loves being with you, cherish that ok? Great vid and trip, my backyard

Awesome buddy! Can’t wait until my boys are old enough to be fishing
Imagine your dad is a live-in fishing guide, Ott Defoe! Awesome to see kids out enjoying the great outdoors.

Awesome stuff.
Little man sets the hook like Swindle.
He drops the hammer on em.
The boat ride was almost as fun as catchin the river smallies! Great video!

My son is the same. Doesn’t have the bug like me.
That’s the way I started fishing with my Dad and Pap paw, great memories. That’s is making lifetime memories. Thanks for sharing.
Great adventure with your son! Making great memories.
That's a good stretch of river where you are. I wade at the camp site where the bluff on the left up stream from the boat ramp.
This is so freaking awesome exploring river with your son = priceless ! Thoroughly enjoy these jet boat videos Ott!
Great video Ott and Parker. Sure makes me miss home and fishing the east Tennessee rivers! Thank you for posting this.
Hit this stretch of the river a lot!!! Awesome video
Heck y’all that’s the noli-chunky river!!!
Love videos like this! You can learn fishing and how to enjoy instructional father son time.
This is my home town river and we floated and fished this part of the river on kayaks just the other day. Awesome video!!!!!
Man what a time!!! Yall got awesome looking rivers up there!!! All we got is mud rivers here!! Fun fun!!
Proud of you OTT, you’re a good Dad.

So awesome a great day of bonding and catching fish. No much better than that. Come up to Boone or South Holston sometime and we can fish together.

Love these videos
AWESOME VIDEO
That eagle said I want your lunch money 🤣🤣🤣
It's great smallmoutb fishing but the further up you get the more dangerous it becomes, particularly around the Chukey area and back up.
Would a flat bottom boat with a outboard jet go up though that
you been hangin out with Montgomery to much..........."Gawwwlleeeyy""
my river. i work for a rafting outfitter on the upper Noli//gorge && fish it daily ❤️
Why no shallow water anchors on your boat? To much weight?
I FJSHED ALOT OF THE COLUMBIA AND SNAKE RIVER IN WASHINGTON STATE , LIKE RIVERS WOULD LIKE TO GET A BOAT LIKE YOURS .
I don’t think I would ever be bold enough to run a shallow River like that (especially new rivers).
What trailer is that on Parker’s chatterbait?
Just a few more miles north of there at Kinser Park you would have been in 6-8 lb largemouth territory.
Really? I’ll have to try it some time!
@@OttDeFoeFishing Yep there are some biggins here with a couple of small lakes off the main river that have an abundance of shad. The river itself is deep with slow moving current. Tied if not better than Beech Creek for toads. 👍
Chatter bait huh what size and model
If you ever want to fish the upper upper nolichucky give us a shout. We fish way above the dam/spillway
Would I be able to run a similar water way with a factory grizzly 1754 with just a jack plate and jet outboard?
Yes you would. That would run safe in 6” maybe less.
Does your boat have a tunnel for the jet?
Yes it does.
You had to stop competing bc he kept cooking you OTT. I see you buddy lol. Mr World Champ
any idea what kind of drone that is?
It’s a mavic
