Do watch the vdo carefully. In Star Shah's visuals everyone is alone. A cat walking lonely behind Star shah. A tired man returned from office sleeping in chair wearing office dress . Alone owner of Book shop . A person sleeping on thela. A person dancing alone.
Zeeshan's visuals show every one is with loved ones. Aunty with cat. An old couple. Aunty ironing a man's dress. Husband playing with wife hair. Daughter in law nursing her mother in law.

This is my personal favourite song from the season and I dont know why people are not loving it more. I feel you have to have had enough life experience to appreciate this song.
You are wrong. Zeeshan is singing with zeal as he is full of joy. Shah is melow because he is dejected and depleted of energy.

Thank you for speaking out about the coke studio name debate, no one should and can snatch that away because the product/show/brand is made popular by several hard working teams over 14 seasons and now they just want to ride that wave without putting any blood, sweat and tears in that success story
The higher octave was because the director wanted the Optimist to outweigh the Pessimist . For those who do not understand urdu , there was a writing above the book shop "dukaan baraye firokht" means " The shop is for sale " this reflects that Uncle is bidding farewell to his life long sweet books collection , means the Young Generation (India and Pakistan) gave up on books. This frame was the most hard hitting one . In terms of Cinematography , the Light Cast over the flute player was the most impactful (giving a sad and a lonely place standing under the moon ) and the tone and texture of the flute was the most beautiful one in terms of Soundscapes.
Ananya I noticed this too about starshah that he has sur in his voice, he's not just the typical wrapper jinko classical ki koi jhalak nahi aati. The "starshah" word was enough for people who understand music to know he has a great voice

The Magical Journey will explain the backstory. It’s called 2am because that’s the time people usually wrestle with such emotional dilemmas. The set, each frame, everything meticulously depicts the two sides of this conversation. I find some people can easily dismiss songs like this which have so much heart and hard work poured into them and which require the listeners to face their own emotions.
Others will feel every lyric and drown themselves in the music. Everyone reacts differently but I’ve seen people break down into tears while listening to this song, even people who don’t speak the language. Zeeshan Ali is a classical singer. He has a huge body of work that can be found on RUclips, including a song for Nescafé Basement. Thank you for the reaction.

In the Punjabi dialect, if someone is being negative about a topic then the counter person will use the same tone to make him understand what is flaws in his/her thoughts so they keep it that way. That's why the Zeeshan pitch should be high.
star shah is an amazing all round performer, pakkay sur wala rapper hai, I consider him the most sureela rapper in DHH today. he could give competition to any actual singer any day of the week, but he chooses to be a rapper because he loves rap and hip hop in general

High pitch singing is traditional in Punjab. Zeeshan Alis role in this song is the soulful friend "telling off" his friend who is low and pessimistic. At least that is my interpretation.

Also, more than optimistic vs pessimistic its about a guy who was positive about love and now hes so heartbroken that he’s putting hard hitting facts on why love is not love anymore. So he’s not a pessimist.
Than comes zeeshan. His focus and high pitch response is because he’s trying to convince this lost soul star shah that what else is love? There’s love thats why all these things happen every positive has its negative so thats why he’s stressing that in such a powerful high pitch singing because he’s convincing him.
Thats the whole point of this song rather than a optimist vs pessimist duet argument.

There are several coke studios which are representing their own cultures although pakistan and india share almost the same culture but the way of portrayal of the culture is different so its better to call coke studio pakistan . 😊

Well said! While the dichotomy of love is a concept that's been explored in Bollywood before but this song is about more than that superficial relationship wala Pyar. I mean relationship wala Pyaar is also a part of it but Star Shah is more lamenting the state of the world and humanity and talking about how we've become selfish and out to get each other at all times. While on the other hand, what Zeeshan is saying that despite all the horrible things happening in our society, we cannot deny that love does exist. We just have to look around us to see it. Whether it's between a couple or the love between parents and children or the love you have for your pet etc., it's everywhere. And that love is pure and genuine and we should not deny that. So while those songs are good examples of similar concepts, this song runs much deeper than them!

With due respect Rohail Hayat isn’t the founder of coke studio, Xulfi was the person who gave the idea and carry it like a professional and make this magic happen, Rohail Hayat couldn’t carry the real responsibility and that’s why he was fired affer producing some seasons. You have to admit the reality and appreciate the work of Xulfi.
Xulfi came into this way after, its Rohails idea and he's the one who took this to his friend who was coca cola country manager for Pakistan. How can you even deny this fact.

I second you! Coke Studio Pakistan should remain Coke Studio because it is the OG, the rest of the studios can integrate their country names with Coke Studio. For me, Pakistan's Coke Studio is The Coke Studio
