    Garage on the hill, looks great and it was a good thing to do. Now you know everything is correct in it, you got the grease out, got a new seal in facing the correct way. BTW I think you should always back the sector adjuster screw out before you bolt the side cover back on and then adjust it. If the gasket is a different thickness you could crack the side cover. The sector should have zero backlash in the straight ahead position.

    Well look at the positive side, it looks great and I'm not sure you'd have been able to clean all the grease without taking it apart. So it wasn't all unnecessary. One other thing about steering that I'd recommend you look into is the king pin bearings, those are usually the cause of knotchy steering and also the famous death wobble, your Jeep might have some issue there, as I saw in another video that someone added a steering dampener. Looking forward to seeing all things back on the jeep!
