We are adopting CKLA for next year. We will keep Fundations to teach our phonics concepts and will only add CKLA Knowledge for the read aloud pieces.

For math do your students do a worksheet every day after the lesson? You fit in so much and I love it! Time is my biggest enemy and I just don't think I could fit in the activities that you do plus a worksheet.
I would say about 75% of the time we do fit in some quick, independent practice so I can check in! Sometimes, depending on the lesson, we run out of time so I might fit it in somewhere else (like a kick off the next day or during our WIN block)

Hi Susan! I just want to tell you that I have purchased and used so many of your resources. They are all AMAZING! have a membership to your writing club and I am starting on poetry with my class. I know you said you would be adding the poetry slides in the summer, but I was hoping you could share them now. It would be a great start to the unit and I know my students would enjoy it. We are in the same process looking at programs. We also looked at Wit and Wisdom. It is aligned to Fundations, which I believe you said you are already using. For K-2 they use the Geodes books which are also aligned to Fundations.
Personally, I would love this option but as of right now it doesn’t look like MA will approve Fundations so when we look at Wit and Wisdom we would have to pair it with something else!

Are those erasers in your whiteboard? Where and which one exactly???
Do you create your phonics slides or are they a part of your Fundations materials? If you create them, is there somewhere to get them? I’m a member of all your clubs but I don’t think I remember seeing the slides for phonics. Oh and happy belated birthday!!! 🎉
Hi Susan, I purchase your bundle of Daily Math Talks k-2 last year off of TPT. I can see where the bundle was updated on 4-6-24 and I was wondering if there shouldn't be an 'update' or 'renew' button somewhere that I need to click on? Thank you!
Hi! All you will need to do is re-download the bundle and you'll grab all the new ones!
Do you teach spelling and how do you assess? Do you do a traditional spelling test with a list to practice?
We teach spelling in relation to reading. So with every new phonics pattern we learn, we learn to decode and encode the words at the same time! At the end of each Fundations unit, we give a dictation test to see how well students have mastered the concepts.
