Beef, can we get an Etho alter-ego "Ladders?" The moves are "Go up" and "Go down."
Go down does the same as Extra flee perhaps?
Both moves allow for Ladders to physically move where he is on the card display.
Go down: lowers enemy health
Go up: heals own health
good idea and good humor
What about Etho Slab as the player card and the ladder can be an effect card that gives Etho slab an extra special ability while being a normal effect for other player cards?
As far as nerfing Mumbo - maybe if you get two tails, the mechanism backfires and explodes in mumbo's face - doing massive damage to himself
Yeah this may make it not too op and brings in that gambling part of tcg to mainstream. I second this suggestion.
Actually good idea and funny thing to witness in game
@@noahedwards3090I suppose he would just have to add it below.
Getting two tails is already punishing enough even without the opponent using armor effects. My balance suggestion is that instead of double damage, it simply does +20 damage for each afk prankster type on the board only if you roll no heads. This way you can deal 120 damage at max but can also use afk pranksters to add to the damage if you get an unlucky both tails.
@@nimamaster6128 Yeah the problem is the "double damage" rule. It's just simply too much. Either that or make it so that card has little health so it's a real glass cannon card.
Doc begging "please don't nerf me" was so funny
I love how Mumbo, a card whose special move was meant as a joke, has turned out to be the backbone of a game breaking strategy
Unsurprisingly "total damage doubles if is in play" is incredibly strong. Card would probably be balanced without the x2
Hawkeye: When playing a bow card with this attack, attach the bow card to Hot Giys equipment slot. It is no longer discarded after use.
It's reverse armor
If you still need more PVP cards for the Alter-Ego expansion, I'd suggest 5am Pearl and GeminiSlay -- they're both perfect for the PVP set ^_^ I know Pearl's 5am alter-ego was more of a Life series than Hermitcraft, but it's become kinda iconic for her haha! -- just make sure you include Tilly in the art! :D
Should definitely add one for Shady E
or Ergo!
Shady E will clock up the opponents active hermits empty item spot(s)
Or Ladders!
@@Danny-wd8bh isn’t that already in the game?
@@hellatras.hI feel like Free Glass as an item on its own would be kinda cool too lol
One way to balance Mumbo for the tourney is to make him count as an ultrarare for the deck composition rules
That card is busted lol
Your making count as ultra rare would be way more balanced
Even as an ultra rare, it's still too overpowered. Nerfing it is the only good option
@@xnopyt647 Like making Quite Simple cost 3 and making Mumbo an Ultra Rare.
No mumbos allowed = they're allowed to have one :)
Omg lmao of course it was Etho. It's extra funny because he said those fortune books were good and Jev wrote them off as mid or worse. I love it
Literally, etho always finds a way
It's extra funny if you follow Etho for a long time you know him been breaking games before he even got to RUclips.
Renbob is a must. He's been here 4 seasons!
Gem or Pearl having their Empire alter-egos would be fun. Or 5AM Double Life Pearl who'd be more powerful when there's no AFK hermits on your team.
That 5am Pearl idea is brilliant!!
Poultry man - all empty afk spots become chickens. They have ten health and can use peck for ten damage. You can choose to attack a chicken instead of the opponent or switching hermits.
Thats insanely broken
Interesting...
Maybe a rule for that moves effect is:
Can't use effect until all chickens are removed.
And/or plus 2 extra turns.
They would have to not count as reward points.
@@scottscanlon8540 I mean obviously.
@@julianemery718 that would be op. Maybe -10 damage per chicken?
Honestly, I think it would be kind of interesting to have a hermit who's special attack combos with its own normal attack. For instance, HotGuy's Hawkeye attack could be powered up if the previous turn's attack was Velocité.
Great idea
Zedaph's "sheep stare" + Pearl's "aussie ping" can hard counter the Mumbo prankster deck in my experience. I've also seen pure farm type decks that obliterate people with Tango's "extra flee" attack.
TBF Pearl Aussie Ping + Farm Joe's Time Skip counters practically everything
If you wanted to encourage hermits to play multiple types in their decks (instead of mono prankster, mono terraformer, etc), you could create new item cards that count as double. (For example: a chest boat item card would count as EITHER an Explorer Item OR a Miner item. And a minecart serve as either a Miner item or a Farm item). By making these new cards Rares, you can limit them to 3 per deck, so that they're not OP. Boom, now players are more encouraged to play 2 or 3 different kinds of hermits in their deck.
I don't see why it couldn't be "and" instead of or. Would be a touch stronger than the doubles I guess. But so many combinations!
I'd be interested to see an effect card(s) that changes a hermit's type, maybe.
hoping we get a RentheKing card? 👀 Potat Man for Mumbo would be great too.
Nasaaah, Ren-Bob for sure!
Poultry man?
Still say "Dungeonmaster" for Tango, which his 90's frosty tips and all. XD
Poultry man would be good too
What if "alter ego" cards had a special feature - if you have a hermit and their alter-ego on the board, switching between them could be a free action?
I cannot wait for the Worm-Man alter-ego card! Not that I could tell you who's alter ego it is, it's definitely not Zedaph though.
I lov wormman I wuold die for hm
The game with doc is so meta, I love that so many people are loving this and spending time thinking and plotting about it
For the hotguy card, I'd make it so if a bow is used, the hawkeye attack can hit any opponent card of the user's choosing (including afk cards)
I feel like the black cards should be like the extra deck in Yu-Gi-Oh. In that when you have a Cleo up you can switch her out (send her to the discard pile) and summon the black card version.
Would be cool, would be interested with Grum-bot in the future
it's gonna be interesting because Grumbot can act like a fusion card that requires a Mumbo and a Grian to be summoned. and the Boomer and NHO can also get their own fusion version.
But these cards were made to balance existing game, not to make entire new type
Extra deck would require summoning conditions to be balanced which is really hard to implement now, or else a normal Hermit card would automatically be a black card as the player would swap out instantly. Let the black cards be draw like normal cards, but require to summoning on top of the normal version (discard the normal card and replace it with the black card)
Hawkeye: Deals extra X (perhaps 50) damage if velocite was used previous turn
Grumbot: an attack can be glitches and another could be LORE. Grumbot can effect the hermit using him or the opposing hermit. Grumbot can have the health of 180.
Season 8 CEO Mumbo could be a PVP card. Peace love and plants as primary move, and End crystal as 2nd move: full damage to opposing hermit, 1/2 damage to adjacent hermits, and 1/2 damage to the S8 Mumbo itself. Or add an end crystal item card.
Joke idea for a hard counter card for mumbo:
The Bicycle - one use effect card. When played, it forces the opponent to discard any mumbo on their board along with any attached cards. Mumbo doesn't count as defeated for victory points because he's not beaten, just off to a biking trip across the continent :P
Hawkeye: you may equip a single use bow card to increase this move's damage by 40 and allow attacking any hermit
this.
Too OP
Or Hawkeye could just double the damage of bow or crosssbow .. they still go on afk and active hermit as intended but just with double the damage
Too OP
or hawkeye just make any card with bow in its name return to hand instead of discard pile to make hotguy always have a bow ready to use
04:53 You can hear the exact moment DocM's heart fell into pieces
For real, this man, with netherite sword and a fellow prankster, can one shot everyone first round
You don't have to go and use a netherite sword. Just put a bunch of TNT in your deck.
@@pinakijana9479 netherite sword is just better tnt why would you not use it over tnt if you could, or have both.
@@ninjakirby777 Netherite sword is an ultra rare card. You can have only 3 ultra rare card in your deck, on top of that you can't have two of the same card. But TNT is a common card, so you can have as many TNT as you want and you save your precious ultra rare slots for other ultra rare cards like the clock or fishing rod or the ultra rare Etho.
Edit: You can't have as many TNT. You can only have 4. Still better than 1 Netherite Sword imo.
@Luis Suazo When you're playing prankster deck and doing 160+60/240+60 damage per turn, a mere 20 damage to yourself doesn't matter much. But if you insist, you can just put a common iron chest plate on.
I have been playing prankster+ultra Etho deck for a week now (without the Efficiency, Looting books trick), I have like 70-20 win-lose ratio. If you're worried about a mere 10-20 damage you're not playing the prankster deck right.
You can't use the Efficiency or Looting trick in the online version cause they have limits on the rare and ultra rare cards. That's why TNT is your best friend.
@@pinakijana9479 is there not a 4 card limit for commons?
Rare docm: does 160 damage on a BEST case (100 on average).
Rare mumbo: does 160 damage on AVERAGE- and one-hits literally everything on a best-case with a good enough Sword, Axe, TNT, or anything of the like.
Doc likes to defend it and claim it's not THAT broken, but if you simply look at average damage output, his max HP, and how easy it is to get him fully powered up, it's overall the strongest hermit by scores.
That Doc game is so interesting from a meta perspective - Mumbo is obviously the broken element but there's so much going on in the strat that could be contributing to the overpoweredness. The Mumbo itself just feels like a numbers issue (doubling on every successful flip is insane - maybe paring it back to a flat boost of +30 or +40?) but the feedback loop of Chests and Fishing Rods feels very dangerous in terms of mitigating the luck factor with card pulls. Perhaps a new effect card in the expansion could disrupt a large hand in some way? I have an idea:
Creeper (single-use effect card)
Both players must discard half of their current hand, rounded down.
All the subtlety of a sledgehammer, but could be effective against an opponent with a snowballing hand! Would play similarly to a Flint & Steel in that it benefits an empty hand.
----
While I'm here, here's another card idea - I was thinking about the concept of board positioning and cards that affect adjacent hermits, and I came up with this bow themed card:
Multishot (single-use effect card)
+20 damage on attack to the AFK hermits directly above and below the active one.
Agree on Mumbo. The real problem is that the damage is doubled. It should simply +40 if another prankster is afk. That would do a max of 160, still powerful, but not far beyond other cards.
Suggestion for hawkeye: Bow can be used on everyone and it destroys armor.
Everyone plays with netherite armor at this point, Bdubs is ultimate tank with it. Also healing potions help. I think we need armor destruction mechanic
Suggestion for Cleo's betrayal: 00 dmg You take control of oponent's afk for one turn with all his attachments and make a move with him (like if he is 20 hp, you use tnt to finnish him and get a point anyways. You can use it's special ability for your advantage)
Also for a reason in not making Hotguy useless without bow, let's say... Other option for attack could be... Being able to deal half of damage to afk... And balance it to not being able to play single use cards during this turn.
Love this
For Mumbo balance: if you have another prankster your roll will add 60 dmg instead of 40 or just add another roll would work as fine i think. It oonly changes description of card and nothing else so...
I would like to see an effect where every Bow or Cossbow card does double dmg when used with hot guy. And if you use a bow or crossbow to dmg an afk hermit it also does the 80 on top of it. I think is very fitting for scars alter ego. For it is like he is swooping in and shooting any unsuspecting hermit. Mb he can also attack the same round he comes in when you play a bow or a crossbow. Yes it sounds a bit OP, but he is "A" an alter Ego card and "B" there are not many good explorer Hermits as far as I know. Or wait what was Joe again?
Beef, it's not just Mumbo who's too strong, it's Stress too. I recommend making it so you can't use her Yolo move if it would immediately end the game, that way you have to use it strategically and the opponent can play around it.
One thing Doc didn't mention is that you can play Clock on turn 1 with Stress and just win the game immediately if they only played one hermit. And if they play two hermits, that's a mistake, because now you can use the lead to permanently hamper their development. Because with the Prankster deck, they won't catch back up on putting items on their hermits fast enough. So as the opponent, you kind of just have to hope they don't have Stress+clock+double item and play one hermit turn one.
you should make the tournament best of 3, for balance too there is a reason all official TCG tournaments do this haha
@@luissuazo3684yeah, unfortunately I don't think that's feasible with all the Hermits' time commitments
best of 3 is very important, even though siding is not a mechanic here
it just gives the losing hermit a fair shot if they get steamrolled the first time
@@monatae9725t's in their own time. Most of these hermits play even more times in a sitting. And often it'll only be two games not three... Best of 3 is a great idea
@@WedgeCuts exactly this seeing as its TCG after all and luck of draw is a key factor, you could loose in first few turns just because you got a bad hand. So bo3 is there for that, i wouldnt even be apposed for the allow of a deck switch between games for both parties seeing as you can get a bad match up of just going against a deck type thats weak to you, its all about a fair chance to everyone in the end and its the best way for that.
Given time demands, I'd just let everyone know they can pre-game sideboard
Stress can be a game-changer: YOLO + Totem and she one-shots but lives, w/chorus fruit you can't attack her directly.
I think it would be interesting if HotGuy could attack while AFK if you attach a bow, but afterwards you have to coin flip to see if he takes kinetic energy damage.
You should totally go Maximillion Pegasus and enter the tournament with the expansion pack cards in your deck. Just to show them off.
Brilliant episode! Wanted to a say thank you for introducing me to the world of tcgs. Never heard of it before this season, and now I’m going to my first Pokémon tcg pre release event tomorrow! So happy to have a new hobby
A thank you from here as well--now into Mtg Arena thanks to Beef lol
Thank you so much for addressing the "Rare Mumbo" balance problem! It's absurd how much damage that card does... No Hermit is safe if you roll well, getting the full 240 damage with an AFK Hermit... Especially if you have TNT with it as well!
Even as something simple as not allowing him attached effect cards could help
That or with fortune which makes for 100% heads and an automatic 240 damage
Imagine rare mumbo clock
Beeeeefers! Get someone to make the custom item textures for the items to make it easier to pick the hermit health maps. Having to hover over each of them to pick the right number can slow that process down a lot.
The perfect beginning hand for a prankster deck would be a Mumbo, a double prank item, a grian, and a fortune book. Two turn win.
No. The perfect beginning hand is Stress, clock, double item, item, and another hermit. Turn 1 win.
@Lightning Lance perhaps, but you would have to go first as well, and that is 50/50
I think we really need more speed runner cards.
Edit: they could have a move called clutch in which they flip a coin to avoid some amount of damage and if successful flip again to deal some damage back.
IIRC Joe said he was asking for his alter ego card to be speedrunner because he also wants more speedrunner cards (even though it doesn't really make that much sense thematically)
Maybe there can be type-bound effect cards, or move cards.
Clutch: "If you are a speedrunner, and you recieve more than 100HP damage, your speedy moves halves it."
You first have to draw the card, and you need to have a speedrunner active. But then you could defend against the onlaught of Mumbo, for example.
Ren the King could be Speedrunner because he speedran becoming king
Beef, you can add custom textures to health cards so that its easier to find the correct one
Love Doc's gasp as he learns there's already 5 new cards done. You can heard the wheels turning immediately. :D
Velocité should stack a buff that increases Hawkeye or Bow damage
Velocité with a bow counts as a use of Hawkeye?
Maybe it should increase Hawkeye damage by 30
It would indeed be interesting to add like a +10 to Hawkeye for every Velocité used (resets upon using Hawkeye). It'd make Velocité essentially count as a 60-damage move instead of 50, but only if you get your Hawkeye off.
i was thinking along the lines of make hawkeye scale with the number of elytra items equipped, like if you put the extra 3rd elytra item it gets an extra +40 or something, i had originally thought like make hawkeye only need 1 item card to play, but the more you have attached it scales, but the card it already created with two (also isnt my game, just ideas)
Velocité isn't a blue move. It doesn't proc extra abilities.
Beetlejohst:
Special attack.
Dance: move a status effect from one hermit to another.
The pranksters card, Its counterable. It's jevin + hypno + chorus fruit play. Always rotating your oponnent hermit while chipping away their health.
I'm praying for a Tatman card for Mumbo or Poultryman for Grian
Why would Poultryman be for Grian? It's the man in a chicken costume
@@noatmealcookie02 that is true
I get poltreyman but it should be bumbo bagons for mumbo
@@noatmealcookie02 poultryman is grian
I still like the idea of Bumbo and Iskellman.
Bit of unasked-for seeding advice: in the tumblr sexyman tournament, the rankings were used to make it as likely as possible that the finals would be a dramatic confrontation, rather than starting with the strongest players against each other. This is classic seeding strats. However, that does eliminate bottom-ranked players quickly; perhaps making it a double-elimination bracket (first round losers go up against each other, winner of that part of the bracket faces the finalist but has to defeat them twice in order to properly win) would mitigate that risk somewhat? Double-elimination brackets are always fun, but do add to the logistical workload.
I love how you made the expansion card art it looks great
Hawkeye's Hotguy attack could return a bow from the discard pile to the hand after attacking, that would allow him to synergize a lot with the bow.
Docm*77* ranked 7th place is just poetic
While matching stronger Hermits to stronger Hermits is a good thing for the first 1 or 2 rounds, it might mean that the winner is determined early on.
I play the online a lot and I hate playing against rare mumbo. I played a rare TFC and the mumbo defeated him in one turn. Lots of people use rare mumbo. I bet I could start a game and they use rare mumbo. It’d be cool if you could just nerf mumbo rather than ban him.
Mr. Beef, I'm gonna pile it on here, the Hermitcraft TCG is by far my favorite thing I have witnessed on this server, maybe close to when BDubs and Etho came back to reunite MineCrack. But, you have done something incredible here.
If you looking for a way to slow down prankster you could make a book that effects special moves like a curse of binding
Hey Beef! You should make an alter-ego Etho card of type prankster and make the special move called "stained glass". The special move should inflict "piercing damage" (damage that neglects armour) if heads and "non piercing damage" if tails. Just a thought that came into mind when thinking about Ethos Season 8 shade-e-e's glass prank. :)
What if the current rare Mumbo was made into an ultra rare? That way, if someone wanted to have Mumbo in their deck, they would have to sacrifice one of their fishing rods or clocks.
I think the problem with that is card circulation, there's already lots of rare Mumbos and very few Ultra Rare cards. I think better changes would be tweaking the strong move to bring it more in line with other moves, hermits could come to Beef to get their card updated
My suggestion would be: Base damage -> 30, Extra damage per head -> 30, move cost -> 3 prankster energy
This would reduce the average damage of the move assuming you have a prankster from 150 to 112.5, bringing it more in line with other cards
@Aaron Thomas I like what you're thinking. Maybe we could keep one old Mumbo as an error card as well 🤔
HI
Regarding the synergy board, I really like the colored stained glass showing the effect and was wondering if putting the arrow in a "greater than" pattern would add clarity or remove clarity...
(Build < Terraform < Redstone)
Regardless, an awesome job day after day. Much enjoyed!
I think a fun effect for the Hotguy card would be to make it so if you use velocite, hawkeye does increased damage for that first turn after its use.
You can absolutely hear the joy in docs face at the mention of the expansion pack, I absolutely love how obsessed they are with the game, you deserve every accolade Beef!
There should be dual energy cards like one for explorer/speedrunner
for Hawkeye it could maybe be optionally used on AFK hermits, like the bow. Maybe instead it will do 60 damage?
I also like the idea that it could do double damage *if* you have a third explorer card (representing more height to build velocite)
Hawkeye effect suggestion
Every turn that “Velocite” is used before using “Hawkeye” +20 damage
It would be better for + 40
@@Baristas_Coven +40 might get too op really fast
That's a really good idea.
@@DragonTuba5159 do the maths if it was just +20 than it would be better to just spam hawkeye, if it was +30 than it would just be equal +40 and beyond actually shows a positive increase in damage thus making it viable
@@Baristas_Coven Hawkeye would catch up in damage if the effect stays. (Which Beef would have to rule on if he uses this)
If Mumbo is in the deck, you have to have 3 types of hermits and items total. So no prankster only deck allowed.
Heya Beef! Just a suggestion, but you can make some sort of rare "omni" item cards, which can be used as any item type, as part of the expansion pack. Make it as rare as the double item card, and mayybe the double omni can be the only ultra rare item cards, though I think double omni would be too OP. This card can help for moves like boomers and NHO, that relies on other hermit types.
Yes definitely need some rainbow energy to make multicolored decks more viable.
Absolutely, though double omni need some kind of debuff (like reduced atk damage or discard at the end of turn). and maybe a dual-type item to speed up multicolored decks
I was thinking dual type item cards. Omni is already kinda too strong imo, never mind double omni.
But if the limitations on rares are like online, with only 12 rares allowed, then the dual item cards would kind of need to be common. Or we would need an uncommon rarity added (which, actually, that would balance a lot of other items as well... TNT, Lead, Composter, Flint and Steel could be uncommon for instance)
Could be a Command block
@@amy-stika Dual type items sound fun to try and come up with the art for- obvious is a redstone ore card that counts as miner or redstone, though I'm having a hard time coming up with other combinations off the top of my head.
Mumbo nerf:-
All you need to do is implement the doubling before the coin flip.
so he does 80/120/160 damage with afk hermit. no need to change the card, just the way it’s used. still a good card but not overpowered.
If you're taking bits from the online card game, I'd recommend using rule where you can't have duplicate ultra rare cards. Clock is absolutely busted enough at one copy, so much so the online version made it so you can't get it back with the chest card
An idea for the hawkeye effect.
By playing a bow card when hotguy is AFK the bow activates hawkeye instead of its usual effect.
So hot guy can have a surprise attack from afk.
This would be in addition to the normal attack by the active hermit.
It would already be nerfed as players are not allowed to have more than 3 bows in their deck.
Ok, I've got an idea for Hawkeye, hear me out:
Instead of item cards, the move requires a bow effect card to be placed in Hotguys item zone. The user can then decide whether to use the hermit (deal 70 dmg to active hermit) or to use his bow (deal 40 dmg to Afk hermit.
Could be very strong, but then again, it does require a very specific card to work, and it could easily be dismantled by leads and such.
Suggestions for cards:- Mess with the values if required
A-Dwarfpulse ( Impulse ) Miner Type
1. Dwarf Vision - 40
Reveals 2 of the opponent's cards if heads
2 Dig - 90
B- Cleaning Lady (Pearl) Balanced type
1. Clean - 40
2. Dumpster Diving - 80
If heads draw two cards
C -Beacon (Attached Effect Card) - Can introduce different effects on this using seperate cards(Ultra rare)
•Speed Beacon - if heads hermit evades attack
•Regeneration Beacon - Heals 20 hp every turn/ heals 40 hp if heads
•Strength Beacon - Does + 40 damage if heads
All beacons count as a beacon so only one per deck if only 1 ultra rare is allowed in a deck
Hey Beef, instead of out right banning Mumbo or clock or Joe Hill, maybe think about making some of them 1 or 2 per deck, It would cut down their power with out cutting out the card
It would be cool to have 1 ultra rare 3x item card of each type out in circulation
Love the balance of the OCG, the rarity limitation will do well. You should probably limit to one of each ultra rare, too
we really need a poltry man card for grian. his alt attack could be egg for low damage and Chicken for medium with a chance to make the other hermit switch with an afk hermit.
you should make “hawkeye” from “hotguy” cause the burn effect when using the bow card
because he is a “hot” guy
Nah!
18:04 That moment Doc put out Mumbo AFK, I got “I’m gonna take your mustache away” stuck in my head.
Been waiting for this episode to see the Alter Ego pack!
Jevin, Etho and Cub are the top ranked Hermits (in any minigame). Why am I not surprised?
5:57 Tango with the 100% winrate, the absolute GOAT of TCG
In Magic, there are dual mana cards that can be used on 2 types of cards. Having some dual item cards could make for more multi type decks.
If you do mumbo’s “tatoman” or potato form, the move “2B2T” aka the oldest anarchy server in minecraft, would be a good rounded move, it is him using end crystal pvp like he did in season 8, thus he can do in a coin flip 150 damage or nothing, but a second coin flip to do ether 0 damage to himself or 80 damage to himself, it is a risky but potentially a very good finishing move.
What I think would work for the expansion pack are item cards that are dual type.
For example a miner/builder item card that can be used as either 1 miner item or 1 builder item card.
These would make it possible to have things such as a consistent NHO deck
That's going to be so much work though, especially if he decides to make every possible combinations. Instead of just dual, maybe he can make a universal item card, as rare as a double card but can be used as 1 item of any type. That way, he'll only need to make 1 map.
@@jsw973 I know it would be a lot of work. But it would give a reason for the hermits to keep buying item packs, since the limit of 3 means everyone will already have the double item cards they need in no time.
Hey beef! For rewards for the tournament you could do where (if it’s a bracket) the first match is the normal 3-1 but as you get higher in the bracket it would multiply by 2!
For and example
First round: Reward 3-1
Second round: Reward 6-2
Third round: Reward 12-4
This is my favorite part about card games, when people start winning by unconventional means and find broken interactions
For the Hawkeye move, perhaps you gain the ability to equip a bow your Hawkeye move now only works on AFK Hermits and to attack the Online Hermit you can only use Velocitè. A bit similar to Got ‘em but for balancing purposes it would result in a lower damage move against the active hermit.
For the tournament, you could do it tennis style, where the top 4 players are seeded, then everyone else is randomly placed. That way the top few players likely don’t play until the semis
I've missed the tcg games from s9, been rewatching them all. Nice thing is that if I ever miss it I can just come back and rewatch them all
How about for Hawkeye: if you have a bow, you can attach beside the hermits (like armor, etc) and can be use to do extra 20 or 40 damage everytime you attack with Hawkeye. Discard after the player knocks out. If it's turns out to be too much damage, then probably add flip a coins to it. I hope this is usefull.
Explorer also makes sense for HotGuy because his origin occurred in the End! When he unintentionally shot Grian into the void.
one thing that they could do to nerf mumbo without changing the stats and description is to add another card, maybe an attachment card, that makes it so that any coin flips are always tails (or the negative ver of the coin flip). Either that or maybe introduce a new type of card, maybe called Arena Cards, and make it so that it can't be discarded and still block coin flips
I was thinking Poultry Man could get an attack that did that, but an item would be good too. Maybe both. I just like the idea of Poultry Man being the counter to Mumbo, but he'd be a Prankster too... Unless he worked like the ultra rare Etho, where you can use his abilities with any items.
not sure if im early enough but here goes, i design ccgs myself and have done for almost 15 years and playing for almost 25 years most ccgs have a really hard time striking balance leading to rarity limitations, cards getting banned both usually caused by power creep
approaching this expac to strictly keep the original set balanced is 100% the best way to go about it, adding dual type items, effect cards that displace maxed hermits/items/equipment back to the hand or deck and turning some of the least played types into direct counters to the strongest decks would be my suggestions because i noticed the browser version of the game makes consistent and hyper competetive decks diffiult to build
tbh you might want to wait and see how people place at the tourney and what the winners used to see what really needs dealing with
The alter ego cards look amazing!
A neat pvp 5 am pearl move could be something like “No Allies” a move that increases in power if you have no other hermits on the bench, or if you’re down 2 points
More card ideas!

Loving the tcg content.
Man, these alter egos are so cool. It'd be awesome to add Bumbo Baggins there too. Something along the lines of:
Type: Balanced
Name: Bumbo
HP: 250
Move 1: Baggins 60
Move 2: (Special) H.C.B.B.S 40
Deals additional +40HP for each prize card already received in the game (both player and opponent).
I love all of your videos can’t wait to see the next alter ego
Doc had a great idea there... make Mumbo into the first unique card... where you are only allowed to include 1 copy in your deck. That way you need to draw it, and if killed, the player could use a chest to bring it back. But it would be limited in implementation while still remaining legal...
I like how Etho doesn't really upload games but is supposed to have come up with this strategy that's so evil you're going to ban it 😂 nice guy on the surface but secretly he's an assassin
Doc is totally right: given the impossibilty to beta test the card game, it is impressive how well it turns out to be. Good job!
Yay. Beef, could u make a datapack where when a village spawns a TCG vending machine spawns with it so we in our single worlds can collect them as well?
An interesting mechanic from Magic the Gathering is revealing a card to the opponent when you play certain spells. Example: HotGuy could have a bonus if you revealed a bow card to your opponent when you attack him with "Hawkeye".
We got hotguy, now it’s time for Grian’s alter ego cuteboy.
ur not an og
Grian alter ego in s6 was poultry man
@@prod.lululu8924 Cmon everyone knows poultryman. But smw can have 2 alter egos yk.
Ariana Grian-de
@@WonkyWater-YT ok..... but who would u prefer
poultry man or cute-guy
i say poultry man bc there was a whole story behind it. Cute guy hasnt had a story yet
@@prod.lululu8924 Yeah, Poultry Man for sure.
I second the Etho Shade-E-E's alter ego, I think having free glass clog up the item slots would be so entertaining.
